Giants vs Texans Week 7 Preview | 1037
Oct 24, 2026
Video Summary
AI GeneratedThe New York Giants prepare to face the Houston Texans as underdogs, marking the start of the J.J. McCarthy era at quarterback. The discussion centers on the Giants' need to eliminate mistakes, the tactical advantages of McCarthy's mobility, and the challenge of facing Houston's elite pass rush and the efficient play of C.J. Stroud.
Hello and welcome back to Talkin' Giants,
presented by the Fanatics Sports and Casino.
It is October 23rd, 2026, and the 3-2-1 New York football Giants
are taking on the 2-4 Houston Texans.
And what I would consider this to be the only second good team
the Giants have played so far this year,
and they are 10.5 point underdogs.
And the J.J. McCarthy era is now beginning this Sunday.
Did you know J.J. McCarthy undefeated in the state of Texas
as an NFL QB and he is 1-0 all time against C.J. Stroud.
So guess what the mission is?
By any means necessary, go 1-0 before the bye week.
And oh boy, do they need this bye week.
But we got one more game until that happens.
Sean, how are you doing, brother?
I'm doing well, Justin. Certainly an interesting week
for the Giants as we've recapped throughout the week.
And I guess I'm ready to go.
I'm ready for whatever fate awaits the Giants Sunday.
It is funny that you said this is only the second good team they faced.
They did lose to the Dallas Cowboys,
who we're not considering a good team,
but this is a different team with Nico Collins.
Who lost to the Dallas?
Oh, the Texans lost to the Dallas Cowboys.
Yeah, I'm just saying, for you to come out of there like that
in our little cold open and say,
well, now we're going to discount the Cowboy loss?
Well, they beat this Texan team, so we'll see.
Yeah, man, they have their warts, but I still do consider,
I mean, this is a team with preseason expectations
that to go after and win the Super Bowl
and go after and win the AFC.
It is a team also last year that started off slow too
and then caught fire.
They started off slow this year.
They've put DeMeco Ryans back as defense coordinator.
Okay, they beat the lowly Titans two weeks ago,
but they have a really good London win
against the Jaguars last week.
Even though we're going to talk about this defense
and how good this defense is,
they've allowed a lot of points.
They've allowed a lot of yards,
and they even did that last week against the Jags,
even with DeMeco Ryans kind of at the helm here.
In fact, I would say this.
It's the third time, I think, that we've arrived
at a point this season already
where the Giants are actually catching
a team just by luck on the worst time.
This would have been cool to catch the Texans
in Week 3 when they were struggling.
The Rams coming off that opening night loss,
you knew they'd be hungry in their home opener.
And, of course, for the Giants, what's the other game I'm thinking of?
Oh, Washington, because Jaden Daniels happened to return that one week.
So it's funny how this is shaped up for the Giants,
and you just can't really tell when a schedule comes out
what week's going to be the worst weeks to see a team.
But maybe the Texans are feeling themselves a little too much
coming off back-to-back wins.
And Pat Leonard put out a tweet
that the Giants are 10.5-point underdogs.
Only other one NFL team is an underdog of even five points or more,
and that's the Colts, who are 6.5-point
dogs against the Minnesota Vikings.
I know you're the gambling guy.
What do you kind of take away from that?
Are the Giants too disrespected, Sean?
Well, first of all, I hate this talk
because it reeks of a lot of people
not understanding gambling.
This is where the betting public is going.
The number would shift to single digits if a lot
of people were believing in the Giants.
And I do think they're trying to hope, the books are,
that you take the Giants here with the points.
It tells you they think the Texans are primed to kind of explode here.
Giants looking ahead to the bye week.
It is perfectly ironic, though, that Pat Leonard is the one
they pointed to point out how big an underdog the Giants were.
I mean, man, does he smell any sense of negativity he jumps all over.
But look, I mean, the Giants deservedly so, right?
We said they were disrespected
the last two weeks, and they lost and tied.
So how could I keep pounding the table at them being disrespected
when this has been a notion for three straight weeks
and they haven't won a game yet?
So let's figure this out.
Yeah, I would say more than anything,
before we get to Giants offense versus Texans defense
and then talking about J.J. McCarthy, Matt Nagy had some quotes
on McCarthy's progress today.
I would say now, this week more than previous weeks
because of how they've played the last two weeks.
If they're going to lose this game by three touchdowns,
if they're going to get blown out,
I don't want them getting blown out by us coming on here being like,
man, this is the third week in a row where they have sloppy mistakes
and they're shooting themselves in the foot.
And we've talked about that enough.
I want to turn the page on that part of the Giants season, Sean.
So regardless of what the outcome is this weekend,
I'd rather come on here and just be like,
the Houston Texans are just better.
They're better offensively.
They're better defensively than rather the same old damn week of,
well, the Giants could have had this game if they didn't do X, Y, Z
that shot themselves in the foot.
No, if the Texans cover the spread,
you want it to be because the Giants
were simply outmanned and maybe had a costly J.J. McCarthy turnover
where the Texans defense just made a great play or something like that.
It can't be because you've taken 15 penalties for 160 yards.
No.
Can't happen.
No.
Or just have these moments on special
teams, have these moments on defenses,
lapses, missed tackles, and we'll talk about that.
All right, so let's get to the Giants offense versus Houston defense.
So Matt Nagy said that J.J. McCarthy's skill set
is very similar to Jackson Dart
and it brings back a decent percentage of the playbook.
Matt Nagy also said that J.J. McCarthy's biggest steps forward
happened last week in practice.
He went from 50% of the call sheet to 90%.
So what's your expectations for J.J. McCarthy on Sunday, Sean?
What type of offense are we going to see?
Well, this isn't a great answer for talking Giants literally,
but I think if you know,
you don't know what the hell you're talking about.
I don't think we can, though, because I think we expect more, you know,
mobility in terms of an RPO-style
offense where maybe there's some pull,
you know, whatever, fake handoff pull stuff, you know, that'll happen.
Read option stuff there with J.J. McCarthy.
Yeah, I just overcomplicated just saying the three letters RPO.
Forgive me, whatever.
That's exactly what just happened there.
