All right. I thought I had a grip on the Eagles last week.
That was my worst pick here on the show of the season.
Not particularly close. And I thought Tanner McKee could potentially
be a starting quarterback for the Eagles.
But they have thrown in the towel on him,
at least for now, because basically McKee can't move.
He's a big quarterback that throws the ball deep, Joe.
But without Lane Johnson and a good offensive line and no receivers,
he is just sitting back there and getting absolutely pummeled.
So what did the Eagles decide to do?
They decided, well, this Joe Milton, probably not as good as McKee.
But at least the guy can move around a little bit.
Maybe he gives us a better chance.
The Giants are three-point favorites at Philadelphia.
You know.
Certainly this game could go any way possible.
Also, the division in this one could be 8-9, 9-8 in order to win.
Giants are the heavy favorite now to win.
Why? I'm not even sure.
They probably are the best team in the division.
And I suspect the Giants should win this game today.
But again, I don't know if Joe Milton throws for 402 touchdowns.
I don't want to look back and say I should have seen that coming.
So get me to the next game here.
Well, I don't know about 402 touchdowns.
What I do know is that outside of last week, the Eagles have
at least been competitive in the games against Carolina
and Dallas since losing Jalen Hurts
last week, obviously against Washington.
Not so good now against New York Giants this week,
Giants coming off a bye,
but they're without Cam Scarbrough in this game.
So Devin Singletary will get elevated in terms of his role.
I like Malik Nabers to score a touchdown
in this game. Plus 185. I think it's a really good return on him.
And I think Joe Milton,
The one thing is you.
Kind of touched on a little bit there
was the rushing ability that he has and kind of getting back
to a little bit more athletic quarterback stance
for the Philadelphia Eagles, which is how this offense is built over 22
and a half rushing yards for Joe Milton, I think is definitely in play.
I think Makai Lemon is another guy you have to lean on.
We'll see if he can get Lemon and Goddard going if he can.
I think the Eagles have a puncher's chance in this game.
I don't like the sides of this one. Again, so many backup quarterbacks,
so difficult to tell what you're going to get from them.
But Joe Milton is playing as a showcase now.
If he plays well in this game and they should win against the Giants,
it will be his job the rest of the year, my guess is.
And if he performs very well, there might
be some teams looking at him next year
to bring him in as a competition.
