Get ready for a heartwarming wildlife control adventure! Gates Wildlife Control technicians Cassandra and Brad are on a mission to locate and collect a family of raccoons living in an attic.
As they navigate through the attic, they discover four large baby raccoons hiding in at the corner. But just as they're gathering up the little ones, momma raccoon makes a surprise appearance!
Watch as this devoted and maternal mother raccoon responds to the sounds of her babies outside for the very first time. It's a moment you won't want to miss!
We are using the Reolink Go Ultra camera to capture our trail cam footage! During the last clip the mother raccoon unfortunately bumped the camera ending our footage prematurely.
Please give this video of thumbs up if you enjoyed it!

hey
[Music]
he so we were just up in an attic and it
all started so quick that we didn't have
time to film an inro like we usually do
but what you're about to see is kind of
a unique situation and surprise us with
the age of the babies and something a
little bit crazy happens you'll see how
we react in the Attic So what I'm about
to show you is what just happened and
then we'll continue the job on from
there we have heard the babies from the
outside which is kind of unusual you
don't usually hear the babies from the
street level in the Attic but they're in
a window bump out so we know it's that
way from We're orienting oursel from
where we are to the front of the house
we're going to go up and head that way
right away let turn my light
on sit on
here it's going to be messy
a little bit they've been playing with
the
styrofoam not that bad
[Music]
[Music]
okay to where Mom is
bump
out think I see her in that far Corner
yep all the babies are mobile okay you
got to hurry okay go to hug PL if you
can one two 1 two three four there's one
let Corner them two three four I
actually don't see M so that's good we
had that guy so he doesn't come I know
those are my favorite
size there we
go okay so we're going to grab
this guy first quiet quiet quiet
quiet got one m in the bag get him in
the bag get them quiet one baby so when
they start screaming the rest of them
kind of freak
out I'm glad the s's so open ready yep
we're getting the second guy
here come on it's
okay I just want to in the bag there
look at him okay there we go oh Jesus
look at him look at him scream his head
off watch for Mom I'm glad I can see
this whole Space otherwise I'd be
freaked out one look at him he's hiding
behind this herey take it I got you
buddy
no they came towards the
light hold I got him he calm a little
more calm buddy what's the other guy
doing just to check no he's just stuck
there I got him okay okay one more okay
B bag bag is
on so we don't want them screaming cuz
that's what Mom will come running for
it's a little bit of a panic situation
when they're this age okay you want to
try to avoid that so here take this the
last
guy is hiding in
here
peekaboo I see you
so we got three of
four it's the last little guy watch your
head on the there's no Nails there
you're
good
here hi
baby making the
Escape I'll take
it quiet quiet quiet quiet quiet
hold him a little differently he might
not see no he's going to
scam there you go look he's covering his
head it's okay sweetie they make a lot
of noise it's not in pain it's just to
alert mom that there's danger and he's
not
happy M okay get him get him in the bag
mom just came up they're getting out
they're getting oh
I got I got them hey put them in
get them all in Mama's come right up on
us here we should get out so that she'll
come look at me so Mom came through
there so you never know the temperament
of an adult
raccoon um we've been attacked before I
never got that on film but uh just
especially when babies are screaming
like that she's on great alert she could
have fully ran at us she was within a
foot of me and we're so confined up here
we're lucky that we can see into the
offet but yeah we got to get the heck
out of here before she gets angry watch
the bag on that yep
okay so hopefully she comes out once
we're out but we're going to go
quick my legs are shaking like an 8:00
appointment with big mobile babies big
mobile babies lots of
excitement oh and they all try to escape
it's so crazy the second you wow aren't
watching them some mom's down there I
guess here we also have the challenge
of trying to stay on the beams when all
this is going on cuz you step in the
wrong spot you end up in the ceiling in
the floor
below
holy but she's down here somewhere how
many four
yeah okay let's go before Mom comes
oh
wow we got them look how big this bag is
and they're just yeah massive there's a
lot of them
there okay so we have to take our my
mask it's okay it's garbage now
[Applause]
okay will they attack me no no I'm going
to just grab one these aren't quite as
big as the ones you described theyve
never been out of the attic before I'm
just going
grab just grab one oh my gosh one
second close the bag they have rabies no
no there's no there okay they scream a
lot yeah so he's just screaming to call
for mommy's not like in pain or anything
but I'll show you how that goes it's
okay
buddy they amazing yeah of course so
these guys are big they're the biggest
that we've seen this year they're big a
lot of them have their eyes closed still
which means they're not 21 days old
so they were born about the time you
said about a month ago yeah cuz that's
when I started hearing all the like the
noise the chattering yeah but now since
their eyes are open they're probably not
crying as much they're more just calling
out for Mom like that but they're really
cool there's four the
size they're literally like puppies oh
oh yeah it's okay complaining yeah even
when they bite at this agage it's just
like a puppy bite it's not actually but
they don't carry any like rabies no so
there's no rabies past Hamilton they've
controlled it okay so there's none in