I expect some of that,
but then also aren't the Texans expecting plenty of that
as well because that's the one thing that you can bank
on here is that Houston may not have
basically any tape on what the Giants offense
with the J.J. McCarthy look I'm sure they'll
watch week one versus Dallas Jackson Dart whatever yada yada yada
but I'm sure the Texans are gearing
up for that so are we just expecting all
of a sudden J.J. McCarthy to rush for 50 yards and
the giant run game to be turned on and something
I don't know about any of that but I do know this
Justin they are going to have to find a way even
with that to get back to finding the four yard
carries the five yard carries um and maybe even
if it's less jj mccarthy doing that and it's more
hey we're going to keep them thinking that we're going
to run JJ McCarthy but it does open up more
lanes for a Scadaboo and a Tyrone Tracy they simply have to Justin
because if you are allowing
this pass rush to sit back in third
and nine every single drive JJ McCarthy as much as he
might be able to escape the pocket
and extend plays he's not going to be able to do that every
single third down you get to uh
and ultimately it's just going to lead to disaster plays and
turnover so I don't fully know what to expect
but I know whatever I am expecting the Texans that's
the one thing they will expect as well
so I need to see how the Giants play off this year yeah I do
think the biggest advantage the Giants have right now
with McCarthy is the slight element of surprise
and the unknown I agree I agree you know because
because now what you have to do if you're the
Texans you now kind of have to go back to the week one film
and what they were doing with Jackson
dart instead of just looking at you know
the final 11 minutes of the fourth quarter and then
obviously what they were doing with Jameis Winston
that obviously is still going to be a part of
their offense but now you have these coaches
that are like self-admitting admittingly being like
we could not use a good part of our playbook
because we had a quarterback that could not
move and there was no threat of his legs i mean even
the the QB scramble and calling plays that
creates natural space for a quarterback to tuck it
and run which what is a QB scramble Sean what
do i like to say on this show
do you know me well enough yet i don't what is a QB scramble
it's a broken play by the offensive line it's
the most efficient play in football all right see i
don't remember you saying any
of this Justin i feel like what i had for uh lunch and i had lunch
an hour ago and you called yourself a talk
of Giants fan before you uh came in this show i got
too close to the situation now
so too close to the situation i'm doing you out like my wife
I used to, that's so true, that is so true, I don't blame you
if you do, so yeah, I mean there's, there's
going to be a part of this playbook that has now opened up
with JJ McCarthy there, so if there is an
advantage that the Giants have a slot
and I'm calling it a slight advantage, it's not like a
big advantage, like you know the Giants had week one going against
the Cowboys where nobody knew
what the hell to expect, we have a slight advantage
of the, there's a little bit of an element of
surprise, well, and I'll just to follow up
on that something's really only coming to me as you
speak on this would be week one
also we didn't really have fully healthy Malik Neighbors like
we saw the last three weeks
so this will be the first time in theory that the Giants have a
quarterback that can do some of the stuff you did in week one
while also having healthy Malik
Neighbors that could explode for 100 yards
receiving, so this actually might be the first
game you have that opportunity, yeah for sure
and as we talk about the quarterback and what to expect
and how the QB may surprise us, Mohegan Sun, they sponsor
our quarterback segments every single
Sunday and every single game day, this episode
is brought to you by Mohegan Sun, there's a lot
of things you can think about when you think
of Mohegan Sun, you want to know what I think about
though, and I'm not ashamed to admit it, I think about
the food, Sean, I know you think about it too
breakfast, lunch, dinner, you go to Mohegan, you stay
in a beautiful room, you wake up and you basically
eat in intervals all freaking day long at some
of the best restaurants in the world sitting right
there in Connecticut, they got a ton of range, there's
so many restaurants that you'll basically
just need to stay a week to scratch the surface
of everything that they got, they're fielding a
full team and there's no pun intended there, uh
there's something there for everybody, so head
down, eat up and get ready to enjoy Mohegan Sun beyond your wildest
and again, why should you
support Mohegan Sun because they love us, they're investing
in us, they're all in on us, they're all
in on the quarterbacks and the quarterbacks
surprise us every single week, so let Mohegan
Sun kind of surprise you by how well they can take care
of you, all right Sean, let's talk about
this Texans defense and this pass rush that they have
so oh man, this Texans pass rush is obviously
the biggest story for the, for like
this offense, you know, Giants going up against a specific unit
they have the ninth highest sack rate and their 11th
in pressure rate, Will Anderson Jr. leads
the NFL in sacks, seven and a half, he leads the NFL
in tackles for loss with 10, uh, he's third
in the league in quarterback hits, Danielle Hunter
is on the opposite side, he has thrown only three
sacks on the year, uh, but he's tied for seventh
and total pressures on the year out of all edge
rushers uh one of the best edge rusher duos in the league uh
and they are going to test a very
beat up giants tackle group regardless of who's out there
but we did get a good update on thursday
that all three of Alminora Marcus Bow
and andrew thomas they did practice now i will even say sean
even though thomas is practicing it's first time
that i feel like he's practiced in a couple weeks
oh it's first time he's practiced
on a thursday he keeps waiting until friday to go out there so
That's actually a big deal.
I hate that we are approaching a point in the season, though,
where AT is so beat up that we do now have to game plan
against elite pass rushers.
Basically, when you have Alminora and Andrew Thomas
going at their best, I mean, I could simply just have
the confidence and say, run your offense.
I don't think at this point in the 2026 season
with how beat up everyone is, you can't do that.
I think you do have to plan into this weekend
on getting rid of the ball a little bit quicker.
I also think an enormous add and a guy who's practiced full
for two straight days Theo Johnson into this game plan because they
missed him last week and his ability in line tight end just in terms
of like he could help with the blocking obviously but the idea
of feeding off of those blocks you know kind of leaking off
and doing some of the stuff that Theo Johnson does they need
that two-way tight end versus his pass rush
and I would expect Theo Johnson you know Theo Johnson could be looking
at a four catch type of game just by the realm of the volume he needs
to be out there and the types of you know plays they'll need to run
with J.J. McCarthy.
He was limited on Wednesday,
but Dan Duggan did say
it didn't seem like Theo Johnson
was doing much.
That was just during
the media viewing period.
Yeah.
I get the vibe he's playing.
Haven't you, Justin,
through seven weeks
started to learn
the John Harbaugh limited,
did not practice like team?
I feel like I'm finally
getting a grasp of it.
It feels like Theo Johnson,
based on this, is going to play.
But I guess we could be surprised.
Yeah, we will see.
We will see.
But I do agree with you that that would be a huge, huge add
just to have another option where the Texans have to accommodate
for somebody else in this passing offense, for sure.
And chipping along the way.
Yeah, absolutely.
And that will be huge, too.
Chips and having a threat of Theo Johnson,
where if he's out in the field,
you're not sure if it's a run or a pass.
And then even if it's a pass play, if you're chipping somebody
and you're giving help to tackles like we're talking about,
that will be huge, too.
