I'm Tom Johnson, Thomas Johnson Antique Furniture Restoration in Gorm, Maine. We enjoy making these
furniture restoration videos, but due to the nature of our work and the nature of the video
medium, we often have to leave things out. We just don't have time to put them in. So,
this is a sequence from my video from the side of the road to the center of the room
that we thought was worthy of a closer look. Here I glue up a tabletop where every board
had come unglued on its way to a complete restoration.
Doing it for the dog.
Okay.
All right, you can see I wasn't, obviously these are lousy joints. I couldn't run them
through the jointer. I'd lose too much wood. There were so many. But I wasn't really prepared
for how hard it would be to get them to come together on the ends. But I think it's going
to be all right. I hope you enjoyed this closer look at a glue up, and I hope you
agree with me that it looks pretty good. I'll see you next time.
