The NFL Suspends 49ers Owner Jed York for Six Games and Fines him $500K
Oct 3, 2026
The NFL just suspended Jed York for six games and fined him a half a million dollars for
his indiscretion a few months ago.
He already missed three games, stayed away from the team, and that counts towards his
suspension so he's eligible comeback for the Week 7 game in Atlanta.
He just released a statement, didn't do a press conference or show his face, but he
released a statement apologizing and saying that, you know, what he did doesn't reflect
his values and the person he strives to be and he wants to do better and he's going to
take the work seriously and all of that.
So, you know, sounds great.
All I would say to Jed is that when the suspension is up in a few weeks and he's eligible to
return to the team, don't.
Stay in Ohio.
You're doing great in Ohio.
The Niners are doing great without you.
It's not about you.
Kyle Shanahan's holding it down.
Al Guido doing a great job.
You keep holding it down in Ohio.
I think your contributions from out of state far outweigh what you could do on site because
when you come back, even if you don't mean to, you make it all about you and your story
and what you did and your redemption arc.
It's like exactly what is happening with the Browns right now and their quarterback.
They're a really good team.
Great story for Todd Munkin, but it's all about Deshaun and he plays for them.
You don't even play for the 49ers.
There's absolutely no positive impact.
There's no third down you can convert.
There's no touchdown you can score.
You can just be there and make it about yourself when the Niners are currently undefeated.
So please, do the right thing.
Be a good teammate and stay in Youngstown.