It's a great point by you.
by you, Will Anderson, I want to continue
to kind of talk about him, he's going to be a guy
that's going to line up everywhere, he's going to line up inside
and outside, so everybody it's not
just the tackles, everybody needs to be ready
um and if a decision does come down to to double
Anderson, everyone else is going to need to hold up
their end of the bargain and the Texans have
multiple good pass rushers like we talked about
however I will say I don't know if you've seen
this chart going around, Sean, every single week
that really hasn't been the Giants' motto to double
like anybody, no, there's there's an island rate chart
that floats around X, Twitter, I can't
believe I just called it that, I'm such
a loser uh floats around twitter every single week what
is number one Aruba number two is Saint Thomas what what
are we looking at uh no Cancun's not
an island again dipshit come on i'm trying to make you cultured
and roll you should be able
here to do a podcast where you joke for 10 seconds
and you go back on track you ruin it
it i there are times where you're really funny
and i won't realize that you say a really good
joke because i'm so locked in on i know you're unbelievable where
and then people will comment
that was a really funny thing by Sean
and then they'll leave a time stamp i'll go back and
listen to it i'm like yeah i
and i it goes in through one ear out through the other you're
you're ridiculous crazy oh we'll go
on you've ruined it anyway so go back to your island rate
i'm becoming like my former co-host there
is an island rate chart that floats around every week
and every Giants offensive lineman
is somehow always on like the far right
of that island rate chart.
Like every five, like all four or five of them
are always having one-on-ones.
Like none of them like ever work together.
So we'll see if that trend changes this week
because, you know, they didn't have the chance
to go up against Myles Garrett week two.
I will say Will Anderson Jr.
probably is the best single pass rusher
that they have faced.
I mean, you can make an argument
that Will Anderson Jr. is the best pass rusher in the NFL right now.
Yeah, that's right.
They missed Myles Garrett in Week 2, so that absolutely checks.
That's a scary thought considering how
Andrew Thomas has looked on this hurt leg.
Yeah, so they're going to need help.
They're going to need help out of their tight ends.
I would even like to see if there are some plays,
if only two or three guys are running routes down the field,
you're going to have Chris Manhertz in there,
and he's just going to be an extra blocker.
I wouldn't mind that as well.
Here's a thought.
If you know you're going to get a beat like this anyway,
You saw some of it last week.
Tyrone Tracy in the screen game, maybe.
I want to bring that up.
I want to, and I'll even bring it up right now.
Sorry if I'm jumping ahead.
I know we have a lot to talk about.
There are some notes that I want to put on the Texans blitz rate
and the coverage types that they do run.
But, Sean, I want to bring up that point that you just said about,
can we please, can we please throw the ball to our running backs?
like i you're knowing that you're playing a defense
that's good at getting after the quarterback
and and and on top that you're
so bad at running the ball please get the ball to our running backs
in the receiving game please mention
of the run game yes yes i love me some mesh traffic
mesh traffic i i have been saving your you know
your instagram uh algorithm it feeds you stuff
that you're interested in and i think i there
was one there was one thing this week that i like
saved i saved it was like and it was like a a foot like
a call sheet this guy like breaking down like
certain calls and stuff um so then ever ever since
then i've been just getting plays plays plays
plays and concepts and i'm like i want to learn some
of this stuff i want to be a little bit
better at it and mesh traffic i
and i've been talking we've been talking about mesh traffic
for years where they ran it with a Devito
a lot Dabble ran it a good amount it got Saquon Barkley
some receiving touchdowns like i remember against Washington
a couple years ago in Washington James
Cook they run it all the time with Joe Brady same thing with Shanahan
and McCaffrey um i don't think
you need like those dynamic running backs
to necessarily call mesh traffic but if the Texans
are going to be playing man coverage
which they do they mix man and zone a good amount and we'll
talk about it but this is a game where if you're afraid
of the pass rush and you want to give your
quarterback some easy answers
and you you're going to desperately need to get your running
backs out in space and i think it would even
be good from a confidence standpoint for some of
these running backs to just all right i'm going
to give you an opportunity to get a ball in space
and go for it can you make somebody miss can you
get yards after contact can you break a tackle
get something going then that's momentum
for that running back right i desperately want to see them
get the ball as long as it doesn't become too too predictable Sean
and the Texans may be selling out
on that because there's no respect for the if if that is still
a narrative right there's no respect
for McCarthy's arm they don't think he can throw it deep uh they're
not calling deep concepts and
if they're just selling out on these short concepts
and these quick stuff then don't do it
but if they at least respect it
and if they're bringing pressure then you gotta have that that
quick outlet you gotta Justin I I go back
to a game last year how well does Justin know his
co-host Sean Morash here oh do you remember
a a game in which the Giants faced a pass rush like
this on the road with a mobile quarterback on the road
with the mobile quarterback last year is this
That they were heavy underdogs in?
Heavy underdogs.
What part of the year?
Well, the part where we had a mobile quarterback.
Oh, where we had a mobile quarterback.
Yes, us, us, us, because we're bringing that back with McCarthy.
Last year, they went on the road as big-time underdogs
versus a big-time defense that had
a similar pass rush to the Houston Texans,
and it's going to lead me into my point.
Now, Justin doesn't get it, so we're one for one.
The Denver Bronco game last year.
Oh, yeah.
Remember when the Giants were doing well in the Denver Bronco game?
Cam Scadaboo catching screen passes.
I know this is the Brian Dable offense,
a little different than what they're running here,
but it completely changed the complexion of the game.
He had that touchdown run off of the short catch.
The Giants did a really good job in kind
of keeping that Bronco pass rush at bay
by throwing it to their back, specifically Cam Scadaboo in that game,
so much so that it later led to, I think it ended up being a 30-yard
or whatever it was, touchdown run by Tyrone Tracy.
because they were all on their heels, the Bronco defense.
But early and often in that game,
the Giants attacked with the short pass game with their running backs,
and it changed the complexion.
And that is where you looked up in the fourth quarter.
I know it ended badly, and I know it was a collapse,
but how they built that lead in a game a lot of people thought
they were going to get their ass kicked in was exactly that, Justin.
So not only hitting these short passes to the running backs,
hitting them early and keeping this entire thing at bay
for Houston going into the locker room at halftime.
yeah now how you do this is i think could be challenging
because when you face a team like
the broncos and they're blitzing
then i think that opens up the screen game the texans on the
season do have the fifth lowest blitz rate in the league uh
and that trend has continued even
though DeMeco Ryans has taken over play calling again yeah they kind
of identified that it was
really a communication thing
and they wanted to provide a spark to that defense then that's kind
of why they made that change it wasn't necessarily a big philosophical
or identity change that the
Houston Texans defense has gone through over
the last two weeks um so that's where it's a little
bit of a difference but i still think like targeting
your running backs not like not in
the screen game of course you can call some screens
and to keep the defense honest but
giving your running backs an opportunity
to just run some routes out there out in the inner the
short part of the field that should still be an option
for this offense especially if the the big
defensive backs i know we're going to get to Lassiter
in a little bit or running with neighbors and
likely a little more down the field you're going
to have a lot of the shallow stuff open up there
to the backs now when they do send pressure they love
to send delayed rushers to and stack guys on
top of each other on the back end and i love
when teams do this yeah it's cool so if anything the
first blitzer serves as almost like a kamikaze guy
so the second guy can get a clean shot at the
quarterback but the advantage they have
as a defense is that they can rush four they can get
home and that only helps their back end sheldon rankins has
also shown up for them too on third
downs this season. Rankins leads all
defensive tackles with 12 pressures and is tied
with Justin Madubuike, Nnamdi Madubuike
for the highest pressure rate
20% out of
20 pass
rushers. They do a good job
of mixing in man and zone.
