How to take a safe video when training a horse

When working around horses, it's crucial to know how to be safe while filming them.
In this video, Jonathan Gauthier, a horse trainer specialist, will show you how to take a safe video with his Top Prospect horse.
Jonathan has trained his horse successfully, and it shows confidence when he asks it to try harder. They look excellent while filming.
Here are some techniques and tips on how to take a safe video when training a horse:
- Try to ride your horse the same as you do every day, and pretend the camera is not there. You can do that day if you only get one or two of the best stops.
- Then, we are going to do the lead changes. Start with the right to the left. And then do the left to right.
- And after left to right. In case he feels good, usually after a lead change, you can slowly do a half circle. People can watch him move on the right side but then immediately take him to the fast circle. Please see the video to learn this skill.
- When you want your horse straighter for the change, you do need control of that right shoulder.
