Google's Most Disturbing Quantum Experiment Needs a Human Volunteer — Awake

Three field manuals for people who would rather watch the sky than argue about it: spot the satellites watching you, shoot the Moon with your phone, and pick a first telescope that actually shows Saturn's rings.
In May 2024, Hartmut Neven, the founder of Google Quantum AI, and Christof Koch of the Allen Institute published a peer-reviewed protocol for physically linking a human brain to a quantum computer, then asking the volunteer whether the experience felt bigger. The reason they think it might work goes back to an anesthesia lab in 2018, where 80 mice were put to sleep with four isotopes of xenon. The two isotopes with a nuclear spin needed 40 to 50 percent more gas.
This video follows that paper step by step: the three experiments it lays out, the organoid test already underway, the eight-rat study at Wellesley that the rest of YouTube treats as proof, the King's College London team now running a neuron model on Google's Willow chip, and the experiment 1,400 meters under Gran Sasso that ruled out the version of quantum consciousness most videos are selling you. Then the two things nobody has solved: Tegmark's decoherence number, and a 2026 Caltech model that explains the mice without consciousness at all.
Nothing in it has touched a human. By the authors' own account, no current brain-computer interface can hold the coupling.
