there's a good chance that our
interaction with her would cause her to
move away anyways cuz this wouldn't be a
safe place for her um so what after they
you come back again yeah so when
depending on whether we're going to try
to get her to relocate the babies as I'm
if then yeah we put babies in a and then
we leave ITN we come back tomor to Che
on them oh my God you leave leave right
where she comes in over there probably I
mean she could come in here too it's
hard to say where she's coming but
she'll know where to look for the baby
she'll hear them hear them so mom's
probably in there with them I can't see
her yet but yeah that's what I saw
big so what we have to look at
now you can kind of see inside the shed
it's a lot of stuff we don't want to
disturb her yet because we just need to
figure out we know how she's getting in
but just write up a price for the
customer get her to approve the job and
then we can go in
and get Mom and babies out so we'll back
up for a second we don't want her to
move yet until we're ready we'll close
this and she said she keeps this locked
in the winter so she the raccoon
definitely got in from the other side
where we
saw the opening over
there customer wants us to go ahead with
the job so we're just grabbing our baby
bag Grabbers I'm going to get the baby
box cuz we know there's babies so we
have a baby box and the extension cord
for
after and maybe we'll grab a a pole just
in case and that should be good
for for now

okay let's head to the
back M's definitely in there right now
with the
babies and as you heard with the
conversation with the customer you can't
really prevent her
from going back under there's so many
spots on this deck that would allow her
to get in
so what we're going to do is hopefully
once our babies are out and just the
interaction with us will make her want
to take them to a different Den site and
the customer needs to clean it up a bit
so it's not as desirable for the
raccoon it's going to be interesting to
see how she's getting ah I just saw it
Cass come back
here there isn't an entrance from the
bottom up she's going through this hole
that tiny hole yeah look at the fur on
the pieces of wood she fits in that I
think she does so it's good for us to
keep in mind that that's probably where
she's going to want to get to if she's
going to escape
us um that is like the size of my fist I
know but it's I I can't well I mean
maybe when we get inside we'll see that
the floor yeah has a hole but it's it's
actually the plastic wood floor so we
just found another bigger hole that
makes more
sense how it's a lot bigger the other
one was basically the size of our fist
but there was fur on it so maybe she
tried to go out one time but you can see
the hole and then the screen behind is
pushed back so that's very likely how
she's coming and going cuz the customer
did say she keeps the door locked over
there all winter so definitely isn't
going through the front door she's
getting in through another way okay so I
I think the way we should proceed on
this is when we get in there there's a
good chance that the mother will just
bolt and she'll want to come out this
hole that's broken in the lattice there
um and I think if if you hand a baby off
to me real quick I'll run out here I'll
get it on the ground for her to uh to to
get as she's coming out cuz ideally we
always like to yeah start the relocation
process and that's happened on a couple
this year yeah where the mom just wants
a baby really quick yeah and if uh we
establish this as the place to put the
box and that makes good sense okay so
let's go and see what we can do
first getting the longer pull I don't
have to go so close to her than she is
I'm just going to gently C
her come on mom so she wants to go out
there we go no go go yeah come on keep
it going come on Mom make some noise
Make some noise go go okay get a baby
get baby get a baby oh she's going up on
the
roof there's one baby okay so we have a
baby want to bring him outside see if
Mom will take him let's see if we can
enourage she's not all the way out yet
but here she
is here Mom here's your baby
come on Mom can I come out or hold the
screen you can stay
there starting to climb down just make
sure she doesn't come back in hold
try
get go get your
baby okay she's got her baby
he going under the deck with
it so you saw the mom take her one baby
which is great she's now under the deck
around here we can actually hear her but
it's okay for now so we'll go in and get
the rest of the
babies it's nice now that we don't have
to
worry all righty let's grab the rest of
the
babies they super
tiny less than a week
old here's the first one here
so cute super
cute it's okay watch for Mom behind me
it's
okay number
one number
two okay
and number
three this one's
quiet wait I want him to
film she coming is she oh was that me
holy that scared me that was right
behind my head
it with you I was just picturing her
right my NE might have bumped into
it all right well we got all the babies
after that little scare well okay and so
she used just a plastic bag for her nest
which is perfect all she needs but she
came in here she had a lot to choose
from and she chose the plastic
bag we were kneel down right here and
this is where she's coming and going so
that's why we got a little
scared you have the grab yep
yep the baby she's on the
roof she to come this way is she over
there bring her yep she's on this side
show her she's up
there here same SP same no no bring her
over here way she can see
her put her down on the ground right
there
what a good
Mama going to a different spot or maybe
she went there in the next
[Music]
which deck you going to choose
Mom good job yeah decks at this time of
the year are so wet underneath because
of all the rain we've had um just not a
suitable living quarters for her she'll
have other Den sites in the neighborhood
oh There She Goes she's actually
traveling she's taking the baby to her
secondary Den so quiet so cute just
tired they're striped na s a little
paws taking out he's so content he's not
even
crying little
sleepy Gates Wildlife has partnered with
realink which is a company that sells
security cameras and this is the camera
that we have been using on all our job
sites to humanely monitor what's going
on with mom and babies so when you do
see those clips realink is the camera
that we have been using they are 4G so
it's cellular based we can monitor it
from home at night and see if the mom
has come back and watched her real time
and this is exciting for us because we
really love their product the camera
actually does also come with a solar
panel so you don't have to worry about
it dying if it is on your home or for us
at a long-term job where Mom has moved
into the box this is perfect cuz we just
connect it and it keeps the battery
running we are excited to work with
realink to continue monitoring all of
our jobs and right now you'll see us
using it in real time on the job that
you've been watching real link has also
given us a discount code for any of you
to purchase from their website it is a
5% off discount code and you can find
the link and the description about the
discount code in our bio use that code
to buy any of the security cameras it
doesn't have to be this one specific and
check it out okay so she has three of
her babies and this is the fourth we did
see her come over the fence but then she
got scared and went back which is fine
because we're all here and the customer
was out here so we're going to place the
fourth baby in the Box here we have our
camera set up facing the baby so that we
can keep an eye on him see the mom come
back and what we're going to do is check
the camera and if she comes soon we'll
come back this afternoon to collect the
box but if she takes a little longer
we'll leave it overnight like always it
is plugged in so the baby will be nice
and warm while it
waights and we're just going to close
the
lid and we'll go to our next job and
come back if we need
to okay so we have our camera set up in
the Box we're going to leave the door
open so that the light's coming in and
so that Mom comes back and just sees the
baby so that's my foot there and the
baby's right there it'll be really cool
to see the mom come back so let's go and
we'll return later
