Dodgers Make MULTIPLE Huge Last Minute Changes...
1 Video View·Oct 6, 2026
The Los Angeles Dodgers have made multiple major changes ahead of tonight's Game 3 matchup against the Atlanta Braves and this has some serious implications about what to expect for the remainder of the postseason.
We're going to be breaking down what these changes are as well as multiple quotes from Dave Roberts as he has put this team on notice.
We're going to be breaking it all down here in this video.
Before we do get into it, folks, if you haven't already, be sure to drop a sub here on the channel.

We're on the road there. Your guys' support's been incredible.
Appreciate you guys for tuning into these videos every single day and we have a lot of news coming.
You will not want to miss it. We're getting videos out here every single day.
But we need to get straight into it because the lineup has officially been announced as you see from Blake Harris right here.
The big thing to note is Shoai Otani has moved down to number 5 in the order and we're also seeing Miguel Rojas slot in here in this game against Chris Salem.
The lineup is as follows.
Spooky Bats, Freddie Freeman, Teoscar Hernandez, Will Smith, Shoai Otani, Miguel Rojas, Andy Pajes, Kyle Tucker, and Kike Hernandez with Yoshinobu Yamamoto on the mound.
Now, the biggest thing from this, like I said, was Shoai Otani being fifth in the order, moving him down.
The Dodgers actually did it and you see Dave Roberts speak right here about this.
Kind of weighing in on the lineup move and making this kind of decision known to a lot of people as to the reason why this was done.
Which, at this point right now, had to be done.
And you see this here with Dodgers Nation.
Dave Roberts says he is open to moving Otani further down the lineup if needed.
He's already down to number 5, but maybe we see him go lower if things do not progress in a positive direction.
He would have the conversation with Shoai before doing so, but added Shoai has always been willing to do what's best for the team.
So, you know, this was obviously prior to this move down to fifth, but I don't doubt that they would go even further if needed.
Right now, if you have specific eyes on, like Max Muncy, who has been playing pretty good in these postseasons,
you've got to make that sacrifice to do what's best for right now, rather than what may be good for, you know, down the line.
Right now, it's 1-1 in the series. You're not in a bad spot.
It's just another game that you have to win, no different than everything else.
But Dave Roberts did put the explanation as to why Otani is not at 100%.
Obviously, we know the injuries, the entirety of this season, he's been dealing with something,
whether it's been the elbow, the back, the knee, the neck.
You know, it's just absolutely crazy how many things he has been dealing with,
and that's the big reason as to why this move was made, knowing that he's still not at 100%.
He sees that Otani is still in a spot where he can explode, like he did last postseason in the NLCS, despite his health.
So, that is a reason as to why we're seeing him at 5, rather than, you know, anywhere less than that.
You want him still in an impact position, and you have him at that right now.
You know what you're dealing with, you know what options you have,
and even if you go down the lineup, Kyle Tucker's been pretty good this postseason,
and you know, I don't want to go and jinx anything, but if you get him back,
you know, you have Otani bounce back, you have Mookie bounce back,
you have those guys spread throughout the lineup.
You're in a pretty good spot, once again, but we need to see it actually be put into action.
So, give me your thoughts on the movement of Otani down to 5th in this lineup,
but there's a guy who's also been benefiting a lot from this, and that's been Freddie Freeman.
You know, he's been one of the guys, as well, who has been on through this postseason,
not like a lot of players have been, but when you see Freddie Freeman at his best, that is good.
You see this here from Dave Roberts, says he felt good about Freddie Freeman going into the series.
Health-wise, the week off got him back to health and to be able to work through some things
without having to perform in a game setting was helpful.
So, you know, given this, whatever happens with Freddie Freeman, I guess,
and I don't want to kind of go into any speculation, but you never know when it could be the last,
you want to make sure that you're playing the best, and Freddie Freeman's been doing that,
and I think a lot of the team should also give it that mindset for a name like Freddie Freeman,
and you never know what changes are going to be made over the next couple of seasons
with, you know, a big change in baseball coming.
