Hey, I'm Jackson Coyvin. I'm here to answer your questions about being a rookie on the PGA TOUR.
A dream come true!
I did check my bank account.
How do you actually turn pro? What is the process?
Anyone can turn pro. You can always be a professional golfer. It doesn't matter how good or bad you are.
It's just more the fact of finding a place to play. Q-School is probably the best way to to get into the professional ranks besides
obviously PGA TOUR University, which is the college bafflet.
This one's from Instagram.
Be honest, did you check your bank account immediately after your win at the 3M and did you buy yourself something nice?
Yes, I did check my bank account.
I have not quite gotten to figuring out what I'm gonna buy yet. This one's from Instagram.
What changes have you made off the course since turning pro? I have moved.
I moved right before the US Open down to Jupiter. Golf courses and weather down here is great.
It's a little hot right now, but no real changes to equipment.
I've been messing around with some putters, but I found one that I liked. This question comes from X.
How does the pressure of performing for the sake of your teammates in college compare to being a leader at a PGA TOUR event?
I'm gonna say they're the same and different at the same time. When you're performing for teammates and for in my case Auburn,
you don't want to let them down. And leading in a PGA TOUR event, you don't want to let yourself down.
So they're very different, but definitely have a similar impact.

What was the most surprising text or phone call you got after your win?
117 messages. I finished like five minutes ago.
I got a good amount of texts. It was pretty cool to have Steph Curry reach out. That was definitely a surprising one.
What's the best advice you've received so far on TOUR? This one comes from YouTube.
Honestly, just be myself. Believe that what I have is good enough.
Don't be trying to change everything once you get out of the PGA TOUR because what you were doing in the past that got you there is good enough.

What's the atmosphere like in a TOUR locker room? Are guys locked in or relaxed? You get a mix of both.
Come Thursday, Friday, guys are pretty locked in, but they're pretty chatty on other days.
Are you a goal setter? If so, what are your goals for 2027? This one comes from YouTube.
I wouldn't say I'm necessarily a goal setter.
I like to set daily goals and believe that if I accomplish those, then good outcomes are going to come in the future.
Obviously, getting another win would be huge.

As a rookie, how did you pick your caddy?
I was fortunate enough to get a lot of pro starts throughout my sophomore to junior summer of college.
My agency just had a caddy reach out and I was just like, yeah, let's do it.
And I had some success last summer and we're just keeping it rolling right now.

Which player has been your favorite to play with so far on TOUR and why?
Me and my friend Ben James, we kind of got a thing going every Tuesday.
We play a practice round, we came out at the same time and we're always having a good match out there.

What is something you get access to as a PGA TOUR rookie that most fans wouldn't know about?
I'd say the cool thing is getting a courtesy car pretty much every week.
It's pretty sweet.
Grabbing a nice whip to the golf course and locker room attendants are always nice.
They're always great.
So that's a cool little touch.

What's the nerdiest conversation you've found yourself having with another TOUR player?
There's a couple guys I can get into the nitty gritty of golf and the technical aspects of equipment.
Probably something about putters and how different inserts create different feels and ball speeds off the face.
You get onto the technical and like a Quintec or something like that.
It might not say it, but we all know it might actually cause a difference.

A year ago, there were coaches and teammates helping structure your golf life.
Now you're essentially the CEO of Jackson Corbin Golf.
What's been the strangest part of suddenly being in charge of all of it?
Just being more responsible, honestly.
Week in and week out, being in a different spot, being by yourself.
You just got to be a little more mature and I'm still getting used to it.
This question comes from YouTube.
Whose ball flight on TOUR has impressed you the most?
This is a guy I played with in a practice round two and a half years ago at the Memorial.
Ludwig Oberg.
It's impressive how high and how straight the golf ball goes.
When I played with him, I kind of realized that I need to start getting the golf ball a little bit higher.

What tournament are you most excited to play next year other than the Masters and why?
Hard not to say the players.
I love TPC Sawgrass.
It's a great golf course and obviously it's one of the prized events on the PGA TOUR.
Last one.

If you could take one skill from a current PGA TOUR player and add it to your game tomorrow,
whose and what?
It's either Rory's driving or Scotty's iron play.
I mean, it's a pretty base answer, but they're both so good at what they do.
It's quite impressive.
Thanks for listening.
Hope those answers help.
Take care.