They have the 10th highest man coverage rate
and they are 20th in zone coverage rate
as well. It's hard to pin down exactly
what they'll be running, but at nearly 60%
of the snaps, they're running
with a single high safety, so it
means that we are going to see another defense
that runs mostly out of cover one or cover three.
Can't wait.
Can't wait to see that again.
Yeah, and Reed Blankenship has had his fair struggles this season.
He's allowed 278.
And we hate Reed.
We hate Reed.
He's allowed 278 receiving yards this season,
the second most among safeties.
So this, to me, Sean, you mentioned Theo Johnson.
Uh-huh, attacking him.
Also, Isaiah Likely, targeted down the field against him.
Please, if it's not on Blankenship's side,
If Isaiah Likely is not on Reed Blankenship's side,
then put him in motion.
Exploit these cover one,
cover three looks like you did on the Likely touchdown just last week.
That is a way that you can take what you did during
the final 11 minutes of last week and bring it to this week.
There's also a Malik Neighbors and Derek Stingley reunion as well.
Neighbors was a freshman in 2021
when Stingley was in his final year at LSU.
So I'm looking forward to that matchup as well.
But also, maybe put Neighbors in the slot a little too
and exploit if you have, I believe,
I believe, who's that really good slot court?
Is it Jalen Petrie?
Yeah, Jalen Petrie is hurt and is questionable kind of as well.
So they're banged up a little bit,
and they're also allowing a decent amount of yards in
that secondary this year.
Yeah, or you get some Malachi Fields big slot looks as well
and just kind of finally get
him going.
Finally.
I would like that.
I would like that.

Now back to the show.
Let's see.
What else?
We talked about throwing the ball to running backs.
Oh, let's talk about this rushing offense.
The Texans are 11th in EPA per rush so far this year.
There's only been one game where they've
given up over 100 rushing yards,
which was last week versus the Jaguars at 106 whopping yards.
They held the Bills to 86 yards.
They held the Colts to 89 yards.
They held the Cowboys to 75 yards.
Sean, is there any trust in this run game,
and how much will the threat of J.J. McCarthy's legs actually add?
All right, so the first question is obviously no.
Trust is earned, not given, right?
All right, Harbaugh.
Trust, yeah, exactly.
I've been speaking more Harbaugh now.
No, you can't have trust in the run game
because they haven't earned that right.
They haven't earned the right to win.
There we go. Thank you.
By the way, Black Friday is coming.
That being said, we'll be all over it.
that being said just in football is a funny game it's a funny game
and how much the threat will
JJ McCarthy's legs add now for all of you
who have been spiced up and and fed this like line
about the mobility which i know i've i've perpetrated
if you will with JJ McCarthy
he is not as good an athlete as Jackson Dart
is i don't think you're going to get the same
kind of runs but what he does do is provide
an enormous upgrade over what Jameis Winston was
And I just, I think not having a lot of tape,
this goes back to our first point about the element of surprise,
I think it will add a threat.
I think it will add a threat just from the standpoint of
Houston has to honor it.
They do.
And I do wonder if in a game like this,
you mentioned those teams like the Jaguars.
Okay.
The Bills.
Okay.
Even the Colts with Daniel Jones.
It's a Jonathan Taylor team.
Whatever.
The Cowboys are the only team in this run-up
that had the same kind of passing threats
that the Giants are going to provide in this game with Likely
and Neighbors.
Those are two absolute stud, Pro Bowl-type players.
And I wonder if a lot of what Houston's defensive game plan
is going to be poured into this week is going to be more about
slowing down those guys who are basically getting 50 targets a game.
And if this kind of leads Houston to go,
you know what, let the Giants try to beat us with the run.
And maybe just by sheer virtue of trying new things,
the Giants also, with J.J. McCarthy,
trying to get some kind of identity on the ground,
going to make themselves feel better
also try to keep Houston's defense off the field
it actually wouldn't shock me if the Giants get
to like 110 yards on the ground they become the
team that's rushed for them the most we feel good about it
but it's also sort of by design by Houston
who's just throwing all their resources at slowing down Nabers
and likely knowing that's the best
shot they have at winning the game does that make sense
so I kind of have the threat of J.J. McCarthy
is being added but i do wonder if almost houston sort
of lets us kind of play from in front and
have those moments while they focus on just kind
of killing us on third downs and not allowing
Nabers and likely to beat them over
the top yeah i don't know man they're they're they're
just really good that will yes okay another another short way
of speaking uh the long-formed
answer i just gave just a two
for two today they're just really good i don't know man um
If they simplify their rushing offense
and if they start running more man
concepts and duo things that we talked about during the midweek,
then maybe I'll start.
Or how about hold a ******* block, you know, for lack of a better term.
How about that, too?
I just don't think they have the weight,
they have the mass on this offensive line right now to,
if you're going to talk about holding blocks, but again,
I'm not this big run scheme expert, but.
Maui Noah can't get run over in this game, dude.
He's had two awful games in the run game as well.
You cannot, if the Giants are trying to establish anything,
just be run over, caught hold.
And for the love of God, no holding calls on runs either.
For the love of God.
If you're beat, stay beat.
Because then drives are over.
Exactly.
I would rather lose the three yards on a run
than lose the ten yards in the down.
So just do not take the dumb holding calls.
Yeah, for sure.
Yeah, I don't trust this run game to get going.
And it's maybe against a different opponent.
You're going to have the Eagles after the bye,
and you're going to have the commanders then,
and then you're playing some defenses that, you know,
maybe aren't playing at their best, especially the commanders.
We will see what the threat and the arm of J.J. McCarthy
is also a huge part of this run game, too.
Everybody just talks about his legs that will help the run game.
I think the threat of J.J.'s arm, that it's actually not dead,
like Jameis' was, and they actually will throw the ball down the field.
Just maybe taking some guys out of the box,
That, I think, will be a thing that opens up
the run game more than anything.
I just have to see it to believe it.
Especially early in the game,
if like we've seen this with Jameis the last couple weeks
where he's throwing behind Isaiah Likely or whatever.
Maybe just that quicker, we keep pointing
to that miles per hour stat this week.
I forgot who put it up, either way.
It was Doug Analytics, whatever.
That put up that stat about him throwing like eight miles
an hour faster in that fourth quarter than Jameis did.
Just finding Isaiah Likely on some of those early plays.
Maybe that keeps the Texans honest on third downs as well
because you've connected on a couple of those early in the game,
and that opens up more with the run.
