Breeders' Cup World Championship. It was the year-end culmination, spanning 14 races, with every horse, jockey, trainer, and owner across the globe keeping an eye on it.

This year's race is held at Keeneland Racetrack in Lexington, Kentucky, and includes a number of accomplished thoroughbreds as well as a long list of the most well-known jockeys and trainers in the industry.

North American stallions are nominated annually for the Breeders' Cup. Once a stallion is nominated and spawned (including mares), all of its offspring (ponies) from that breeding season will be eligible for nomination in the year they were born.
All horses must be nominated to compete in the Breeders' Cup World Championship, starting with stallions.
