Timberwolves Make MULTIPLE Moves...

Timberwolves make multiple moves as five players have been waived including one Drew Timmy. I guess the good news is is that Zion Pullen has been signed to a two-year deal Nicely done, Tim Connolly. We are just two sleeps away from the start of your National Basketball Association season, welcome back to the Timberwolves Digest, as always North America I'm Dave DuBois and I bring you the latest Minnesota Timberwolves news trade reports trade rumors and of course a whole lot of commentary we're going to get into the five players that were waived in just a second we're also going to talk about the potential impact of Zion Pullen on this Minnesota Timberwolves team and I thought Zion played absolutely fantastic during the summer league I thought in minutes that he was given during the preseason Zion Pullen absolutely looks like he belongs in the National Basketball Association, all right the question of the day for you all is will Pullen actually earn NBA minutes or is he actually going to hang out in Iowa with the Iowa Wolves, more go ahead and drop your comments in, all right so let's get into who the Timberwolves ultimately waived uh just the other day the Minnesota Timberwolves let go of Enrique Freeman, KJ Martin uh O'Meyer, Drew Timmy and Antonio Reeves and of course most of these players were essentially brought in to fill out the roster for the preseason of all of these players that were ultimately let go I think there's one player or two players quite frankly Enrique Freeman, Enrique Freeman and of course Drew Timmy that I think the Timberwolves are actually keeping a close eye on this Timberwolves team at this point actually does have one more roster spot available for a two-way contract I guess between Freeman and if you will Drew Timmy who would you rather see the Timberwolves organization ultimately go after now personally I was a big fan of the fact that the Timberwolves went ahead and brought back Zion Polin and dropped him into a two-way contract once again I think he did a tremendous job for this Timberwolves team certainly gives us a little bit more guard depth and we all know it's a long NBA season so that certainly should help this team out back with more about Zion Polin in just a second so do you all know what actually ruins a great outfit well the answer to that question is an old beat-up belt that quite frankly hasn't fit right in years that's why I'm super excited today to have Anson Belt and Buckle as the sponsor of today's video instead of holes Anson uses a micro adjustable track system with quarter inch increments so your belt fits perfectly every single time and i am telling you right now once you experience that kind of fit and comfort trust me you'll never want to go back to wearing a regular belt report on Zion Pullen at great at attacking the paint outside shooting uh certainly at this point is an area of improvement for Pullen I think in the upcoming season now when I think about Zion Pullen and I think about what he actually did during the summer league and how much he's actually improved with this Minnesota Timberwolves team over the past 12 months I think it's pretty safe to say that Zion Pullen is a NBA player quite frankly he's a strong enough NBA player at this point that doesn't or probably shouldn't have to be on a two-way contract which leads us to the depth of this Minnesota Timberwolves team as a whole and we all know that the depth chart for this Minnesota Timberwolves team at this point is quite frankly pretty deep just taking a look at this slide should tell you everything you need to know about our Timberwolves depth it is a very very uh it is an excellent roster across the board love to know what your thoughts and opinions are about the depth chart for this Minnesota Timberwolves team uh so uh we know that head coach Chris Finch is going to have some challenges to actually even get Pullen in games which is why Pullen will probably spend a significant amount of time if you will with um with the Iowa Wolves but if somebody or multiple players go down I think the Timberwolves at this point with Zion Pullen have a viable option somebody that is NBA ready and will be able to uh perform at a high level okay so this is a quote from Chris Finch my gut tells me that i want them on the floor together that's why we brought LaMelo here also we have such great trust in Io and Bones and TJ I'm going to stop there. They absolutely have a ton of trust in Io, and they absolutely have a ton of trust in Bones. I stopped because I'm not sure that they truly have a ton of trust in TJ at this point. We want those guys to have the ball in their hands when they're in there too. So we don't feel like we have to stagger when we can if we want, but my gut tells me to play them mostly together. All right, so this is head coach Chris Finch primarily talking about Anthony Edwards and LaMelo Ball and how some of the other players will ultimately come into the fold for this Timberwolves team in the upcoming season. Love to get your thoughts, your opinions on all of that. How do you think Pullen is ultimately going to fit into this Timberwolves team in the upcoming year. Do you think we're going to see Pullen a significant amount? Or is Pullen, as I asked at the beginning, ultimately going to spend a significant amount of time with the Iowa Wolves? All right, just two sleeps away from the start of the NBA season. As you can tell, I'm totally excited. Please go ahead and drop your comments in. New to the Timberwolves Digest, please go ahead and subscribe. And as always, for the Timberwolves Digest, I'm Dave DuBois wishing you all a tremendous rest of your sports viewing day.