Yes, 1,000, 1,000%.
All right, are you ready to move to our Talk Giants parlay of the week?
Hell yeah.
Hell yeah.
All right, it's time to make our same-game parlay picks
for this week's Giants game presented by the Fanatic Sports and Casino.
You can make your own same-game parlay by picking multiple legs
from this week's game and combine them into one bet,
or you can tail our picks right in the Fanatics Sportsbook app.
Sean, this has got to be it.
Five legs.
This has got to be it this week.
Okay.
This is my week.
It's my turn.
I'm doing J.J. McCarthy, 20-plus rushing yards.
All right.
I like it.
These quarterbacks.
It can happen on one run.
Exactly.
Cam Scarbrough, 20-plus rushing yards.
I sure hope so.
Believe it or not, Cam Scarbrough, 20-plus rushing yards.
That's minus 400 as of Thursday.
So I'm like, oh, that's not too bad.
Woody Marks, 40-plus rushing yards.
Marks has averaged 34 yards per game,
and now he's playing the Giants defense.
So, again, I feel like this is pretty conservative.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
You would expect him to have his best game of the year, of course.
C.J. Stroud, 250-plus passing yards.
The Texans' rushing offense has not been good.
C.J. Stroud is, like, second in the league right now in passing yards,
and he's averaged 285 passing yards per game.
And then I'm going to tell you something.
This is the leg that I am most worried about.
Okay.
Giants plus 18.
An alternate line.
An alternate line, Justin, gives us.
Giants cover an 18-point spread.
As of Thursday, this is plus 460.
Sean, this has got to hit.
It's got to hit.
Well, 28-10 loss, you push on that leg.
So, if they lose this game by 19 or more points,
something's really gone off the rails.
Because, I don't know, as good as Houston is.
Well, no, like, of course something really goes off the rails,
but this is what the league believes the Giants to be at this point.
Well, they believe them at 10 and a half.
You're attacking on another touchdown plus.
I know.
You know what I mean?
You hire John Harbaugh, you shouldn't
be losing games by three touchdowns.
I don't care who's playing.
That's the way I look at it.
That's the simplest way.
Justin, let's ride, man.
Let's ride.
And still, I know I'm kind of brown nosing
the Texans right now a little bit.
They are 2-4.
They're 2-4.
You know what I mean?
Well, two weeks ago, we were looking at this as still continuing
the easy stretch of football, and that is obviously flipped
combined with the way the Giants have played
and the Texans have played.
We look at this game differently than we did three weeks ago.
Yeah.
All right, so this has got to hit.
This has got to be our first one.
Every game day brings another chance to bet, earn, and win.
Fanatics Sportsbook and Casino, the only sportsbook to reward every bet.
Winning hits different here.
Thank you to Fanatics.
I love Fanatics.
I love it.
I do, too.
All right, this Giants defense versus the Houston offense, Sean.
CJ Stroud looks very good right now.
I already mentioned that he's second in passing yards.
He's 13th in EPA per play.
He's 10th in CPOE.
It's an accuracy metric.
He's been accurate.
He's been a top 10 accurate quarterback in the league.
He's a quarterback looking to get paid, Justin.
He's playing like he was in his rookie year, too.
And I really like, dude, I thought that this guy,
from watching him his rookie year,
I thought that I was seeing Montana and Brady.
I'm being serious.
From a processing standpoint, from a footwork standpoint.
Montana and Brady?
That's from a QB brain standpoint.
I mean, he was very good.
That's what C.J. Stroud showed his rookie year.
Okay.
And then he looked just awful, awful, awful,
which also makes this kind of comeback that he's on right now
pretty damn surprising.
You know what I mean?
Yes.
Again, I think a lot of us wrote him off
at the end of the playoffs last year.
We were like, man, C.J. Stroud has just kind of fallen off a cliff.
And again, we expect this to be a, when you pick the Texans
to be a Super Bowl team, if you're one of those people,
you kind of just hope C.J. Stroud would go
to game management style with an unbelievable defense.
But C.J. Stroud's been, outside of Will Anderson,
like the best player on Houston.
And since he's got Nico Collins back again,
it's just a complete game changer for him.
You're talking about one of the elite wide receivers in football.
And you're right.
It's just his decision making.
And when you further compound that, you know
what he actually reminds me of this year so far?
2011 Eli because the Texans rush offense has been so bad
and and you know it kind of gets
lost in Giants lore but the Giants end up having
that year in 2011 where Eli Manning is just
finding his receivers making the right decisions all along
the names might have been fine at running
back but the Giants have the 32nd ranked rush offense
in football that year they remain the
only team to this point to have the worst rushing offense in football
and win a Super Bowl in the
same year and CJ Stroud's kind of having a similar year
and if you look at their start to the 0-4
and the Giants didn't start that way.
This could be a 9-10 win type
2011 Giants season for the Texans
but it's C.J. Stroud just playing
at an almost unheralded
level while not getting a lot from his rush
offense, man. You went Brady
and Manning in his rookie year. I'm going Brady
and Montana. I'm going Eli 2011 for this
year for Stroud. Yeah, I don't know
if the Texans have that
type of run in them. I mean, certainly if their defense
plays at the level that it should. I mean
Stroud. I'm not talking about them actually winning a
Super Bowl. I'm just meaning what Eli did that year
No, it's a great comparison
because even as a pass-blocking offensive line,
the Texans are not good.
But when you look at the overall pressure numbers,
C.J. Stroud has been incredible in the pocket.
He has the fifth lowest QB-owned pressure rate in the league,
despite if you look at pass-blocking efficiency numbers
from starters 1 through 5.
I will say Braden Smith, good note, former Colt, signed him this year.
Braden Smith is going to be making his season debut at right tackle.
Now you have Arante Ursery, who's from Minnesota, tackle, big dude,
a guy that we liked coming out of the draft a couple years ago.
He's allowed a low pressure rate,
but his pass-blocking efficiency numbers are bad.
Like these starters, their pass-blocking
efficiency numbers that they've allowed,
they're pretty bad.
But the pressure rate overall, it's good on this Texans offensive line
because I think C.J. Stroud, similar
to what he was doing his rookie year,
is just navigating this pocket
so well he is winning with pre-snap processing and he's going
through his progressions quickly post-snap
his footwork CJ Stroud looks really really good he's
in rhythm the ball is coming out quick he's taking what
the defense gives him with a lot of quick
in-breaking routes if defenses are providing cushion
at the line if you leave tight ends
uncovered he'll do one of those like snap
and then throws quick to tight ends you see the chiefs
chiefs of Mahomes and Kelsey did
that for years it's like oh you want to give Kelsey cushion all
right, we're just going to snap throw.
