I absolutely love what I am hearing right now from the newest star of this Miami Heat organization,
Giannis Antetokounmpo. I'm here to break down his brand new quotes over the series of the last few
days and how it feels like Miami was the perfect fit for him and it really does feel like this
team is going to do everything in their power, not only player-based but coaching-based and really
in the front office and all of the organization. They're going to legitimately make the toughest
run at an NBA championship they possibly can and I cannot wait. I'm here to break down all of those
new quotes and just how much of an impact Giannis Antetokounmpo is going to be for this organization
and why it was the best move they could have made this past offseason. We'll break down all of that
on this episode of Heat Digest but first, before we get to the news and information,
please do us a favor by scrolling down and smashing that subscribe button as we are on our
way to 5,000 subscribers and we can't do it without you guys. But now let's get to it and break down
the news surrounding the newest superstar of this Miami Heat team and I understand that he gave up
a king's ransom in order to get Giannis and Bobby Portis this past offseason from the Milwaukee
Bucks but it is well worth it and there is no way around it. I understand when you look at the trade
packages you may say there's no way a team can be successful despite getting Giannis and a really
good other key role player, complementary player in Bobby Portis when they give up Jaime Jaquez
Jr., young and promising talent. Tyler Hero, decent player overall, good score specifically.
Kasper Syakouchonis, prolific three-point shooter, only in the league for one single season, has a
lot more of his game to unlock. Kahlel Ware, in the league for two, three seasons, a legit stretch
big as a seven-foot-one big man with great athleticism plus all of the draft compensation
that was attached. It's very hard to wrap your head around the idea that any team that's able
to give up that type of package is going to remain in any form of competitive atmosphere
especially in a daunting Eastern Conference that got extremely, extremely good this past
offseason. I'm here to tell you the Miami Heat are absolutely that team and the reason being is
because Giannis Antetokounmpo is a former MVP and looks to be on the verge of going out and possibly
making a run at another MVP this time while wearing a Miami Heat jersey. With that being said,
we are going to thank our sponsor for this video, Kalshi. Use the link down in the description or in
the pinned comment and use code DigestNBA when signing up. New users get $55 added to their
account instantly when trading their first $25. And you heard me say trading there, that is the
of Kalshi. You are trading yes or no contracts on the outcomes of absolutely anything and everything.
TV shows, movies, politics, weather, gas prices, sports, it doesn't matter. Whatever you may want
to trade on, yes or no, go to Kalshi, use that link down in the description or in the pinned
comment. You can also trade on the winner of the MVP this season where Giannis Antetokounmpo
currently has a 6% chance. All the odds are very low outside of Victor Winminyama. I think he leads
the pack with a 10% chance. A $25 trade pays $390.83. And again, if you do make this trade
with the link down in the description or in the pinned comment, you get that $55 added to your
account instantly. Why not? Thank you again, Kalshi, for sponsoring the video, but let's get
back to it and break down some of these quotes from Giannis and specifically Giannis on head
coach Eric Spolstra. So, we're going to start with this comment itself.
Defense is defense and I feel like this group is very competitive. Like, I'm seeing how fast guys
move. They move so freaking fast. It's insane. Like, I don't know if I'm getting slower, I don't
know what's going on. I don't know if they're being trained under this coach for many years
and they're used to that speed. We were talking about something yesterday. You don't want to be
the guy who doesn't carry their weight, who doesn't do their job. I feel like everyone that steps on
the floor is trying to do their job and if someone isn't doing their job, we try to keep them
accountable. And with that mindset, everyone is going to defend, everyone is going to guard.
I love this quote from Giannis. Not only is it an accurate quote because it's the Miami,
this is how things are going to go. You're going to play fast, especially in practice.
The conditioning is going to be brutal, but the defense is going to be the backbone of this team
and of this organization the way it has for years now. And with that being said, just because you're
Giannis Antetokounmpo and you're as accomplished and established as you are in the league does not
mean things are going to change. It does not mean things are going to alter. It is going to remain.
And honestly, things might even step up another level, to be honest with you, in the sense of
intensity and intent. And that is exactly what it appears we are getting from Giannis and this
organization led by head coach Eric Spolstra, who Giannis went on to say this about and continue to
praise because it's just different. He has not experienced this to this extent yet in his career.
It's really a breath of fresh air as this is going to really unlock more of Giannis Antetokounmpo
than we've ever seen. Again, this is Giannis on spoke. Quote, he's going to push me. I can tell
he's going to push me. He's going to be very direct with me, what his expectation is of me.
But he's going to keep me accountable and he's going to push me, challenge me. I don't think
I've ever gone back and forth with a coach. I'm just going to take it and listen. You know,
he's been here or he's been there. He knows what it takes to win. You know, a guy like that is
coming. He's going to challenge you because he believes in you. So I'm going to try my best to
do whatever he asks and whatever the team needs. These answers could not be more perfect from the
number one player on your team, in your organization. This is exactly what you want to
hear and there is no way around it. If this was Pele Larsson or Devion Mitchell or anyone else
outside of maybe Giannis and Bam on a bio, it would be a great answer. Don't get me wrong,
but it means so much more coming from Giannis Antetokounmpo because he is the guy in Miami.
He is going, he's going to be the future of Miami for years to come and for him to accept the
challenge and accept the overall just bravado of this heat organization and the challenging from
head coach Eric Spolstra. It is absolutely perfect. Now we have, I believe, two more quotes I'm going
to quickly run through. The team can help you operate this thing and navigate this whole process,
but yeah, I'll be honest with you. I've been with this team for two to three weeks now and I've
learned so many different things. Like I viewed the game one way and now playing under the heat
organization, it's kind of making me view the game in a different way. So I'm evolving well.
I hope I'm evolving. Giannis alluding to the fact that things are quickly changing and things
continue to evolve, especially now that he's changed overall, just changed locations,
changed sceneries, got to a different spot in his NBA career and now is learning
from two very different individuals since compared to who we learned from in Milwaukee,
that being Pat Riley and head coach Eric Spolstra. Again, we are getting really,
really good answers. It's not that Giannis is getting scared away by the idea that he has to
not only defeat, but the idea of change and the idea of just altering the way he's learned and
the way that he's going to go through practicing and progression. I'm sorry, I'm having a small
heart attack right there, but you know what I'm saying? He's not shying away. He's still
accepting the challenge. He's going through it. He's verbally accepting it as well,
which is huge for this Miami team. Actually, we'll skip over this one and just conclude the video
with this final quote from Giannis that just came out in the last few days. It's going to happen.
It's going to take time, but we're preparing for something that will take place in June.
I know the people I have next to me, we have the same mindset. Bam wants to win. Coach wants to
win. The organization wants to win. We'll be at this place. We're supposed to be.
Love it again. Another 10 out of 10 answer from the star of this Heat organization,
Giannis Antetokounmpo. Let me know down below, what are your thoughts and opinions on these
quotes from Giannis and his overall mindset and acceptance of the Miami Heat culture and the
overall workload and just intensity of it. I'll see you guys on the next episode of Heat Digest.
Thank you guys for watching.
