The Houston Texans just caught a massive break
as a star from the Jacksonville Jaguars is
officially listed to miss this Sunday's game.
How did the Texans approach this game now knowing this
and what can this mean for a team that needs a huge win?
What's up ladies and gentlemen welcome
back to Texans Digest. I'm your host as always Isaac Estrada.
Man we got a lot we need to talk
about today. A star from the Jacksonville Jaguars
is officially listed as out along with a few
players from the Houston Texans man
so we're going to dive into all that and more today on Texans
digest but man very important announcement very
important right before we dive into that man about
ninety percent of you guys still not subscribed
so do your boy a favor hit that subscribe button we're literally
from the time i'm recording
this we're roughly about 10 subscribers away from 3,000 people
joining this channel so it would be greatly appreciated
if you were to do so but regardless
i thank you guys for watching man we got
a lot we need to talk about today though so a star is
officially out for the for the jacksonville
jaguars we're going to dive into all that and
more and how this affects the Houston Texans this Sunday
so let's dive right into it man so
Jacksonville Jaguars left tackle Anton Harrison
is out versus the Texans Walker Little steps up
to replace him so let's dive into the report we got from X
so this is from Jacob Barzila
Jaguar star left tackle Anton Harrison will officially miss
this week versus the Texans
if you guys have been keeping up you guys have
been knowing for a while that this was coming
he had gotten hurt recently and I think he's
also going after they're going to pursue surgery for
him they're looking at surgery for Anton Harrison
and look who's going to step up Walker Little
will replace Harrison
who allowed 14 pressures in two games versus the Texans last season
Texans could also be without key pieces such as Jalen Pryte
and David Montgomery so we had heard
about this before Jalen having
that shoulder injury thankfully I don't think he's going to
need surgery they had talked about it before
thankfully Jalen is not going to need surgery
so that should be okay he's considered week to week
and David Montgomery in that last game against
the Tennessee Titans pretty much everything went right
for us the one thing that went wrong we lost
David Montgomery he's suffering with a groin injury
and I think he's considered also day-to-day
or maybe week to week either way I wouldn't expect either
of them to play this Sunday but
that's some big news man not having Anton Harrison first thing I want
to say obviously you hate to
see a player go down in any capacity I'm not going to sit here
and say hey thank gosh he's not going
to play. No, no. You would hate to see a player go down
in any capacity, but Anton Harrison not
playing, there's a lot that means for the Houston Texans.
There is a lot that means for the Houston
Texans, something I want to talk about very quickly.
Anton Harrison officially listed out
on PFF. You can see it right here.
Overall grade of 68.8, pass block 67, run block 70. He's been
a part of the Jacksonville Jaguars since 2023,
obviously starting to get to that point where
he's a well-experienced player.
What I really want to dive deep into is what does this mean
for this Houston Texans defense that's already
on a roll this Houston Texans defense did not miss a
beat last week this man on your screen right here
Will Anderson Jr. clocked in three sacks alone
by himself last week against the Tennessee Titans
was absolutely terrorizing that offensive line
defense all around played phenomenally was able
to pick off Cam Ward one time just a great game
defensively 26-3 beating on the Tennessee Titans
and it's the last time I'll say it but heading
into that game I had said I said hey you're gonna play
the Tennessee Titans go put a whooping on
that team you can't skate out of here with the win
if you want to if you want to prove that
you're still a playoff contender you got to put
a whooping on this team first time we've seen the
the Houston Texans look like a complete football team
this season where we didn't have to question
any aspects offense was rolling defense was rolling
and it led to a great win but that
defense man was killer Tennessee wasn't able
to do anything offensively because that defense was
just pouncing from start to finish led to a great win
this defense I had said it I said I don't care
if it's against the 2017 Cleveland Browns they need
a win to get rolling to get to know that
they can get that juice in their veins D'Amico
Ryans had talked about it after the win this
Sunday he said hey how does it feel
to eat how does it feel to finally get on the board with
the win how does it feel to finally do it I think
that's exactly what the Houston Texans needed more
than anything it doesn't matter
who the win was against makes a little bit sweeter that it was
against a division rival but either way man either
way Houston Texans were able to eat and that's
what they needed. I think this defense is going
to absolutely exploit this Jacksonville Jaguars
offense when it comes to the offensive line.
You're down a man offensively, and I get it.
This defense has had its low moments against great offenses.
Trevor Lawrence can be a great
quarterback. I still think that this defense can exploit him 100%.
I think this defense can be
great, and you got guys like Will Anderson
Jr. and Danielle Hunter flying around. I'm going to say
something, and apparently people were telling me I
was dumb for thinking this. I think Kamari
Lassiter played very well in the last game I think
guys like Reed Blankenship are finally starting to
maybe not be so horrendously awful
and starting to look a little bit better Derek Stingley obviously
people like to beat up on him for that game he had against Dallas
a lot of those plays that CeeDee
Lamb was able to grab a lot of those catches
that he was able to grab the blame was put on Derek
Stingley I still think Derek Stingley
is great CeeDee Lamb is just one of those guys that he's
going to cross anybody up it doesn't matter
so but either way it was a great win for the team
this past Sunday. And I think this defense
is going to exploit that Jacksonville Jaguars
offensive line. Something I want to ask you guys very quickly.
