My Dream Car!
That's why you have Nubbin in the vlog.
Good mate.
That's not right.
Hey guys, how's it going? It's vlog time.
That's how you start vlogs, with energy.
You trick people into thinking that you're doing something good.
That's how you do it.
We've finally got some new back doors.
They're in.
They look good.
A couple of little problems that we need to sort out.
A couple of little bits that are unfinished.
And little bits that maybe went a little bit wrong.
You know when you go around after someone's done a job
and you just sort of have a look and go,
that's not right, that's not right.
So there's a couple of little bits,
but the guys from the company are coming back round today
just to have a little look and make sure everything's perfect.
Yeah, they seem really keen to make sure that everything's right,
so that's fair enough, innit?
Can't grumble with that.
I like them though.
I really like them.
I did not think I would get this excited about doors.
Basically how the kitchen came around,
we wanted to update the back doors,
they were just looking a bit tired.
And then it sort of went to, well, if we're doing the doors,
then we need to do the floor,
because there was a little wall there,
half wall that you might remember.
And then it was like, well, if I'm doing the floors,
I'm getting rid of this.
And if we're getting rid of this, we might as well get new cupboards.
So it turned into a whole big thing.
And then we're also improving the garden now as well.
Yeah, because now you can properly see how s*** the garden is.
And a few of you have noticed how tired our slabs are looking outside.
Have they?
Yeah, a couple of people said they look a bit naff, didn't they?
Yeah.
You're right.
We agree with you.
One person said they're looking a bit old.
They're not that old at all.
Nope.
Just, anyway, just wasn't done right.
Doesn't matter, we're over it.
We're getting them completely redone.
But should we show you the back doors?
You want to have a look?
Yeah, go on, show them your back doors.
Boom, there we go.
I really like them.
I really like them a lot.
I think they're modern and sleek.
So, obviously, this is where, if you remember, we had a little half wall.
So, obviously, that's been taken out, which means we would have had to have replaced the floor anyway.
But, luckily, I hate the floor.
So, looking forward to replacing that.
You want to show this?
Yeah, go on.
So, yeah, they look great.
I really like them.
They fold into each other.
Obviously, I'm always thinking about people around for a barbecue.
Yeah, it's all about the barbecue, isn't it?
That's what motivates me.
I just love them, I just really like them.
Yeah, they're nice.
But, like I say, a couple of little bits that need sorting out.
We've got a little bit of a...
Just a little gap up there that we need to...
It's a bit breezy, which I'm not sure is supposed to be like that.
They only got done yesterday.
Got done on Friday, this is Saturday.
They did it in one day.
Did it in one day, which is great.
I mean, you sort of need to do it doors in one day
because you need to shut the doors at night.
But, yeah, so that's the update for this Saturday.
But, as everyone knows, it's a big investment to do up your kitchen
and I think you're feeling a bit of the pressure
to make sure that it's right.
We would have probably been a bit further along.
If it wasn't so expensive and scary.
No, not that.
If you'd have just come up with the decisions quicker.
You decide something?
You come up with something?
I'm just...
I'm defending you.
I'm saying that you just want to get it done right.
But there's a bit of pressure there, isn't there?
Yeah, so the doors are in, so that was always the first step
because we couldn't do anything until the doors were done.
I'm glad you went for that style.
James wanted bifolding.
I did at the beginning because that was what I just thought.
Because I...
It wasn't the bifolding style that I was interested in.
I was interested in having a big...
Opening.
So that...
You wanted your back doors to open really wide.
Yeah, so that you can fit a lot of people through them.
That was what was more important to me.
I was quite against the bifold though.
Yeah, but you said this will do that, and it does.
And I like the way that they do fold all the way out and go flat.
And I do really like them.
I think they look really cool.
Anyway, should we go?
This is insanely long.
I know, but we've got to talk a load of crap, haven't we?
Because we've got to put something in it.
Hopefully.
The more crap we talk, the more s**t we film.
Might be able to edit it into something that works.
But I'm going to have to have a shower because you look so glamorous today.
You look so beautiful.
Just put on a little summer dress.
But it just highlights what a freak I am.
Which is depressing.
So I'm going to have a shower and make myself look a bit better.
Alright.
A lot of people were asking about my cars after they saw them in last week's vlog.
I can't remember.
And now I need to do a little bit of work on both my cars.
This one.
The Tangerine Dream.
And then obviously I've got my little Mini here as well.
That's a slightly bigger project.
And we'll get to that at some point.
I think not last year, the year before.
Because last year was right off.
I had to go away for work.
And I had to stay in a hotel for a week at a time.
And one week I parked in the underground car park of this hotel.
And what I didn't realise was there was just a leaky pipe above my car.
And water was just dripping on my car constantly for a whole week.
And I've ended up with this mark on my car here.
That doesn't come out at all.
I've tried to polish it and they've got a sort of power polisher.
I think that's what they're called.
So I need to get this sorted out.
What's annoying is it is on one, two, three panels.
And they love it, don't they?
They absolutely love it once you've got some damage that crosses panels.
They really love to stick their boot in, don't they?
And that's what I'm going to do today.
