If you have any outdoor plans,
you might need to, you know, bundle up during portions of the weekend as it
is getting a little more seasonal, but looking pretty good.
Now, we're starting off with a live look
at our Kenosha cam this morning, looking fairly calm.
Those puddles from yesterday have dried up.
It is a cooler start today yet again. Yesterday had a bit of a chill.
Today, in some cases, is literally frozen.
32 right now at Fond du Lac and at Beaver Dam.
We've got 34 at Waukesha, 37 in Milwaukee, and that's a good 10,
15, 16 degrees colder than it was yesterday.
It was yesterday morning at this time.
We've had pretty clear skies through the last several hours.
We're behind yesterday's cold front.
High pressure is building in from the north
with all this colder, drier air.
Our air temperature, 37,
certainly a little warmer than what they have up in Duluth.
And the dew points fall in that direction as well.
And that's going to keep us dry as we head into the weekend.
As I said, a really nice one for anything you want to do outside,
as long as you prep for some cooler air.
It does start warming up as soon as Sunday.
The high-pressure ridge moves to the east,
the warm front pushes north of us,
and we start to turn this around pretty quickly.
So let's go check it out on Sky Vision Plus.
Now short term, lots of sunshine early. We do get a few more clouds
in here through the afternoon and into the evening,
but we stay dry through the 24 hour period from the Fox weather model.
Again, you see some of the clouds this afternoon,
but drying up nicely and staying dry heading into the weekend.
Now if you have travel plans this weekend, again,
it will be a little chillier again tonight and Saturday morning.
By Saturday afternoon,
we're already starting to return to more seasonal type numbers
and we keep that warming trend going heading into our Sunday.
For another dry day, really nice first fall weekend here in November.
Looking spectacular both days.
Staying dry heading into our Monday in our neck of the woods.
If you're staying up north a little longer,
You do see a few sprinkles in the far north, but that's about it.
Now, as far as the numbers go today.
We're going to climb up into the mid 40s, 44, 46,
maybe we touch 48, and then we drop back down into the upper 20s
and low 30s overnight tonight into tomorrow morning.
I expect a widespread freeze tonight into tomorrow morning.
If you still have some decorative plants, hanging baskets,
anything outside that's living and can't handle the cold.
might want to protect that or bring it into the garage for the night.
So our forecast high about 48, low 28.
That's below the averages there,
as you can tell from the climate normals of 52 and 37.
And obviously the records are going to stand for another year.
We're not going to get as cold as they were back in 1877.
Happy to report.
Now, the turnaround, like I said,
does start as soon as Saturday afternoon.
It keeps things warming up heading into Sunday, Monday.
It looks like that 8 to 14 day trend still has most
of the country, in fact.
Most of the lower 48 is covering that above average range
in all of our area right through to the 19th.
So our Fox 6 Day Planner starts off here at 48,
gets to 50 tomorrow, 58 on Sunday,
into the low 60s by Monday and Tuesday,
mid-50s as we look ahead to Wednesday.