And that's a quick free eight yards. And even when defenses
are bringing pressure, and this is where
the Giants kind of their game plan comes in. And even
when defenses are bringing pressure and extra rushers,
he isn't afraid to take the top off
the defense and give his guys opportunities down
the field to make plays for him. He has the fourth
most yards when throwing 20 plus yards down the field
and has the sixth most EPA when throwing
20 plus yards down the field. And I mentioned
that he's pretty good against the blitz too.
So, Sean, this is a dangerous quarterback to bring pressure and blitz.
Even though he's not a big runner and scrambler,
he is still a dangerous quarterback to do that at this rate.
Do you live and die by the sword and trust your secondary,
or is an adjustment in this game needed in terms of the Giants
having this high blitz rate and the aggressive type of defense
that they have run?
I don't want to play scared,
and I almost think you have to play your game
and not play the Texans game because, let's be honest,
the Giants we felt much worse about this defense
when they weren't blitzing like i don't forget
where we were and it clearly has come alive
obviously you need Abdul Carter to come home
in this game you need Caveon maybe to finally get
a sack here in this game but can i tell you
something i i want to make sure
this is right yeah i think he either has one or zero quarterback
hits i was looking at it today right
and like they're starting to say they whatever the advanced
metrics are starting to act better for his rush numbers
but again you have to actually hit the
quarterback and get to him just that i just i i don't like
the idea i i don't i don't trust this
this defense if they're not bringing blitzes like what
do what you're not going to bring
Drew Phillips on blitzes and have them line Nico Collins
and up in the slot have Tank Dell have
his coming out party against him
and not have him come home at any point but however that being said
i'd be remiss if i didn't mention the fact
that uh i know he was out there doing a limited stuff
on thursday we're going to find out officially
if Javon Holland has cleared the concussion
protocol. That's a really big deal in the Giants
secondary if you don't have him. Think about what this
safety room looks like. It doesn't
look like you're going to have Greg Newsome.
It is asking a lot
if you're not blitzing
to also have the banged
up secondary
just sit there and be able to figure this out and just hope
Abdul Carter on his own gets home.
I just think you're setting yourself to
get crushed. I think you have to. I know a lot of people
would argue the other way. You blitz
and then that changes things for the secondary because
then you're leaving them out there to get crushed.
But I think the quicker
you get home on CJ Stroud even with the blitz rate
and all this other stuff the less vulnerable
your secondary is going to have i can't sit there
and have him wait to pick apart that secondary for
extra seconds if you're not blitzing
because i think they'll get crushed in that manner
yeah i mean and the giants are still number one in the NFL
and time to pressure i think that's
like 2.2 seconds or something crazy no crazy what they're doing oh
and another thing man like
Tremaine Edmonds may not play in this game
and if Tremaine Edmonds doesn't play is that
Does that mean that Orville Reese is less likely to blitz more
because you're putting more on his plate from a linebacker position?
That hurts as well with the whole getting after the quarterback.
Yeah, so with this question of how aggressive are you going to be,
there's a seesaw effect happening right now
where you have Javon Holland concussion.
He was back on the field participating.
Dan Duggan didn't see any sign
of Tremaine Edmonds' shoulder on Thursday
and then no sign of cornerback Greg Newsome with the concussion.
so Newsome Newsome you expect to be out
because that's a protocol thing and if you're not out
there by Thursday it's asking a lot of Friday the only thing I'll say
and again what we've learned
Justin and I as most you know content
in the NFL world gets recorded on a Thursday for a Sunday
is that this freaking season has been so infuriating
and trying to guess the giant that
will play and then all of a sudden Friday happens you're like all
of a sudden last week was Abdul
Carter you know we've had weeks
with Andrew Thomas would it shock me that we do this whole
episode and there's Tremaine Edmonds running out there on
Friday practice, it wouldn't shock me because
it's been the Giants season. But I think right now we have to
record this as if we think he's not going to
play. Yeah, I do
think you need to live and die by the sword.
I do too. Play your game. Don't play the
opponent's game. Play your game.
You know, Deontay Banks has recorded eight passes
defense this season. Unbelievable.
Ties for the second most among outside
cornerbacks. I can't freaking believe
what is happening. Guy plays the
ball as good as anybody in the NFL. He recorded
five all of last year five five he after allowing
the fifth highest completion percentage last
season among outside cornerbacks he's allowed just 53.6 percent
of his targets to be caught
uh in the nfl this year um and even him
and Greg Newsome and Deonte Banks as a duo
Greg Newsome and Deonte Banks have recorded the third
and fourth highest tight window rates
in the nfl among outside cornerbacks this season
so i do think that you have to trust
I can't believe that, you know, preseason,
we were so afraid of the secondary, afraid of the secondary.
Shout out to Deandre Wilson and this coaching staff
for kind of fixing these players and these ragtag players of coming in.
You know, Deontay Banks, well, his career's done.
Greg Newsome, well, nobody really wanted him.
And Jacksonville traded for him.
And, you know, it didn't really work out there.
Fix this, like the secondary is like a point of strength for this team.
So even though you have Nico Collins, who was awesome,
awesome down the field, awesome at all parts of the field,
short, intermediate, and deep.
I do feel like you need to live and die by the sword
of what's gotten here this far.
That is absolutely it.
Javon Holland's even part of that, too.
He is.
We're due for a Javon Holland turnover, by the way.
We are.
Well, nobody targets him.
Again, you don't have to be targeted if you're Javon Holland.
You run around and make the play, as we've seen.
You know what, Sean?
I actually do think, even though it's a whole other segment,
I think while we're talking about the secondary,
I do think it transitions your Mooyah player pretty well.
I purposely didn't say this name because
I didn't want to jump ahead too much.
I could have just talked about it.
So full disclosure,
Justin will text me before an episode with some time to spare.
Hey, what's your big blue?
Hey, what's your Mooyah?
Your Mooyah is your Sean Morris, more out of your ass player of the week.
When I texted him this player, I got a holy ---- from Justin.
And I didn't know what that reaction meant.
And Justin's response was, you forget he existed.
So, that's your long tease.
My Sean Morris, more out of your ass player,
your Mooyah is Paulson Adebo.
And if you're saying holy ---- like Justin,
get ready, because you're going to see him Sunday.
Paulson Adebo has been on IR since basically he had
a cameo versus the Cowboys.
We basically haven't seen him again.
And he had a rough training camp where he lost his starting job.
The Giants did practice him this week,
which clearly opens up his window.
they had 21 days once you open up your window to activate him
or he'd be out for the year
but do the math one plus one equals two Greg Newsom
is in concussion protocol he remained
there on Thursday Colton Hood has been banged up
with the concussion for two weeks as well and he's
still a rookie uh and he had a bad one right
a bloody nose i interpreted as it seems like
reporters have Paulson Adebo taking the practice field
as well you're ready and we also need you
because we can't afford to be playing Nick Jones on the outside
with Deontay Banks.
So Paulson Adebo, the fact of the matter is, man,
you were paid here to be in number one corner.