Toronto or further yeah it's
okay we're going to try to lure the
mother out now in front of the
baby did you get a good picture okay
perfect it's
okay
Mom she's coming
back come on Mom
come get
him I got to he put him on the ground
between I know he's going to
run very maternal mother generally when
they go get her before she goes under
the car but Mom's
coming is she there I don't know I don't
see her
do I have your phone here you want phone
I don't know she's coming I'm not sure
where she went
so she was coming out of the hole
regardless of the baby's making any
noise at
all and then we saw her climb down onto
the ground but we stayed behind the car
cuz we didn't want to Spook her and even
though the baby was so crying she booked
it this way so she just wanted to get
out of the roof get away from us all
together and uh which is fine so we a
very maternal mother you have the family
here
looking we're showing uh the neighbors
are looking up their window so we're
showing them a baby
raccoon cute so we have my favorite age
of baby raccoons in this bag so far this
year all we've seen is babies with their
eyes closed so they don't really they're
not so interactive with with you but
these guys you'll see their eyes are
open they're very
interactive they're so cool so they're
about 5 weeks old their eyes would have
opened a couple weeks ago and when we
went up in the attic they were just kind
of exploring walking away from us we
have someone walking over to see the
baby behind you right now we can let him
come take a photo but they are just so
cool at this age hello they were in an
attic over there oh they just you want
no there's four babies do you want a
photo yeah okay here you
go try to get him to say
still his mother is running around right
oh yeah yeah yeah yeah they were living
in the Attic with their
mom which one is okay um two houses down
yeah it's okay but you guys catch that
because before they opens and leave it
until they goes away yeah we remove the
babies and then we theom mom came out so
now we've closed it so they don't live
there anymore yeah where's the mom she
ran somewhere that way yeah she'll come
back you going to leave she'll come back
later for them yeah so where you going
to leave it um we leave them in a heated
Bo or a box yeah
oh
y I know where they going to live right
because they're building all the houses
and yeah I know they have to live in
houses lot of birs my lights they're
building that oh the nest yeah yeah
they'll do that
he wants to move around it's very cool
this is what I like so much about them
cuz they will move and
explore I think he might keep it as a
pet right no it's illegal in Canada so
you can't keep any as pets it's okay
buddy going get one more out we're
filming something for YouTube we have a
YouTube
channel okay let me get one of your
siblings out there going be two of you
just so I only have two
yeah this guy seems a lot thicker than
his
sibling you got your hands full my arm
full it's okay but so cool how they can
climb so well at such a young age they
would have just started moving
around and their claws are just so
sticky so they can grab onto my shirt
and move around it's okay
No Escape B it's okay you can kind of
see the size difference I feel like this
guy's a little bit thicker just when I'm
grabbing them but they're very
healthy they don't even know where they
want to go they just want to escape from
me you guys are my
favorite oh it's okay it's
okay there we go
they're much more calm than when we
grabbed them from the attic they were
just unsure what was happening they've
actually never been outside so this is
their first time in the
daylight it's okay doesn't like being
grabbed
no so he's just calling out for Mom
right now I just placed him down in
front of me he's never been on the the
ground before so this is all so new to
him it's all right
this is really
cool okay we're going to put you in the
Box are you ready for that let's
go it's all
right
hello as you've seen these babies are
very mobile they can climb and we don't
want them getting out of the boxes at
the m so we've put it the base up so
that we can put the babies in they won't
be able to get out without her and
she'll come back and help them off the
roof for the very first time and put all
the babies in the
box number
one we get the second one
here this guy's got to be bigger he
feels so much bigger than his
siblings but they're is so grippy they
want to grab onto
everything they don't know what's going
on they're very confused but Mom is
going to teach them everything they need
to know about climbing and getting up
and down off
[Music]
roofs what the heck is going on huh go
with your
siblings have have one more guy to put
in
he's right
here what you
doing where'd your siblings
go you want to come
[Music]
out okay the fourth big
baby biggest babies I've seen this year
we're going to go into the box head on
in now we have all four in the Box
they'll be safe and wait for Mom and
this way with the way the box is she'll
only be able to grab one baby at a time
but for now we're going to close it and
she'll be able to find them and go in
really easy so as we watch the mom come
down we now know where she's coming up
and down which is this down spout which
leads all the way up so what we've done
is we have a camera up on the baby box
so we know when she comes back but we
set up another camera on the wall here
and it's going to the footage you're
about to see
will look like this from this
perspective so it's a little hard to see
but if you step back you can kind of
understand what you're looking at it's
the top of the roof line there with the
S it and then the down boot leading down
is what you're going to see on the
camera and once she passes our camera
she'll drop down on the ground and
she'll be able to take her baby off to
the new Den site
[Music]
yeah wa wa wait wait wa
