That was a shocker I mean, it was a couple days before the season started you had the season ending injured reserve placement of him and You know, he's gonna be already too and I was excited I think there was a lot of things that he had really improved upon and although last year like it wasn't a crazy Year for him like it still was really solid now Javante thus far the season it just it hasn't really been it and I understand that you know time will tell and I think he's Gonna get better, but 71 rushing yards throughout the first two games. I know Javante is the main guy to look at but it's just the depth wise isn't there as well You think about what they've gotten with I'm already Mercado. It's nothing great Israel Abakananda is a guy who's now in the practice squad Tyler Goodson as a guy they sign but in and see him in week number two And I just think there's more to be gained from this running back room given what the offensive line could do And for Amari, it's three games 64 rushing yards last year or this year. I should say so I and that's all in preseason I think and so I'm just kind of waiting for what we can see I go two games five rushes 15 yards in this season So I'm still hopeful that we can kind of see a little bit from team Mercado But I think at this time there's a there's a way for the Cowboys to go out there and get a really really good back Now this back is a guy from the great state of Wisconsin not Texas and Nate Rice had the tweet Cowboys Please trade for Braylon out and I could not agree more Alan is a guy who coming out of the NFL draft a mobile of a fourth or fifth round pick out of Wisconsin He was kind of highly touted at least in my mind It's his third season in the NFL two games 48 yards and a touchdown thus far in 2026 but he said a guy who's had some flashes of greatness now. He's been in the league since 2024 that was his best year which he had a hundred and forty eight receiving yards and 334 rushing yards not to mention two rushing touchdowns and a receiving touchdown But you want to go back to what this guy was doing in college. It was otherworldly with what he could do in Wisconsin I mean, it's pretty solid what he was showing 3,000 almost 500 yards an average yards per carry of 5.9 and then 35 touchdowns. Are you kidding me plus a long of 96? I think that there is that talent still in him and I would love to have him in this backfield Now, I don't know who's gonna say well, they got Tyler Goodson. They signed him They're not gonna be out there and get up. I agree at the time when they signed Tyler Goodson. I was thinking okay Yeah, that's gonna be the guy they signed the running back room because Javante is gonna go off Javante It's gonna be the guy and we're gonna be in a very trustworthy spot Javante hasn't done that. He hasn't and I want to say that he's gonna get going I do But I can't have that faith for the entire season So we'll see what happens on Sunday versus the Ravens But should that not transpire? This has to be a thing that is considered and it's something that it's been kind of rumored around the league for a bit now It's I think a great one He's only 22 years old by the way like the fact that this guy's been in the league since 2040s two years younger than me like it's it's really really solid to see What he's been able to do and understand what he's capable of given what we've seen in his college ranks, you know, obviously NFL wise it's been a struggle bus from the special past two seasons. He's also been injured four games in 2025 He has just the two thus far this year So hopefully he can keep a healthy season and heck you think about what he's on pace for right now It's definitely better than 334. So I think it would be a very very good addition It would probably be a cheap addition and overall I do think that this is a guy who can add in to you know A really good running back group and he's cheap 1.2 million in 2026 1.3 million in 2027 I think that there's a lot to gain from this trade rather than a lot of risk And I do think that it would be a pretty cheap price I understand that you know, he's a quote-unquote decent guy for the Jets But I think that the Cowboys and them they've already made a trade once before it would be a pretty easy thing to strike Now I mentioned these two teams they've made trades before they made bigger trades before Quinn and Williams Obviously was the guy last year with the Jets and the Cowboys in that trade light But I still think Braylon Allen is actually a really solid back to have and I I just get concerned I do and and I want to give all the credit to Javante Williams and say that maybe it is the offensive line and that Tyler Smith without him on this line. It's struggling and it's tougher to put into the right spot But at the same time I also understand that this team they are in a position where You have to figure out the running game quickly And it can't just be because the offensive line is in a spot even if you know, Javante starts going you only have him I don't trust DeMar Cano. I just don't trust Dada Goodson I would trust Braylon Allen. I would he looks solid. He can get you into the end zone when you're getting close there He has these breakaway runs. I really am and it's no disrespect to Mardy Mercado or Tyler Goodson, but I just don't see them being influential backs throughout the season maybe I'm wrong to say that Braylon Allen would be an influential back throughout this season, but I Fully believe he would I do and I know the breakaway speed is there I know the capabilities he possesses and what he did in college is still in there and the average arts per carry is Solid in his college rings and they they didn't really leave him in a lot of ways I mean 3.7 isn't terrible in the NFL considering it's less than three yards per carry for Javante Williams at the moment So we're grabbing straws here, you know, that is what it is But let me know what you think obviously get your comment down in the comment section Do you believe that the Cowboys should trade for him for now guys?