That's exciting enough for a vlog, isn't it?
Hello. How's it going?
It's been a few days since we last did some vlogging.
The car's back. The Tangerine Dream is back.
And yeah, a lovely job.
All back to normal. Looks beautiful.
Love it. Absolutely love it.
So right now I'm going to jump in the car.
I'm heading to a Ferrari dealership.
I'm not 100% sure why, to be honest with you.
I'm not going to be getting a Ferrari.
But I think we're going...
John's taking us. They've got some special Ferraris here or something.
And I like cars.
So I thought, yeah, I'll go and have a look at some special Ferraris with you.
Here he is, the big man.
Oh, get in.
Star of YouTube these days.
They've got something called the Galleria going on
where they have a selection of some of the rarest and most expensive Ferraris
you can see in the UK.
And customers have brought them in.
And we've come to have a look around and see what they've got.
Have a look at those.
Absolutely.
You can't get a car seat in that though, can you?
No.
This car, Enzo Ferrari used to drive one of these.
He's his daily runner.
And bear in mind, it's 1958.
This car produced 217 brake horsepower
and did 0-60 in 8 seconds.
Now, if you cast your mind back to 1958,
they were probably still using horse and car.
This would have been a rocket ship.
You remember that, don't you, John?
Yeah.
I remember it well.
I was just so happy.
So the top speed of this car is 143 miles an hour
and its estimated value is about £400,000.
I just find it's a really big car, but it's so compact and tight inside.
It's just brilliant.
So beautiful.
And typically Italian with the ashtray next to the gear stick as well.
And this is one of 353 cars of this style that were produced on the Dino.
Now, I sold this car about a year ago
and asked my client very kindly if we could borrow it.
And he was there, of course, no problem at all.
Stunning, beautiful car.
So the estimated value of this one is around about £300,000.
Again, in 1973, 143 brake horse would have been light speed stuff.
Again, it's just a work of art.
The attention to detail on these is just wonderful.
Does the roof come off?
Yes, it does.
It's kind of like a tarp top, so this centre section does come out
and it gives you open-air driving as well.
Next car in our line-up is the last of the Testarossa range.
Miami Vice.
Absolutely.
And this one's called an F512M.
1994. 440 brake horse.
Top speed of 195 miles an hour.
One of 41 cars in the UK that's a right-hand drive.
Estimated valuation about £400,000.
Next one along is one of three cars.
550 Maranello. 1998. 485 brake horse.
4.4 seconds long to 60.
199 miles per hour top speed.
And this is only one of three Schumacher editions in the country.
This is just magnificent.
I love this car as well.
458 Speciale Aperta.
Estimated value about £450,000.
0-60 in 3 seconds.
605 brake horse.
One of 499 cars.
And I don't know if you guys knew, but yellow was the original Ferrari colour.
Didn't know that.
No, so back in the day when Ferrari was first getting off the ground,
they chose the yellow as their flagship colour.
The significance of the yellow is where they're built in Italy,
the flag of Modena is yellow.
And that's why you'll always find on the badges, they're all yellow.
And then that colour scheme lends itself to the inside as well.
This is very, very well thought out, this car.
And the yellow stitching with the Alcantara just lifts everything.
It's an amazing car and it sounds amazing when you start it up as well.
This one's got a 6-litre V12 engine.
780 brake horse.
0-60 in 2.9 seconds.
Top speed of 218mph.
With an estimated value of about £700,000.
The next car we have next to the last one in this showroom is the 488 Pista.
This car has got a 720 brake horse.
0-60 in 2.85 seconds.
Top speed of 213mph.
And you're looking at an estimated value of around about £300,000.
So the first car that we have here is a 288 GTO.
The estimated value of this vehicle is £2,000,000.
1984 this was made.
And it's a 2.9-litre twin-turbo V8 producing 400 brake horse.
Top speed of 190mph.
And it's one of 272 cars.
£2,000,000.
I haven't got blame for it.
Of course I have.
Rubbish.
Call me Michael.
This is the poster boy with the Ferrari ZF40.
It's just an amazing, amazing looking car.
1987.
Again this is a 2.9-litre twin-turbo V8 engine.
478 brake horse.
0-60 in 4.1 seconds.
With a top speed of 201mph.
One of 1,311 cars produced.
Estimated valuation of £1,000,000.
Back from Ferrari.
I just feel a bit depressed now because I don't have a Ferrari.
But they gave us a little gift.
A little Ferrari bag.
I got a Ferrari mug.
Alright, it is bank holiday Sunday.
We're over at John and Claire's.
We're trying our hardest to make a weekend of it.
The weather's been quite difficult.
But now, this is the exciting bit.
Me and John went to the butcher's on Friday.
To pick up this meat.
And it is looking pretty good.
Look at John's big meat.
What have you done to it John?
I put salt and pepper on it overnight.
Just wrapped it in cling film.
So it's dried out a little bit.
And then I've covered it in dirty kale this morning.
And it's got a bit of coffee in it.
So it should give it a nice deep flavour.
And we're going to smoke it on the Traeger.
At about 110 degrees for a couple of hours.
