"This Changes the Timberwolves Backcourt Picture..."

So today we begin with this changes the Timberwolves backcourt picture as I'm sure Lamella Paul is going to have a dramatic effect on the Timberwolves overall pace of play and of course the Wolves overall success in the upcoming NBA season. I'm sure head coach Chris Finch is super excited. Coming up on today's Timberwolves digest we're also going to get into some quotes from Jaden McDaniels as he talks about what it's like actually having Lamella ball on the Minnesota Timberwolves and so far spoiler alert I guess the results all look promising at this point. Hey welcome back to the Timberwolves digest as always North America I'm Dave DuBois and I bring you the trade reports trade rumors and of course a whole a lot of commentary. Now we begin today with me asking you a question do you trust and trust is the word that I think is important here do you trust Lamella to take the Wolves to an NBA title with this particular cast of characters that the Timberwolves haven't put together this is the ensemble if you will that the team is going to be starting the season with is this a strong enough team to go all the way and do you think Lamella is a strong enough point guard will he stay healthy enough is he is strong enough point guard to help lead the Timberwolves all the way. I want to know what your thoughts and opinions are if you are new to the Timberwolves digest please go ahead and subscribe and I always like to say if you like the pod well then go ahead and like the pod. So we've got several comments from Jada McDaniels that we're going to cover first one is Jada McDaniels expressed enthusiasm about teaming calling him the best passer he's ever played with. Now of course we know that Mike Connelly was on the team and we know Rob Dillingham certainly never panned out from a point guard perspective so I'm not terribly surprised that in the limited time that Jada McDaniels has had the opportunity to play with Lamella Ball and pick up basketball so to speak that he is coming to this particular conclusion. We've got a bunch of additional quotes from a Jaden which we'll get into in just a little bit but first I wanted to take a step back in time back to the future we go with Lamella Ball actually did in the year 2025 over 20 points per game just under five rebounds and 7.1 assists. Now Lamella has had seasons earlier in his career where his assist average was actually over eight per game and I suspect with this Minnesota Timberwolves roster with the current makeup assuming everybody's largely healthy throughout the season that we will see Lamella Ball with close to eight assists per game. I cannot wait to actually see this in action. He did play 72 games so the injuries are hopefully behind him and of course part of that was limiting the amount of minutes he played. He played under 29 minutes per game and his three-point shooting percentage you are reading correctly 36.8 percent and in fact that is basically what Lamella has actually averaged throughout his career. We will get into more from what Jada McDaniels said but first a special shout out to our sponsor of the Timberwolves digest and that of course is Kelsey. On Kelsey you're trading directly against other users not the house like traditional sports books you are buying yes or no contracts on the outcome of events across sports politics or even the weather for example. Now this is a contract that I put together with Kelsey. This is predicting that the Timberwolves will go all the way with a yes at a five percent chance of actually making and winning the NBA title this year. I absolutely love what Kelsey does. If you are interested in actually trying out Kelsey use the link in the description and pin comment and code digest NBA to get this $55 added to your account instantly when you trade your first $25. All right so that is Kelsey our sponsor of the Timberwolves digest. All right let's get back to Jaden because you know Jaden's the player on the team right he's the man of few words isn't he. I am just saying anyways McDaniels believes ball will fit in perfectly with the Timberwolves and is excited about what he's seen so far and I think everybody involved around the Minnesota Timberwolves organization the reviews of Lomelo to this point have all been positive. I think you can see the vibes if you had a chance to catch some of the workout videos as well as some of the training camp video that the team released and of course that's team propaganda but at the end of the day you can tell that the players on this team that are having the opportunity to play with Lomelo seem to be extraordinarily excited about it. So one more quote from Jaden which I wanted to get into and this is what he says I like Lomelo I feel like he's going to fit perfectly with us it's just exciting the way he plays on the court what we've been seeing so far from him I mean I'm excited the best passer I've ever played with you have Jaden McDaniels I repeat Jaden McDaniels expressing how excited he is to actually play with Lomelo ball at the end of the day for this Timberwolves team to actually go all the way everybody is going to have to stay healthy and the question of how many wins are we expecting from this dynamic duo during the first season that they're together and of course there will be some growing pains but I would love to see this team end up with between 55 and maybe 58 wins this year I think there's enough talent on this team I think we'll certainly match up well against basically 75 percent of the NBA and the matchups where we don't match up as well against those other teams which of course are bigger well I'm sure head coach Chris Finch will devise some strategies for that so the question is do you trust Lomelo to take us all the way to an NBA title I want to know what your thoughts and opinions are thanks so much for tuning into the Timberwolves Digest as always North America I'm Dave DuBois wishing you all a tremendous rest of your sports viewing day