We're allowing you as a fan base to kind of say,
well, we understand the ship has sailed,
and it certainly helps swallow that pill
knowing Deontay Banks' career has been saved.
That being said, do you have any pride in your career?
Do you have any pride in the fact that you're basically
stealing money from the Giants right now
because you weren't terrible last year
when you were playing before you were healthy?
I have seen
a humbling of Deontay Banks
in a turnaround
I have seen, dare I say, for two weeks
a humbling in J.J. McCarty's career
since he stepped foot here
did a stint on the I.L. while the Giants won
or the I.R. won a bunch of football games
that maybe people didn't think
and a stint around this team
where you saw the vibes be good
did any of that enlighten Paulson and Deebo
to understand that maybe this is a good team
and a good coach you want to have some success for
Can we get more out of your ass this week and you don't get lit up
when eventually Nico Collins does play on you at times this week
because the Giants aren't going to have
Banks follow him around the field all game?
Can Paulson and Deebo not be just completely freaking lost?
I know we're going to play some Denard
Wilson sound, I believe, Justin, as well,
so I don't want to spoil any of that, but I'll just say this.
Paulson and Deebo, don't be a traitor this week as well.
Get more out of your ass.
I love it, man. I love it.
I mean, the Texans got a bunch of guys.
I mean, Nico Collins is averaging almost 15 yards per catch.
Xavier Hutcherson, almost 14.
And they got Marvin Harrison Jr. now, too.
We just saw him a couple weeks ago score a touchdown on Banks.
Jalen Knoll, like 20 yards per reception so far this year.
What's crazy about Jalen Knoll, he has 17 receptions out of 21 targets.
And it's almost at 20 yards per reception.
Usually these guys with the high yards per reception,
usually they have lower completion percentages
because they're being targeted deep down the field, right?
So the completion probability isn't as likely.
So it's crazy.
So the CJ Stroud, like we said,
not going to be afraid to throw deep down the field.
He's especially not going to be afraid
to throw deep down the field when defenses blitz.
I mean, if anything, that's a that's a green flag for CJ Stroud.
When teams are starting the blitz,
that means there's less resources that are allocated to the back end.
So I'm going to give my guys an opportunity
to make a play down the field.
So Paulson and Deebo needs to be huge in that regard
and be a guy that makes a play on a football forcing completions.
Do something that he was paid to come in here
and do get more out of your ass.
All right, Sean,
this Texans run game isn't good.
Woody Marks averages 3.5 yards per carry.
David Montgomery averages 2.7 yards per carry.
So I'm prepared for the Texans to end the day with 150 rushing yards.
How about you?
I would go 151.
Price is right.
No, listen, no doubt about it.
We saw it last week, right?
We said if they were going to have a good defensive run game effort,
it would be versus the New Orleans Saints, and it just wasn't that.
And a lot of that had to do with tackling.
So, again, this just, to me, just keeps coming back to the same word
over and over again with the defense.
It's just about pride, man.
Like, it's okay if you're
not the best run defense for a variety of reasons
and that's just talent, but you also just can't get lazy
at every level with tackles.
You know, if they're going to make their plays, make their plays,
but you can't let these plays turn into 25-yard bursts.
You just can't.
Well, in the eyes of Darrell Wilson,
he's not coming with the same perspective
that at least I am with, well, this run defense
and this defense is always going to be bad
as long as they have bad defensive tackles
because he had some very strong words publicly.
I can imagine what he told them privately.
Very strong words publicly about this Giants defense
and the effort that they showed last week against the Saints.
How do you deal with that?
Well, you confront it.
Just like we do, we confront everything.
And when you're in a meeting room, you show those plays.
It's like, you know, I look at guys that don't run the ball
and I call them traitors because they're traitors to the defense.
and at the end of the day and when you
when you have a traitor to the defense you either have to
make adjustments to move them get them off
the field you have to get somebody else on the field
or they have to correct their behaviors
and uh last week was one of those things where we did not
on every play run to the ball and it was unacceptable
and the guys know it and this
year this uh week when you see them out there they will
be flying around 100 miles per hour
with the hair on fire is that more damaging I love Darrell Wilson oh
my god it's gonna suck when he's
a head coach and we don't have him as the
defensive coordinator i don't think that's
going to be this year i think we're going
to get another year of him oh god i hope so he's so good
so by the way jason pinnock trader dally darius
alexander trader jihad ward trader not on the
team not on the team great point yeah man
and i think even i i saw some some beat reporters put
out like sound bites like like there will even
be like shake-ups in the lineup because of certain
effort so you know in the evolving room
and the idea of who is who wants to be the second starting
safety on this team uh that may even change
on another week-to-week basis so uh i can only
imagine man i can only imagine like if this is what's said publicly
and even same thing with
Harbaugh's comments like the strong comments about
the running back room uh this past week publicly
i can only imagine what the conversation
is privately in some of these rooms dude if you're
call the traitor in front of grown men in your
locker room? That's great. That's a strong
word, you know? Yeah. Nobody, like
that is one of those words. You can't break that out
every week or it loses its meaning. Like
hearing that, I mean
that's tough to go
out there the following week and be the
one. You don't want to be the first one on Monday
when they're reviewing the tape to be like, remember we talked about
traitors? You're a ******* traitor. Like you can't have that
happen. No, that's crazy.
So I... Two F-bombs for me today.
I'm sorry to the audience and all the kids listening.
That's okay. That's okay.
yeah again this this texans run run offense isn't good
um but i again i just have no trust
that consistently consistently
that this giants defense can make stops will there be run stuffs
yes will there be maybe some tackles for loss yes
and especially like very very afraid without
tremaine edmonds and if micah mcfadden is like
this lead mike linebacker now this this defense
looks entirely entirely entirely different yeah we got used
to tremaine edmonds he's actually a good
football player very very great signing great I
agree I agree you know I was and I was like one
of oh Devin Devin Lloyd's also gonna have a really good year in in Carolina
but that that seemingly worked
itself out yeah exactly he's he's not Alec Ogletree
that's for sure all right Sean don't be a traitor

of like I don't know what's going on in sports
I kind of envy it in a weird way man like I envy it like
not because it would be one thing if it
It was like a ho-hum start to season.
The Rangers literally lost their best player,
and it was major New York sports news for the year.
I do know that because you told me.
Right.
So then you followed up two weeks later
by going to the hockey season start.
Of course it started.
Igor Shostakovich has been out for the year for two weeks already.
I mean, he lost in the preseason.
I don't know.
Again, I'm not mad at you.
I envy you.
I actually envy the obliviousness.
I really do.
Because you're here with the Giants like I am every week,
and I got a whole nother world circulating around me.
I watched the Nets lose to the freaking Charlotte Hornets
in the Barclays Center
Oh, you did go.
I did see that in person.
