Welcome to the TMZ podcast.
Devin here with Courtney.
Hello.
Morning, morning everyone.
Yes.
Um, did you cut your hair?
Is that why you're wearing a hat?
No, do you remember it was blonde?
No, I, I tried to block it.
God, I haven't seen you wear a hat.
That's why it is weird.
And it's like not fully down.
So we can still see like the tips.
Oh, oh, I thought it looked like you shaved it.
Okay.
Just, just, just checking in on you.
Um, yeah, I got you, man.
Um, so Krista Pike, uh, huge update, uh, we got yesterday is that she's awake and talking,
uh, after surviving the failed execution last week.
So we will get into all that.
And then there is a lot going on still in this Cornell case.
Um, some of the fraternity brothers video got released of them talking to cops.
So we will play that.
Um, yeah, this was them talking to cops back in the day when the investigation was going down.
Um, also one of the fraternity brothers who's being sued and, and reinvestigated, I guess,
um, made some claims against the Jane Doe back in the day that were revealed.
Yeah.
And then if we have time, uh, Megan Kelly is being, is.
Megan Kelly.
Yeah, is being Megan Kelly.
And she is going after Olivia Rodrigo for her stance on the Cornell.
Yeah.
And she's also going after Jane Doe herself.
Yeah.
I didn't see, I didn't see that part, but you'll have to film me.
Oh, I will.
I am ready with it.
Megan Kelly.
I mean, we kind of know what to expect for Megan Kelly.
Yeah.
Um, so Krista Pike.
So like I said, awake and talking, um, survived the execution.
And, uh, you were saying her attorneys, right.
Are meeting with her this afternoon.
Yeah.
They're finally going to get to speak to her because remember earlier this week,
the attorney said he hasn't been able to be in the room yet or speak to her.
Obviously she was unconscious, but he wasn't even able to go.
So she's obviously still in critical condition, hospitalized in Nashville.
And I know, uh, her attorney have basically been calling for the death sentence to be commuted.
So, which yeah, the jail botched it, but it was like, she was sentenced to death.
And I'm they.
She was, but they just take a little bit of responsibility.
If you're going to execute someone, you gotta have your cards in order.
That.
And I think the, you know, obviously you look at this situation as a very cruel and traumatic.
I don't know.
I mean, I'm trying to be sensitive on this particular topic, but it's like,
she did a heinous crime.
She was sentenced to death.
Yes.
The jail completely messed this up.
So I think someone, whoever was in charge of this process needs to be reprimanded or fired.
Yeah.
But it was like, she was still sentenced to death.
She was.
And so, but this has made it so much more messy because now her prognosis is unclear.
She's been in the hospital for days.
Someone's going to have to pay for this.
But that's the other thing is now, even if she is eventually, if they, they redo the process,
it's like now the.
The people are paying for her hospital stay are going to pay to keep her alive.
They're probably paying for all her hospital bills.
Of course they are.
And it's like, I don't know.
It just seems like an, a lot of an incredible waste of taxpayer dollars.
But.
No, it does.
But the governor and the jail have to figure out how to handle this because it is not looking
good for either of them.
It just looks sloppy all over all around.
It's just like, I don't get how you mess something like this up.
I still can't wrap my mind.
No.
How you mess something like this.
She has severe arm damage.
Her lawyer was saying that they attempted seven times to put the IV into her left arm.
And that when they were trying on the right arm, the arm turned purple.
So it's like what was going on in that execution room that it was so misguided.
Yeah.
So I, I didn't see this, but, um, the governor, Bill Lee, um, as you would expect has paused
all executions through the end of this year.
This is actually the second one that they messed up.
Wait, what?
Yeah.
So apparently this was months after another botched execution of some guy named Tony Carruthers.
Was it also lethal injection?
I wonder.
Yeah.
Oh my goodness.
I don't know how you mess this up guys.
Twice.
I just like in today's day and age and where we are with science and everything.
Especially when there's already so much debate around, uh, already a very,
yeah.
Very contentious issue.
A lot of people think it shouldn't happen.
You know, there are people for it in certain instances, but,
but if you're going to do it, you better do it right.
Cause also that's just harming the other person and putting them like,
yeah.
I mean, it's basically you're torturing them.
Yeah.
Well, I mean, what else was he supposed to do?
He has to pause it.
She has to get better.