How many sacks are you calling for
the Texans this Sunday? I'm going to say
A slash B. I think three is on the money. I wouldn't be
surprised if they got four.
If they were able to do that to the Tennessee Titans, and I get it,
Tennessee Titans are bad. They're 0-5.
They're one of the worst teams in the NFL. I get that.
But now that we know that Anton's not going to play,
now that we know that Anton Harrison is out,
now that we know that this defense
can really eat, can really get going,
I don't care what anybody says Will Anderson
Jr. is the defensive player of the year if he keeps
going like this he is the defensive player
of the year currently right now so I'm going to say that
they're going to get at least three sacks I don't
think there's any way that they get one or two
sacks I think they're going to feast on the ground against the run game
and I think against the pass
rush as well Jacksonville Jaguars offense is going to struggle
so I'm going to probably say three or
four I don't think Will Anderson Jr. is going
to get them all alone but either way I still think
it's going to be a great game for the Texans.
I think six or more is a little crazy. If anybody
types C, you're a diehard man because I'm not typing C myself,
but I want to know what you
guys think. Something I will say, I've been harping on it a lot.
I'm going to harp on it again.
These Houston Texans need a win badly, man.
These Houston Texans, we need a win badly. We get it.
We got the win. We got the juice in our veins.
Week five, we finally got a win on the board.
You got to start stacking those wins.
You're still a one in four team. You just traded for
Marvin Harrison Jr., so obviously people
are looking forward to that. I think the pass game
is going to be a lot more deadly with Marvin on the field.
Apparently, it's a hot take to say that
I'm glad we traded for Marvin Harrison Jr. for a guy
who's still on his rookie contract and was
considered by many a generational talent headed into this league.
Apparently, that's a wild take
to say I'm so glad he's on this team,
but him and CJ are already practicing. I think the pass game
is going to be deadly. It's obvious that Woody Marks
is going to get the starting snaps this
week. I had said it before. I said, hey,
Woody Marks needs to be getting the starting snaps
either way, even if David Montgomery was healthy.
Woody Marks is the true RB1 on this team for the
rest of the season. So I think the run game
is going to be slightly a little bit better.
I think the pass game is going to be delightful in this game.
We got to attack pass-wise. Obviously,
I still think Woody Marks is okay. He's solid.
Pass game has got to be what we capitalize on.
You trade for Marvin Harrison Jr. You have Nico Collins
on the team. The 21-day window has
officially opened up for Tank Dell last week.
You still have guys moving around like Dalton Schultz.
Marlon Klein, second round tight end
that we drafted. I'm not sure why he's not getting
involved. Get him involved more.
Get him on these heavy packages more. We got to do more heavy
packages in my opinion as well.
But the Houston Texans have to win this game, man. You finally
got to win. You finally made the big trade.
Go do something about it. Defense, go do something
about it. Offense, prove that you can still move
when it's not just the Tennessee Titans you're
playing. Prove that you can still move even when the defense,
maybe they slow down a little bit,
which I don't think this defense will.
But prove that you can still be a good team. I think those
are going to be the keys to what helps the Houston Texans win
this Sunday. I'm going to say it, man.
I'm going to say it.
I still think the Houston Texans, a little bit of a malfunction right
there, but I still think the Houston Texans can make the playoffs.
I still think that this is a
playoff caliber football team. And I know people
are going to beat me up and say, hey, this defense
isn't what it was before. This defense has been struggling.
We have Dan Orlovsky and guys, a part
of ESPN and all these things saying, hey,
this Houston Texans defense is predictable. Don't care.
I think this Houston Texans defense is still great.
I think this Houston Texans defense can
still ball. And they've shown that.
People want to clown on me for saying it against Cincinnati.
I think they played well against Cincinnati.
You get to a point where your offense does
so little that your defense is like, man,
what is it going to take for us to finally,
we keep giving our offenses layups and they're
not doing anything.
We're holding the Cincinnati Bengals offense
to seven points in the first half.
When is the defense, when is the offense
of our own going to finally get going?
I think things like that really matter compared
to at the end of the day, seeing all the statistics
about how the Houston Texans defense isn't as good as it used to be.
I think a lot more goes into it.
And I think this defense is going to feast.
Obviously you hate to see any player being injured,
but it does help the Houston Texans
a little bit knowing that the starting a starting player
for the Jacksonville Jaguars is officially
out because he's out man he's not going to play tackle
is not going to play and I think the Houston
Texans are going to feast against Trevor Lawrence
are going to feast against this run game man
Caden McDonald also coming back that's something we got
to look forward to man so it's looking up
for the Houston Texans but are they going to be able
to capitalize off of we got a game in London
this Sunday 8 30 in the morning I don't know
who's waking up for it but it's not me I'm not waking up
that early I'm a full-time college student
that's one of my only days I get to sleep in so
unfortunately I might miss a quarter
or so but either way we're going to talk about that game
fully throughout this week we're going
to dive deep we're going to dive deep into it but thank
you guys so much for watching today
on Texans Digest let me know if you guys think that this
is a win because I think Houston Texans odds go up just
a little bit following this thank you guys
so much for watching today on Texans Digest have
a great day have a blessed day I'll see you guys
tomorrow