I caught a t-shirt from the t-shirt cannon too.
What a banner they have up there too.
Hey, I respect our health workers
and everything that they did a couple years ago.
That's the key.
That's why it's a good tweet.
You can't knock that tweet.
You knock that tweet, you're a bad guy.
That's a crazy banner.
It's a crazy banner.
The mask has a Brooklyn Nets logo on it.
The COVID mask has a Brooklyn.
It's a wild banner.
most important banner hung in New York in the last
decade. Yeah, I'm all football, man.
It's kind of what I
get paid to do around these parts.
I respect it.
Alright, the touchdown draft.
Haha, you lost last week.
Speaking of getting paid to do football,
I was bad at it last week
in the touchdown draft. Jawan Johnson,
Malachi Fields, Cam Scadaboo.
0 for 3. Man, my mistake
was going Cam Scarbrough. He got zero touches
last week. My mistake
in the top five i you gave me
a layup my last pick i'm like oh i can take
you know basically whoever i want the top five outside
of uh malik neighbors right i took neighbors
you could have took likely taken likely it would
be much better you took malik neighbors darnel
mooney ava kamara you got plus 230 on the board with ava kamara
so now i still have a pretty
commanding lead but you've almost cut it in half uh 1345
to your 632 chip away justin and our top
five remember we are only allowed to pick one player inside
the top five favorites for scoring
a touchdown woody marks is the favorite at minus 115 over
at fanatics nico collins is at plus 120
isaiah likely is the first giant to crack
the top five at plus 175 dalton schultz at plus 210
and malik neighbors is fifth at plus 240
so again justin out of those five justin and i are only
entitled to one uh from there on out everybody else
is on the board including all the giant
running backs who was the first pick i i think i had
the first pick you did because you remember
you you ripped the top five band-aid
and you took Malik Nabers right away that sounds right i
wanted to be safe that sounds right okay
because you weren't you weren't messing around this week
okay that's right that's right okay you're first okay it's crazy
that if you look at Cam Akers
and Tyrone Tracy Cam Akers is a plus 360 this week
and Tyrone Tracy's at plus 380 well i think
it's also a guessing game on who the hell's gonna get
these carries yeah and which i do we didn't
really talk about that in the first
so now let's talk about it you you've been on a big like Tyrone
Tracy should get more opportunities
and I agree with you like I one thousand percent agree
with you Najee Harris released now
so we have that out of here um but I don't fully buy that
they like Tyrone Tracy as much
as maybe they should yet maybe not but I don't think we're
gonna buy that until we actually see it I just I mean again
the guy had two touchdowns last week I
know they weren't it was different and it wasn't rushing
the football I mean when when John Harbaugh
stands at a podium and goes you got to earn earn
the right i mean how much more is Tyrone Tracy
supposed to show you that he's tried to find
his way back into the fold here it's a good point um
so what i'm going to do since i have
the first pick uh there are two players on the Houston
Texans that have three touchdowns apiece one
of them is Nico Collins i'm not taking Nico
Collins since he's in the top five
and i want to save that i am going to be taking Foster
Moreau at plus 330 Foster Moreau plus 330 okay 11 catches
on the year only but he has does have
three touchdowns um all right i will follow
that up i'm gonna take JJ McCarthy at plus 600
oh i could see a scramble i can too
and the reason i want to throw throw this out there is i mean we
heard a lot about the mobility but i
also feel like pass rush big third down maybe you're at
the 25 something like that and he just bucks it up and runs
and he's gonna fight for a yard also without
Jackson Dart we haven't been able to take
a giant running quarterback to run for a touchdown i love
the odds here too remember i'm trying to play catch up
so i'm gonna take McCarthy at plus 600
all right man uh it's
so crazy giants only have two rushing touchdowns on the year
both in week one right well Tracy last week
and then Cam Scarbrough oh okay man they only had one
in week one wow okay so you know what you left it
for me Isaiah Likely is just the player that
has the most touchdowns in this matchup
and he's third in odds at plus 175 so i'm going to take
Isaiah Likely at plus 175 let's
do it again i talked about it let's hey let's attack cover
three maybe even get a 30 plus yard rush uh
receiving touchdown here uh give me uh Isaiah
Likely at plus 175 i'm tight
and heavy right now all right i like that so that means i don't have
to go inside the top five right now
because I'm... you do not, oh boy, um, screw it, give me Cam Scadaboo
a plus 360, he's been first up with carries, let's get you back
in the end zone, see you learn your
lesson pal, give me Cam Scadaboo, oh god I already hate
this, I have two Giants, yep yep yep yep
Yep.
Do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do.
Now, this player, even though we're talking about Deontay Banks
making plays on the football,
the last big moment where he didn't make a play on the football
I know it.
I knew it.
Was Marvin Harrison Jr.
I kind of like Jalen Knoll's odds a lot better at plus 420
But I don't know.
This is the second full week of Marv being here
Give me Marv at plus 250
I like that
Give me Marv at plus 250 right outside the top five
I genuinely like that pick out of you.
I do.
All right.
Well, that tees me up
I'd be stupid if I didn't do this.
I'm taking Nico Collins at plus 120 versus a Giants beat up secondary
in the way Houston throws the ball.
All right
So to recap, I got Marvin Harrison Jr. at plus 250
I got Foster Moreau at plus 330
And then my top five pick is Isaiah Likely at plus 175
How about you, Sean?
I have J.J. McCarthy at plus 600
Let's go.
Cam Scadaboo at plus 360
Let's go.
And my top five pick is going to be Nico Collins at plus 120
I think in the last three minutes since we've done this,
I've simultaneously hated, loved, hated, and then re-loved
all three of my picks.
Fantastic.
All right, Sean, one more week before the bye week
Haven't won a game in a minute
Haven't said, haven't really embraced the 1-0 mentality
Yeah, right.
What is your Giants versus Texans
10.5-point underdogs score prediction?
I'm going to take the Texans to cover.
I think we're going to lose this game 33-20,
but I also think it will be closer than
that score indicates in the fourth quarter.
I think Houston tacks on like a touchdown in the last five minutes
that puts the game out of reach,
and it's officially a cover for Houston.
So I will go 33-20.
Houston beats the Giants 33-1.
You're obviously still by default going to be in first place.
You lick your wounds.
You go to the bye week, and you really focus on Philly and Washington
because that could make or break the entire season after that.
I love that we're saying this.
I love that we're saying this.
We were.
I love that the world is against the Giants once again.
Maybe this is what they need.
Nobody believes in us.
Texans 31, Giants 17.
Prove us wrong.
Prove us wrong.
Let's go J.J. McCarthy.
All he does is win.
All he does is win.
Go 1-0.
Prove us wrong.
All right, so we will see you
on Sunday after the Giants and Texans game.
right after make sure you have your uh youtube notifications
on so you get a notification of