They can't put her on death row and make her go through this again when she's not like even
healed.
That just feels like inhumane.
Yeah.
Anyways.
Yeah.
The whole thing is wild.
Um, okay.
Um, we have not talked about Cornell yet.
Have we on this?
Yeah.
I feel like we have a lot about it.
Oh my God.
I have to talk about it so much.
I like forget what parts of my life I don't talk.
I mean, we talk about it all day long.
Um, so two of the fraternity brothers, um, two that were not accused of sexual assault.
They were not involved in the lawsuit.
Yeah.
They were just at the frat that night.
They were fraternity members.
I would imagine when they were investigating this whole thing, you, it's, it's obviously
easy to access who all is in the fraternity.
I'm sure they interviewed everyone that was either there or in the Snapchat group.
Yeah.
Or was, it was a part of the fraternity.
Um, so please, um, this video was leaked.
I don't know how, uh, ABC got, got a video.
I don't know if it was leaked, um, of interviews that took place with two of these, uh, uh,
frat bros, uh, and like I said, they weren't ones that are involved, but being interviewed
by cops.
So here is, uh, the, the clip.
What people were saying was that there was like multiple consenting adults in this room.
There was a consensual act that took place on and that's, it's, yeah, that's, that's
really what the general rumor I was going around was that there was a, yeah, it was
a consensual.
So that was a college kid.
I get it.
I'm like in college, I wouldn't have been like, oh, that was a sick consensual act last
night.
Right.
Like I guess where, how do they know it was consensual?
I mean, I can't recall exactly what was said, but yeah, I mean, they, they said that they
had sex with her.
I guess she was laying on the bed.
She was, I remember she was fully clothed.
I can't really remember who was in the room.
I just get worried because you know how it looks.
You're a brother.
I know.
Yeah.
And very clearly know what she's doing.
Right.
But can't remember who all was in there from your frat.
I mean, I didn't know exactly what she was doing.
No, I can't recall exactly everyone who was in there.
And like I said before, I don't want to make, I don't want to make assumptions based on
what I don't remember.
So you obviously have a take on this.
Well, yeah.
I also think it's funny that the investigator called them out and was like, uh, you understand
like, it's like I was in a frat, I was in college.
It's really weird that you guys are both using the word like consensual.
Like, that's like not how, like I would ever like describe like a situation.
Yeah.
Because we even heard last week that other students were talking about how the frat had
a meeting, how they were all going to get on the same page and how they initially were
just going to deny it, but then they had to change it.
And now they're all just going with consensual.
Yeah.
I mean, I think again, I wasn't there and no one was there except for the alleged victim
and obviously these guys, but I clearly think this was a case of this fraternity.
Obviously when she started calling around and the rumors started going around, got scared
and clearly they had some type of meeting or they all got together.
I don't know what you want to call it.
And they want, they got like, they wanted to make sure their story was straight.
I mean, that's what it looks like, but it's so true.
It's not like you would ever like as a college student refer to like, you would say, I think
they hooked up.
They had sex.
Yeah.
I heard it was a girl who was hooking up with a bunch of my fraternity brothers.
Yes.
But like the, just the verbiage of saying like consensual, it was a consensual encounter
or whatever they said.
It's like two consenting adult.
It's like, it's just not, it seems very like, like orchestrated and orchestrated.
I also think it's funny that the investigator also was like talking to one of the frat guys
and he was like, Oh yeah, like I was in the room.
I only saw her like on the bed.
I don't remember who was in the room.
And the investigators like, well, you remember what she was doing like pretty well, but you
don't remember who was in the room.
And he was like, you know, I, I don't want to make any assumptions.
Well, you're making assumptions that it was consensual.
I mean, that's just a friend or a fraternity brother, in my opinion, just not wanting to
like rap people out is how they look at it.
And it's like, but you're writing up this girl.
And I will say one of the fraternity brothers thought something was dirty because he took
screenshots of the frat conversation and sent it to her.
So one person was like, something's off here.
They're doing something messy.
For sure.
I want to like help us out.
I know she's trying to gather information of what happened.
Let me help her.
No, for sure.
And again, I just want to say that like these two guys were not investigated.
The ones that they, they blurred their faces.
They were just members of the fraternity who were questioned by police.
It was like how like her roommates were questioned.
Other sorority girls that were, they were questioned.
They were just investigated.
Right.
