This has got to be the greatest era of Dodger baseball,
going all the way back to Brooklyn
as well.
I mean, I can't think even under the Lasorda time
and even under the Austin time where
you had a better era of baseball.
Is that fair to say, Tim?
I don't think it's just fair to say.
I think it's accurate to say.
When you look at the history of this franchise, it's a storied history.
Have they won all the championships the Yankees have won?
No.
But they've been there.
They've been around.
And they play exceptional baseball.
you're drawing 40, 50,000 a night
which most teams just can't do obviously Dodger Stadium is the
biggest venue in baseball
but you know the way the fans turn out the way that they uh you know
you can't go anywhere in the city
um without seeing something Dodgers in fact uh i was briefly
in Japan in July and you can't go around Tokyo without
or the entire country without seeing
something Dodgers especially the Ohtani
and Yamamoto and Sasaki jerseys uh you would think
you're in Los Angeles sometimes
when you're walking in in areas of Tokyo with the number
of people wearing Dodger stuff more
so than Tokyo Giants stuff it was incredible to witness i knew
it was going to be big i didn't think it was going to be that big
but it is huge uh the Dodger stores
there i mean obviously here they do too
but um i just do i do agree i think that all in all when
you put the pieces together
and you you put it into this one pack last 10 years or so this is
golden era of Dodger baseball and the guy
who's been guiding the ship Dave Roberts i think has
secured a spot in the Hall of Fame for what he has done uh
as a manager not as a player he was a
pretty decent player good player role player uh
but as a manager when you look at the managers
who've been placed in the Hall of Fame he's equaled
or bettered a lot of them in terms of
what he's done in terms of wins and losses
so i think that that's not hyperbole and that's not
just because i work around the guy and i know him it's
because of what his body of work matches or
or supersedes many other Hall of Fame managers bodies
of work you know you win three World
Series you're pretty much in but he's
been there he's been to that dance a lot of times
uh and three times he's come away with the with the one
that brought him and other times he's
gone away short-handed but again just to get there is quite a chore
Thank
you.
