The Houston Texans Are About To Look VERY Different...
Oct 17, 2026
The Houston Texans are about to look very different
as following a huge trade made
last week as well as some new injury updates,
the Houston Texans squad is looking very different
headed into this Sunday.
How does this affect the team and what can we expect from a big matchup
this Sunday? What's up ladies and gentlemen,
Welcome back to Texans Digest. I'm your host
as always Isaac Estrada. Man,
we got a lot we need to talk about today. I want to talk about
what we should expect from Marvin Harrison Jr. come
this Sunday as well as some new injury updates
we have. Some players are officially listed
as out for this Sunday. Man, we're going to dive
into all that and more today on Texans Digest.
But man, very quickly, I want to say thank you.
Yesterday, my goal was to hit 3,000 subscribers on this channel.
We did just that and then a
little bit more. I think right now we're already piling towards 3,050.
So I do appreciate you guys
for subscribing, for all the support you guys shown
on this channel. This channel would not
be what it is today without you guys.
So I do appreciate that so much. But man, let's dive
right into it because we got a lot we need to talk about.
Let's start off with Marvin Harrison
Jr. He is set to make his debut this Sunday against
the Jacksonville Jaguars. He had his
second practice. Man, what an opportunity and what a crazy time.
Can you imagine getting shipped off
from Arizona to Texas? You're getting back
with your former teammate and then they're like, hey,
we're going to London this Sunday.
Your first game with us is going to be internationally.
What a crazy start for Marvin Harrison Jr. But hey man,
we got this news from Aaron Wilson,
which is a little bit disappointing,
but we're going to break it down. Texans wide receiver
Marvin Harrison Jr. Second practice with the team.
Plan versus the Jaguars is to play him,
be involved. Not a full workload yet, though,
after the trade with the Cardinals. Why is my
only question? Like, I get it. Like, it's his first game.
He's had a whole change of scenery
in the past week. He's not only playing his first game
with a different team, he's playing his first
game in a different country. He's playing in the UK.
They're playing at Wembley Stadium, which I've
been to before beautiful stadium
but it's like at the end of the day I think like hey he knew he was
gonna get traded maybe even for some time you can make
the argument even for when he was still
actively playing for the Cardinals he knew he
was gonna get traded not just before we got those
rumors last weekend not only that he knew it
was probably gonna be Houston he's been working all
week we keep seeing all these things about him
and CJ Stroud having a great connection about him
running amazing routes at practice about him doing phenomenally I
was really like dude we're gonna
it 100% Marvin Harrison Jr. This is going to be great.
I don't think so. Not so far. Aaron Wilson,
pretty accurate with his reports.
He's at that practice field every single day for the Houston
Texans. He says that it's not going to be a full workload yet.
And that's a little bit disappointing
and we're going to talk about it why later
on because we got some new injury updates on that
receiver room. But not having Marvin Harrison Jr. 100%
for this game is kind of like, ugh,
because we desperately need that, man.
We need that against the Jacksonville Jaguars team that's
4-1, that their home away from home is London.
Let's talk about it, man.
They always have Jacksonville Jaguars playing in London.
They always have them playing in the UK.
They've already been there for over a week.
They were there last week.
Already got a win over the Philadelphia Eagles.
Feeling good.
You're staying in London.
And now you have the Houston Texans playing you as well,
division rivals.
They're going to be coming in with some heat, man.
So not having Marvin 100% is just kind of like,
it's just an eye roll for me.
But at the end of the day, let's make sure he's 100%.
I get it.
Maybe not throw him in on the deep end and have him sink.
I don't know.
I don't know what they're expecting.
But I want to know what you guys think.
Do you guys think that this is accurate?
How much should Marvin Harrison Jr. play in his debut?
I think it's a full workload.
Throw him in the deep end.
This is an experienced wide receiver.
This isn't any rookie.
This is a guy who knows CJ Stroud very well.
He's played with him before.
But let me know what you guys think.
Light snap count, full workload, or red zone package only?
I don't think it should be red zone package only.
I think it should be a full workload.
But let me know what you guys think below.
All right.
on to the next so the Texans rule out Tank Dell David Montgomery
and Jalen Petrie for the London
game versus the Jaguars this is what we had kind
of talked about before right this is what we had
kind of talked about before when I said hey the reason why I'm
so disappointed that Marvin Harrison
Jr. is not getting full snap counts I'll tell you why later on it's
because of this man we were
really hoping and by we I mean primarily me I really I genuinely
was like dude Tank Dell could
pull it off. He could play this weekend.
We know he's going to go to London. He's going to London
with the team. He's been practicing. He could do it.
Literally yesterday after I posted that video,
within two hours, they ruled Tank Dell out.
I found out because someone in the comment section
yesterday had said, dude, Tank Dell isn't playing.
What are you talking about? And I was like, what?
And then I looked it up. He's not going to be playing.
So that's disappointing. But obviously
not having Tank Dell on the field sucks.
I get it though. You want to make sure he's 100%.
You want to make sure he's fully healthy.
Tank Dell is a bit of a lighter guy as well.
So you want to make sure he's 100% healthy.
Jalen Pitre, we knew he was week to week.
I think at the end of the day with Jalen Pitre,
you're just happy that he's not going
to have season-ending surgery, right?
That he's not going to be put on IR.
The fact that Jalen Pitre is not going to be put on IR,
that he's not going to need that shoulder surgery
that would take him out for the rest of the season,
I think that alone is a win.
So not having him play, it's fine.
It's all right.
And David Montgomery, we knew that groin injury was week to week.
