Browns vs. Saints: Sanders Starts With Watson Out in New Orleans

The Cleveland Browns have been a good team all season long,
and their record is solid, too.
But today, they're a little bit up against it
because Deshaun Watson is out, and Shador Sanders will start.
He's in New Orleans, going up against the Saints.
As it stands right now, the Saints are a very slight favorite.
Three-point favorites today, a total of 42.5.
We're approaching a range, Joe, for the Saints.
That they, I believe, have one of the worst records
in the NFL over the last two and a half years.
I don't know how or when the turnaround begins for the Saints.
I thought Chuck looked pretty good last year,
and I thought things would sort of turn the corner for them.
It's also kind of strange where the Saints
are in this Tennessee category,
where they don't get talked about a lot anymore in the NFL,
just because we just assume that they're not very good.
But with a quarterback change there and Sanders coming in,
I don't know if there's a big disparity.
The oddsmakers are telling us it's at least two
or three points because I suppose Cleveland having
a better record than the Saints, playing better than the Saints,
they wouldn't be three-point favorites with Watson.
So this is a tough game for me to call.
Usually when the backup is in and I haven't seen him,
I'm usually going to move on to something else.
Yeah. Well, let's start with Shedeur Sanders.
And again, I don't like to invest in things that
have question marks, right?
I like to kind of have at least a feel for what's going on. And
we don't have a feel for Shedeur Sanders
in this current iteration of the offense with
the Cleveland Browns, right? We saw him last year.
That was a different regime, different OC,
different pieces. I think theoretically going back
to Harold Fannin, who was off the injury
report on Friday, that's something you saw
Shedeur Sanders like to lean on because he is
a guy that's going to look to get rid of the football quickly.
Make some accurate throws.
He's not a big deep ball guy, right?
So Denzel Boston probably doesn't fit very well
into Shedeur Sanders in theory.
Casey Concepcion does.
So I think Concepcion and Fannin
are two pieces to watch today
if you want to be involved with them
in terms of investment on some of their overs
and some of their props,
but also from a fantasy perspective too.
If you're looking to stream some guys,
Fannin and Casey Concepcion, I think,
have a lot of theoretical value today.
And then when you look over at the Saints,
You know, I'm with you.
I did think that the Saints last year with Shuck really made progress,
and I thought they were my worst to first team,
that they were going to come back around.
And the one thing they have got going for them
is this division is still not great, right?
So if you should somehow come out with a victory at home
against Shedeur Sanders and the Cleveland Browns,
you've still got two games against the
Carolina Panthers left on your schedule.
You've got another game in the last week
of the season against Tampa Bay.
I don't know if a winning record is going
to win this division necessarily.
You could still be a losing record possibly
and end up winning this division. I mean,
Carolina is going in the wrong direction too.
I mean, that's been a problem here in the NFC South.
Their offensive line has been dreadful
lately and too many injuries. So
Look, New Orleans also made a weird move.
They dropped Kendre Miller from the roster this
weekend. Aldrick Estevila like their run game really,
I think has been the undoing.
They thought Travis Hancher was gonna be the answer to that problem.
And clearly it has not been what
they hoped it would be this year for him.
