2022 is a busy year for space exploration, thanks to some exciting ground-breaking missions we get to see the universe like never before. The results are amazing, now let's look back to the biggest and most groundbreaking space discoveries of 2022:

1. March 2022 - Cosmic milestone: NASA confirms 5,000 exoplanets exist outside our solar system.

2. In April 2022, NASA's Hubble Space Telescope has determined the size of the largest icy comet nucleus astronomers have ever seen. The giant comet, C/2014 UN271 (Bernardinelli-Bernstein) has an estimated diameter of about 80 miles, making it larger than the state of Rhode Island. The nucleus is about 50 times larger than the nucleus found at the center of most known comets.

3. In May 2022, astronomers released the first ever image of the supermassive black hole at the center of the Milky: "Sagittarius A star" is a supermassive black hole located at the center of our spiral galaxy, the Milky Way. The black hole has an estimated mass of millions of times the mass of our sun.

4. In July 2022 telescope's first images of the James Webb Space were released a new era in astronomy. this is the most powerful Observatory ever to be sent into space universe.

5. In September 2022, NASA successfully carried out a mission to change the path of an asteroid.
A NASA spacecraft successfully changed the orbit of an asteroid by deliberately crashing into it. NASA says the data shows that the DART probe's impact on a small, harmless space rock called Dimorphos managed to change its orbit. This represents a strategy to prevent real threats to the earth in the future.

6. In October 2022, another milestone in the ambitious space program: China has launched the last piece of the new Tiangong space station, completing construction. The 18-meter long laboratory module, named Mengtian (meaning "dreaming of heaven") will link up with the Tianhe core module and the Wentian experimental module to complete China's Tiangong space station Country.

7. In November 2022, NASA's Artemis I mission has successfully ended with the landing and recovery of the Orion spacecraft.
This mission was an uncrewed, integrated flight test of the hardware and technology that will take humans back to the Moon for the first time in more than five decades.
The mission also marked the launch of NASA's massive SLS rocket. The new super rocket sent the Orion capsule on a roughly four-week journey around the moon.
Artemis 1 paves the way for NASA's campaign to return humans to the lunar surface by 2025 as a jumping-off point to Mars.

Again, 2022 does not disappoint when it comes to space exploration, thank you all so much for watching and supporting us. Hope you have a great New Year and we will see you all again next year