I think it was kind of a long shot for him to play.
I don't think it's a bad thing that he's not playing.
I love the fact that Woody Marks is going
to get the starting snaps on this team.
I think he deserves it.
He has earned it.
David Montgomery is a good player,
but lately, man, he has not been showing out.
And I think last week, he had that growing
injury, and obviously you hate to see it,
but as soon as Woody Marks got those
starting snaps, he started balling, man.
He started playing very well.
Best game of his of the season so far.
Obviously, 62 yards is nothing to throw your hat out about
and be like, run game is back.
But you know, it's still, I think it was a great
performance by Woody Marks, and I think
that he's going to have another opportunity to shine.
I'm not saying this just because I picked him up on my fantasy team.
I'm saying this because I genuinely wish the best for him.
I think he's our best option right now at running back position.
So, obviously you hate to see those out.
And last thing I will say, when it comes to Tank Dell missing, man,
when it comes to Tank Dell not being able to play this Sunday,
my initial reaction was, okay, if Tank Dell is not playing,
if we know 100% that Tank Dell isn't going to be there,
why in the world is Marvin Harrison
Jr. going to get limited snaps then?
In my opinion, in my honest opinion, as a sports broadcaster,
I've been doing this for quite some time now,
whether it's play-by-play calling or whatever
else I've been doing in the sports world,
if you're gonna know that a guy's not gonna
be 100% if you know like hey this guy's not gonna
play one of our starters is not gonna play
which we've known for quite some time it's not like all
of a sudden Tank Dell is injured all of a sudden we've known
this he didn't play at all last season
but if Tank Dell's gonna be injured
and Marvin Harrison Jr. you make the trade for him give him
full snaps man in my opinion you give Marvin
Harrison full snaps throw him in the deep end
you know he's a veteran or not a veteran wide receiver
but in terms of you know he's a good
wide receiver you obviously have faith
in the guy you're willing to pair him with CJ Stroud
it's gonna really stink if we go out there
and we see Marvin Harrison Jr. play 20 snaps man that's
gonna stink and I see a light workload for him
and I'm like why man this is Marvin Harrison Jr.
we're talking about this is a guy that you can throw
in the deep end and be all right man we
saw him in his rookie year
with the Arizona Cardinals immediately took the role immediately
almost as a starting wide receiver number one
on that team we saw it immediately so I see that and
I'm like why why not just throw him
in the deep end you know Tank Dell isn't gonna play another
week. Keishawn Booty has been okay, but he hasn't been anything great.
He's not what we thought he
was. Nico Collins, he's going to get that workload.
We all know it. Take some of that pressure off
him. Give him Marvin Harrison Jr. alongside of him.
That's one of the things that's going through
my mind. Like, hey, if we know Tank Dell's not going to play,
give Marvin the heavy workload,
man. But I want to know what you guys think.
Let me know if I'm just yapping over here,
if I'm just LARPing, or if genuinely,
because I do think Marvin Harrison Jr. should be
getting a heavy workload. That's why we got him,
man. He had a whole week plus.
but last thing I want to talk about this injury report
so this is the official one obviously we
had just talked about Tank Dell, Jalen Petrie,
and David Montgomery being out man Henry too the
fact that he is not out yet I'm like what
in the world I don't think Henry Toto is going to play
this weekend but when I saw this injury report drop today I
was like why is Henry Toto still
listed as questionable that is a fighter man Henry too is a fighter
and I'm so glad we have
him on this team Jamarcus Ingram
also is questionable I think he was going to play
honestly he's been a full participant all week he's
not like Henry Toto where he's just coming
off of IR and we're calling it week
to week I think Jamarcus Ingram I think he will play but
last thing I want to talk about
this Houston Texans defense man they absolutely have to torch
that Jacksonville Jaguars offensive line we had
talked about it two days ago we talked about it
two days ago Anton Harrison is out that offensive line
for the Jacksonville Jaguars is a little bit
shaky right now we have that our defense proved last week
that they can be great that they can
be phenomenal let's go see it man let's go see
the defensive player of the year who has 7.5
sacks on the season go ball out again that's what I want
to see this defense needs to stand tall man
Trevor Lawrence the Jacksonville Jaguars I'll
say it one more time this video because I know
you're tired of hearing me say it
the UK London Wembley Stadium for crying out loud that is
Jacksonville Jaguars home away from home Roger Goodell
is always sending that team overseas to
play in London we know that they
are comfortable playing there they've been there plenty of times
I'm sure that that team already has their favorite coffee shops
and places to eat when they go down
there because they're there so much every year.
Because of that, man, this defense needs to step
up. I wish Marvin Harrison Jr. was getting starting snaps,
but obviously if he's not,
this defense needs to step up.
Anton Harrison, obviously you hate to see an injury of any
capacity, but he's not going to play.
So something's got to change, man. Defense has to step up.
Offensive line is shaky. Will Anderson Jr., 7.5 sacks on the year.
Obviously we still have guys
like Danielle Hunter flying around.
This defense has got to step up, man, and we need this win.
you go one in five on the season
and you lose to a team that I think this is a very winnable game
but the odds are stacked in Jacksonville's favor they've already
been in the UK for well over a
week because they played Philly last week there
that's their home away from home they're four
and one on the season obviously we're starting
to come on the come up obviously things are looking
slightly better but we're gonna need a big game this Sunday
but thank you guys so much for watching
today on Texans Digest let me know what you guys think
is gonna happen this Sunday because this is
gonna be a barn burner man this is gonna
be a heater this Sunday hope you guys have a great
day. Have a blessed day. Have a good day.