And I mean, we did, a lot of people have criticized the original investigation,
but it does look like cops at least.
I mean, I have a lot of questions, especially surrounding why the full case file was not
sent to the DA and only a summary.
But that's funny because originally Cornell was like, we did some entire case file
and then they backtracked it.
Yeah.
It's like, I mean, the DA went on the record and said all he got was the summary.
Yes.
But then Cornell was like, no, no, we gave everything over.
And then like a few days later, they changed it.
It's like, everyone's changing their story a little bit here.
For sure.
It's just super messy.
Very.
And then of course, Megyn Kelly.
Yeah.
You want to do Megyn Kelly instead of the, the sodomy?
The sodomy is, we can.
The sodomy, we'll just touch on it very briefly.
So Matthew Ingalls, he is one of the accused fraternity.
He was the one that like, she was originally friends with, it seemed like, or was interested
in.
Apparently he told during the investigation.
In February.
He told them that he was sodomized while incapacitated.
And basically was accusing the university of ignoring him as a sexual assault survivor,
which is just like, what the hell are we talking about here?
You were saying this after, because you were telling her on the phone, like
you apologized to her the next day.
You texted her the next day.
Sorry about how everything was handled and how it went down yesterday.
So this was in February, an email that was sent up.
This was a part of the title nine office investigation.
So these were documents from that.
Yes.
And I know she also sent text messages the other day.
So you can be like, well, she did the same thing that he did.
She said it was all this.
And like, you can have like that an entire debate.
You can debate this a thousand different ways.
It is.
I don't know.
I mean, it's one thing to defend yourself and say, you know, this was consensual.
But then when you try to play the victim card as a guy that was involved in like
the very least, like an orgy.
That apparently asked for the three way.
And you were also one of the guys in the Snapchat was like,
you can just walk in and whip it out.
You can literally just do that.
What are you talking about?
Yeah.
He was the one because I went back and look at today.
So I could have that in my little pocket.
No, for sure.
And it also wrote like, I ******* love Kai-fi after someone wrote the free.
Gross.
Yes.
But Megyn Kelly was ripping into Olivia Rodrigo.
Olivia Rodrigo is obviously always very outspoken on certain issues.
And she's, you know, you know, obviously jumped into this narrative.
But like the debate or whatever.
Yes.
She's very obviously pro the victim in this Cornell rape situation.
And Megyn Kelly, are we going to play the clip?
Oh, yeah, we got the clip.
Is Megyn talking about Olivia's stances on this whole thing?
And to top it all off, she posted a story, Olivia did,
about a Columbia University student who went to class carrying a mattress on her back,
claiming she had been raped on the mattress.
But that story is years old.
And her alleged rapist was found not responsible by the woke
left leaning university that was dying to affirm the findings of rape, but couldn't.
And then the woke leftist DA in New York declined to bring charges.
Olivia, in sum, you don't know what the **** you're talking about.
Shut up and stick to singing.
I like you better when you were in front of a microphone
singing your weird little depressing songs.
Shut up.
You don't know what you're talking about.
It's better to keep your mouth shut and let people suspect you're an idiot
than to open it and prove them right.
Ever hear that saying?
It applies to you, sweetheart.
Be quiet.
Go away.
See you at the concert.
Got it?
It's just, it's amazing.
Adults are talking, okay?
Take your seat.
We don't need the participation of know-nothing morons who have been auto-tuned into fame
and suddenly think they have something profound to say on the culture wars.
Sit down and be quiet.
Got it?
Or I'm going to have to start pulling your music and your lyrics
and take a deep dive into exactly the kind of messaging
that you are pushing on young women
because I guarantee it's not going to end well for you, Olivia.
Be quiet.
The adults are talking.
Yes, I mean, this is just Megyn Kelly basically doing the shut up and dribble thing
except like, you know, you're a singer.
Don't have an opinion about anything.
Stick to your music, which is ridiculous.
Yeah, she also went on in her interview and said
Jade Jo probably may have even liked it because she's a little bit beefy and has kinkles.
So honestly, like, screw her.
That is just very unnecessary.
And unfortunately, these people have huge audiences
and Olivia Rodrigo can really say whatever she wants.
Yeah, you say whatever you want, Megyn Kelly.
Yeah, you have a big audience as well.
Yeah.
Okay, guys.
All right.
We will see you guys tomorrow.
Bye!
