Former NJ pre-K aide photographed students in bathroom: Court docs

A teacher's aide who once worked in New Jersey appeared before a judge today on dozens of new charges related to child pornography and sexually harming children. 44-year-old Sean Stebbins was first arrested in March and charged with sexually abusing four children over more than a decade of time at his home in Summers Point. Like you mentioned, this all stems from an investigation that began back in the spring, but police now have discovered more victims who are as young as three and four years old. 44-year-old Sean Stebbins appeared in court Monday afternoon where he was read dozens of new charges against him, including manufacturing child pornography and aggravated sexual assault. Thank you, Your Honor. Prosecutors allege Stebbins abused multiple preschoolers in his care at Woodbine Elementary, where he worked as a teacher's aide from 2022 until his arrest in March. Community members say the new details are upsetting. How can we heal from this? How can we move on so this doesn't happen again? Stebbins was first arrested back in March, accused of sexually abusing four children, all of them siblings, in his Summers Point home for more than a decade. The allegations date back to 2012. The victims told investigators it was ongoing until 2025. One of the victims came forward as an adult in March, prompting investigators to look into possible abuse at Woodbine Elementary. According to prosecutors, a search of Stebbins' electronic devices uncovered numerous images and videos of students from the school. Court documents allege Stebbins recorded himself performing sex acts on the children in the school bathroom and during nap time. What can you say? It has to be more eyes and more ears, more listening, and maybe it has to be a better screen. So after court today, Stebbins was ordered to remain detained until his next hearing, which is on Wednesday, November 4th. We did reach out to the school district for comment.
