Nick, you mentioned after the game yesterday,
you hadn't had time really to think yet about
the offensive coaching staff.
I was wondering if after thinking about it,
you are making any changes to the staff or
the play caller.
And then when thinking about that type of decision,
could you just take us into how
you go about thinking about it and deciding it?
Yeah, ultimately, every decision I make is going
to be what I think is best for the football
team.
You know, and there's not a handbook to say, hey, this is.
What you go through, how you go through it.
Now, you have different experiences
and all those different things that you lean on in all these scenarios.
But, you know, every situation is different.
You know, I know when you guys asked me that yesterday, it's like...
Hey, are you making any changes there or anything like that?
We understand, and Sean, myself,
that when it's not going the way we want it to go,
that the blame will fall on us.
And that is our job.
We truly do feel that way as far as coaches.
Thank
Whether it is an execution thing, whether it is a scheme thing,
whether it is a fundamental thing, whatever it is,
it's our job as coaches to be problem solvers.
Um, with that being said,
like all of us have things that we have to improve on, um, you
know, and this is never just on one person.
you.
So I'm not making any changes there.
Um, and it is on all of us to figure out.
How to get things going in the right direction obviously right
now they're not but again this is the ultimate team game
and you know we're we're in the problem solving business
and and right now we have to we have to find find answers
to help us get going offensively and and again all that brunt falls
on myself that falls on Sean and you know we're going to we're going
to do everything we can to get ourselves out of this.
Nick, what changes are you going to make this week
and is a change at quarterback on the table?
Again, you know, Tanner's our guy.
We're not making any changes there.
And, you know, again, how do we find solutions?
That could be within scheme.
You know, that could be within how we, you know,
our schedule is, practice plays, right?
And so everything's on the table for us in that aspect.
But, you know, right now, you know, this is where we are right now,
and we're trying to find solutions there.
And so we're looking at everything as far
as what we can do differently as coaches.
You know, that was a big emphasis today.
Hey, here's the things that we've done well.
Here are the things we haven't done well.
How do we get better here?
How do we put ourselves in better positions to succeed?
Because, again, at the end of the day,
regardless of what the issues are,
and, again, there's a bunch of them, as we know.
That's why we're in the predicament that we're in.
Whether it's scheme error, whether it's a mental error,
whether it's a execution error,
whether it's a technique error, whatever it may be,
that falls on our shoulders as coaches.
Which is, because every, like.
I'm not just saying that when I say that.
Every product that is on that field is my responsibility,
and it always will be.
That's the job of the head coach, is to get...
your vision of what you want the team
to be doing to show up each and every
Sunday obviously I haven't done
a good enough job on that but that's what we're
working on right now is finding solutions
and and I know we got a lot of
the you know the right people in the building to do so