And then whack the temperature up.
And finish it off so it's nice and crisp.
In the meantime.
We've got plenty to be getting on with.
While we're waiting for this to cook.
We've got some beer.
Although I did do the thing.
I mean usually when we come round.
I always bring six bottles of beer or something.
Just as a gesture.
Just a hollow gesture really.
And I end up drinking John's drink.
Didn't even bother.
Didn't bother this time.
Just came with nothing.
Just said give me some drink and feed me please.
What's going on?
Just say it and forget it.
Let's see what happens now.
Did you get a Ferrari in the end?
Do you know what? I couldn't decide which one James.
So maybe next time.
Right didn't it?
It's a bit chilly isn't it?
But if you drink enough.
I've got a stomach ache.
That's why I've not been in the vlog.
I was going to vlog yesterday.
While you were at your mug shop.
Ferrari?
Yeah.
But weren't they just selling cups?
They were selling Ferraris.
I couldn't afford them.
You went for a cup.
Yeah I was going to vlog yesterday.
But I've just not been feeling well.
That's boring.
Everybody wants to hear somebody moaning all the time.
We've been cooking this beef.
For a good few hours.
Is it done?
Is this it coming off?
John's going to pull off his meat for us.
It's been a good weekend for Buckley.
We're taking it off.
Oh my god look at that.
It smells amazing.
I can confirm.
John's meat smells beautiful.
We're all fascinated how you're going to serve this John.
Yeah and me mate.
I think I'm going to take it from the.
Oh look at that.
Look at the way that's just going through there.
Oh my god.
I'm going to take that.
Good meat.
Are you filming me?
Yeah I'm filming you.
I'm just about to
enjoy my steak and potatoes.
What are you doing?
What?
I'm vlogging Harrison.
Should I turn it off now?
I don't know do you think this is interesting?
Yeah film.
Back to grab the camera John.
Because your bread went down
so well in the previous vlog.
This is a
slightly different one Jane.
It's wholemeal
and white.
It's not quite as. 50-50.
50-50 is not quite.
I've been doing that for years John keep up.
Look at that just take it off.
Which half do you want Harrison?
This one.
You want that one? What the best one?
Are you talking about me?
There you go look.
All yours.
Good boy.
Are you not cold?
I'm not cold.
Harrison's proper Scottish.
You never get cold do you?
I never get cold.
And you're always complaining that it's too hot.
Even when I'm shivering.
I'm saying I'm hot.
You're a real Scotsman.
I'm a real Scotsman.
You're proud aren't you?
I'm proud and loud.
The James vlog. People aren't going to like this vlog at all.
Old lean like this.
Started drinking.
Can you see all the dirty dishes?
Yeah.
That's us home.
Nice of you to join me on this vlog Chloe.
Half past nine in the evening.
Will you keep going away doing your own thing?
It's half nine in the evening.
Played it like an absolute pro.
I'm lovely and drunk.
I've had a lovely meal.
And going to bed at a reasonable time.
So I won't feel too gross tomorrow.
Is the plan.
But we had a nice day.
I think last Saturday
was when we did the intro to this vlog.
Obviously we missed a week.
It's been over a week yeah.
Oh I got messages this morning.
Wondering where we were.
We're alright. The kids were a bit ill.
It's good though isn't it? Good that people go
where's the vlog and stuff.
The kids were a little bit ill and then we were a little bit ill.
Had a little bunk that sort of hit us.
Anyone with kids would know.
Yeah as soon as you go back to school.
It all comes.
And we mentioned about the doors.
Obviously the back doors got done.
And there was a little bit of a problem.
There was some bit of a hole around it.
Came round, checked it out, fixed it.
They're looking great. So we'll show you them tomorrow.
Nice one dad. Thanks man.
I haven't farted in a couple of vlogs.
And people do say in the comments.
Where's that fart?
Thank you mate.
Alright I'm going to bed.
I'm freezing.
It's almost 25 to 10 now.
I'm going to get myself a good
9 hours sleep I reckon.
I'll see you in the morning.
So
the hall and the
floor has been
filled in.
And the hole we had going up
the inside of the door has been filled in.
It's finished
pretty nicely.
I think we're pretty happy.
The first part
of the task.
Ahead of us.
Before I end the vlog, I just wanted to show you these.
I had to get them.
Little barbecue rubs.
I'm not sure what the connection is with buy and brew.
There we go.
That's meant to be mental hot by the way.
So if you have had that before.
Let me know how you get on with it.
I'm not feeling great today.
I'm feeling a little bit tender.
As I'm sure most people are.
On a bank holiday Monday.
Just waiting for Claire to come say goodbye.
Then we'll end it all.
Stop recording.
No we've been waiting for you.
So bank holiday Monday.
Kids back at school tomorrow.
Just getting organised.
Doing the washing.
James bought a new Ferrari.
Mug.
Thanks for watching.
I don't know what you've watched.
I don't know what this is.
I've not seen any footage.
I've not done anything.
So I don't know.
We've got to put something out.
Bye.
If you did like the video.
Give it a thumbs up.
Subscribe.
We might see you all next week.
