Maribel, I asked if we could cancel
the Pet of the Week segment because...
I kind of want her.
This is Raisin.
She's so cute.
Maribel Oriano with Pflugerville Animal Welfare Services joins us.
We think she's about 10 years old.
We do.
And she was a stray?
She was a stray.
She was running around Pflugerville, you know, owning it.
Owning it?
Owning it.
Tell us what we know about her.
She's so chill.
Yeah, she's the chillest of dogs.
She's about 10 years old.
For a 10-year-old, she is pretty active.
We have her in our office because we don't want her in the kennels.
And she is telling us what to do, bossing us around, going up and down.
You know, she's she doesn't act like a 10 year old dog.
She's great.
Yeah.
So and I asked you how you could tell.
You said her teeth usually what our techs look at.
We aged her at eight initially and then we looked at her teeth.
She does need a dental,
but our nonprofit friends of Pflugerville Animal Shelter will
pay for that.
Do you think I should take her home?
I think she fits fits you well.
Raisin, you're so sweet, but look at you like to go on walks.
She active.
She loves to go on walks, she does like going on walks,
it takes her a while to actually
lay down and take a nap, but if you're not,
she likes to be carried too, our people at
the office carry her around the office,
because she wants to see what everyone's seeing.
Okay, so would she-
Her little leash is not on, is she good with other dogs?
She is, she likes to hang out with the other dogs at the shelter.
Our director has a little dog and they go and they play around.
The little dog's like one and she's ten and you don't know who's who.
My God.
She's great, she's good with other dogs.
We haven't said she's a Yorkie.
She's a Yorkie mix, yeah.
Okay, just, I'm in love with her.
What's happening at the shelter coming up?
We don't have any events going on.
We have, well, fallen in love with, you know, whatever dog we have, and we post.
We post it on our social media,
but there's nothing much going on other than we're open
every day except for Wednesdays, 11 to 5, come find.
Raisin, or if you don't keep her, you know, other dogs that we have.
Sorry, she's gone.
So tell me if my husband approves, can people donate?
I know it's about to get colder, especially next week.
It's gonna be high in the 60s.
Do you need blankets and sheets and towels and stuff like that?
Yeah, towels, blankets, we will never say no to.
I think puppy food and kitten season came to us late.
So kitten food right now is a big need.
So if you're looking to donate, we're looking to
Take in.
Okay, there's a website on your screen
if you would like to adopt Raisin or
another dog.
We'll see what happens.
She's so sweet.
Yeah, she's a sweetheart.
She's the cutest of kings.
Bringing her in.
You're welcome.
We love you Raisin.
We'll be right back.