So, you know, given that, a lot of things to think about, even when you're looking at the game itself,
and Dave Roberts says he believes Freddie Freeman has found a swing, he's been healthy,
and he's getting healthier, and he's been as healthy as he has in a long time,
which is all a real benefit.
So, you know, that all kind of compiles into this lineup decision here from Dave Roberts,
and another one which has kind of added into this lineup decision.
You see him there at number seven in the lineup, and that is Andy Pahez.
As we mentioned in yesterday's video, there were a lot of decisions that had to be made surrounding Andy Pahez.
Whether it would be taking him out of the lineup, whether it would be completely limiting his challenges,
he's still here, and, you know, we can't disregard what he's done in the regular season,
because he was very, very good.
Second half wasn't as great, of course, dealing with an injury for about a month as well,
but if you go back to first half, Andy Pahez, he's a guy you want,
and I'll pull it up right here as well, story about that graphic popping up once again,
but if we do go ahead and look at Andy Pahez, the stats this year, the option,
the ability that he does indeed have here,
in the postseason, it right now is what matters, and it has not been there.
A 104 batting average in his career in the postseason, 21 strikeouts, a .343 OPS.
Dave Roberts said this on Andy Pahez,
I'm going to continue to give Andy leash, I believe in him, I think for us to be able to win the World Series this year,
we're going to need him to be active, to be an active part of the team, excuse me,
and I think we go back to even last season, you know how important he was in the outfield,
that's not going to change, you know, he's a very important fielder,
and even though he's going to be a liability at the plate,
you know that he has the possibility, and he's capable of bouncing back,
and if we look at him against Atlanta, really, you know, a couple times,
last few meetings, hasn't played too many, hasn't had too many hits,
not the greatest against Atlanta, I guess we could say, granted it's only been a handful of games,
but you've got to believe in a guy like Andy Pahez,
you know, you don't want to count him out, you can't, because of what he's done,
and although the postseason numbers aren't the greatest, you want to make it,
you want to believe in him, you want to make that a legit offer,
and you see this here, from Dave Roberts, kind of saying,
surrounding the idea of Andy Pahez staying in the lineup against Chris Sale,
it won't be the final chance for him, so I'm going to continue to give him a leash,
and you know, kind of going back to that, it's not going to be the final opportunity,
so we'll see what goes from here, but you know, on top of Andy Pahez,
there's been a lot of discussion surrounding the bullpen,
and Edwin Diaz is seemingly earning a little bit more trust with this Dodgers team,
and you see here, Perk Cody Snavely, Diaz could become the primary closer,
and I know that's probably not what a lot of people want to hear, but once again,
it's Edwin Diaz, you have to give him a leash, you have to see where things can go,
Game 2 was the first steps towards it, and Dave Roberts still has not announced a permanent change just yet,
but it certainly is something to really consider and look at as we go deeper into this postseason,
and really what could be close to the tail end, and in Game 2, you know, it wasn't bad,
one scoreless outing, two strikeouts, a 108-mile-an-hour fastball, you know,
that's a good-looking Edwin Diaz that I can't really say we've seen with the Dodgers at all this season,
so that's a great start, I still wouldn't just put all the eggs in one basket on Edwin Diaz
being the closer right now for sure, but it certainly is a step in the right direction,
and folks, with Yamamoto on the mound tonight, there's a lot of things to really take a look at as the future comes with this.
Still feels great about Yamamoto versus Sale, Glasnow remains lined up for Game 4 and Game 3 tonight,
so we'll see what happens with Game 3, what happens tonight, we'll see if it actually is going to be titled Glasnow in Game 4,
and what could happen in the potential Game 5, and I want you guys to let me know down below
what you think about this, you know, what matters most, what is going to be the biggest impact here on this team,
is it going to be Otani and the line-up decisions, is it going to be Freddie Freeman's health and the Pothead's opportunity,
getting those guys ready, or could it be Edwin Diaz and the rotations, you know, that this team could have,
I really do think it's going to be the line-up decisions and Otani at A, so give me your thoughts down below,
but folks, that is all I have here at this point, if you did enjoy, give it a like, hit the sub button as well,
I am indeed signing out though, thank you for watching, hope you have a great day.
