The Bengals make three major moves in one day to make a statement cutting this player after a costly mistake Sunday and sign two familiar faces to fill the gaps in their roster.
We've got a lot to dive into today. A lot happened for the Bengals today.
So we got a lot to get into. So stick around until the very end of the video because we're going to bring all of it to you guys.
But thank you guys for joining us here today on Bengals Digest. I'm your host Adam Mignogni and we appreciate you joining in wherever you may be.
We're still reeling off that loss from Sunday's game and obviously, namely the big mistake from wide receiver Keyshawn Williams with a big fumble that pretty much cost them the game.
They probably shouldn't have been in that situation to begin with. But for the sake of today's video, we're going to be talking about this mistake and how it cost him.
So we did get word today from Jeremy Fowler ESPN that the Bengals have released wide receiver kick returner Keyshawn Williams.
Per source, Williams muffed a punt late in Sunday's loss to the Steelers.
I apologize for bringing you guys one a little bit late today. Had a little bit of a busy day, but it gets tired as you go on through the week.
That's one of the things I've noticed about getting older is that my energy is just not always there.
My focus isn't always there. It's just not what it used to be.
But it's a decline that is so gradual that you really don't even notice it until it's too late.
And that right there is exactly where Mars Men comes in today's video.
So Mars Men uses clinically dosed ingredients like vitamin D, zinc, boron, and a few others to naturally support testosterone, energy, and your stamina.

It really does help out the channel a ton so you can show us support in that way.
So we dive in a little bit more today going into some of the things that they're doing in lieu of this cut that they just had.
So the way that the wide receiver room looks right now.
Obviously, we know the news about Colby Young and Yoshivas.
Both of those guys are going to be out for this week's game.
Colby Young is going to be out for the foreseeable future.
We don't know how long he's going to be out for.
But Yoshivas is on IR.
And so now you see a new but sort of familiar name there on the roster.
And that is a return of wide receiver Mitch Tinsley coming to you from Adam Schefter.
Bengals are signing Mitch Tinsley off the Texans practice squad and onto their active roster.
Tinsley was in Cincinnati's camp this summer but signed with Houston's practice squad.
And now he is back.
I actually talked about this in yesterday's video talking about what they're going to do at wide receiver with Colby Young getting hurt.
And I brought up Mitch Tinsley and a comment let me know that he was even on the Texans practice squad.
I somehow missed that news entirely.
But I was like, oh, good catch.
I didn't notice that.
But he was just on the practice squad.
They're able to bring him in.
And this is a guy that's familiar.
I see him honestly coming in this week and making an immediate impact getting some reps.
He knows this offense.
He was with them this offseason.
And he's a guy who has shown flashes of being a good receiver.
And I don't know if they're going to use him in the return game.
I do think that's probably still going to be on kind of Dante Myers to kind of fill in for.
We're going to have to see how it shakes out for this week.
But definitely an addition to the team that is really going to help out in the absence of these injured players
and the recent cut of Keyshawn Williams.
So, you know, in the absence of Yoshi, Russell Haldeman puts it this way.
The addition helps re-solidify the Bengals wide receiver hierarchy
while Yoshivas recovers from finger surgery over the next month.
Add in the injury to Colby Young this past Sunday and Cincinnati needed to make a move.
Zach Taylor said Young is not expected to play this week due to the injury he suffered in Sunday's game.
So, brutal blow to lose Colby Young.
I was really excited, especially with the absence of Keyshawn Williams,
getting some more involvement in this offense.
I do think that is in the future.
He is only a rookie, but brutal to see him go down, you know, this early in his career.
Hopefully, speedy recovery for him and all of that.
Another signing that they actually added as well,
and I'm kind of going to group this one in with the, you know,
absence of Keyshawn Williams, Colby Young, and Yoshivas,
is another familiar face coming off the practice squad.
They signed him to the active roster today, and that is Tanner Hudson.
Now, he is a tight end, and I understand that,
and the way that that shakes out the depth chart for the tight end room,
it's pretty standard.
Drew Sample there at the starter.
Mike Gusecki playing a lot of slot.
He's definitely the receiving tight end of those two.
And then Eric Hall, I'm hoping to get more involved.
And Tanner Hudson kind of adds that fourth option.
Probably going to be seeing him in more jumbo sets, used in the run a little bit.
He does have some pass-catching ability,
but probably not as much as some of the guys higher on the list.
I do think this is more of an insurance kind of signing,
but I like to see it nonetheless, and I do think that it is a good signing.
Now, altogether, I think what this means for the Bengals is,
I think it just goes to show that Zach Taylor in this front office
is not messing around this season.
I think in the past, we've seen players make mistakes
and kind of get second chance, third chance, fourth chance,
over and over again.
You know, a lot of people, top of mind,
is going to talk about Yoshi last year with all the drops that he had,
and I'm not saying Yoshi would get cut if he were to drop the ball again.
I'm not saying it's a complete revamp,
but I do think that they're making a statement to this wide receiver room
that, hey, if you are not being productive in a positive way,
you're going to be kicked to the curb,
and we're going to move on with someone who is going to help out our team,
someone who knows the play,
someone who is willing to step up in these situations.
Stings a little bit extra with Keyshawn Williams
actually playing his former team in the Steelers,
and we know in Cincinnati how important the game is versus the Steelers,
so to have a costly mistake like that, it's unfortunate,
but this is business, and it's the business of the NFL,
and I just think that it goes to show
that they really are not messing around.
They're going to hold the players accountable,
and it just feels different this year when they've been very clear,
like Zach Taylor has come out and said,
Joe Burrow has come out and said,
Jamar Chase, Dexter Lawrence, the list goes on.
These leaders of the team are coming out and saying,
hey, we have our eyes set on the prize.
I mean, every team does,
but we think we are in position to win it all this year,
and it's moves like this that make me feel a little bit more confident
to back up what they're saying.
Now, we're going to see as the season progresses
if their play supports that.
Up to this point, brutal loss Sunday, but I do think it has,
and I do think they're still a top ten, top five even team in the NFL,
and I think they're a force to be reckoned with,
and signings like this really just prove my point there.
So let me know what you guys think of these signings
and the cut down below.
Do you think they should have given Williams another chance,
or do you think it was his time to go after that mistake?
Let me know down in the comments what you think.
You guys have a great rest of your day.
Thank you for joining us here on Bengal Side Jest.
