First and foremost I want to say thank you to America.
I want to say thank you to Milwaukee,
Wisconsin for voting for our newly elected officials.
We now have the ability to speak to
the new elect Governor Qualley
which we congratulate him on his new position. As everyone
has been celebrating the fact that we will hopefully have
the end of what we call the great
Great divide.
People said they would make America great again
and all we saw was great division.
We now are at a point where we hope
that we can become better and greater.
But during that time that everyone was celebrating,
Miss Scarborough continued to mourn, victims continued to mourn.
And on Friday,
they found additional remains of Shadé Robinson that washed ashore.
They located her jawline and a few of her teeth.
There are still remains of her that are missing.
Ms. Scarborough is now asking people
if they walk the shorelines of anywhere
between Waukegan to Cudahy,
which is where the current remains are located, we're in Cudahy.
If you're walking those shorelines to keep
an eye open to make sure that you don't miss,
and if you can hopefully return home
the remaining parts of Ms. Robinson.
We believe that because of the weather changes
and the things that are going on with our shoreline and the heavy waves
that we've had recently, that things are starting to wash ashore.
And if you are walking those shorelines,
there will be another search party that is going to go out
to try to see if they can find additional remains.
So if you can and if you are out there, please don't touch them.
Don't hesitate to call the police to have them actually collect it
so the coroner's office can bring them home.
In addition to that, Shadé's voice.
Is putting together policies
and things that they would like to implement and they'd like
to sit down with the new governor-elect Crowley to discuss.
Now that we have a new cabinet, we believe that some of these abilities
and decisions can be properly made to move the needle forward,
not just for Miss Robinson, not just for Miss Scarborough,
but for all of our community.
Because as I've talked to multiple victims throughout this country
and throughout this city, we have found that
They are not being...
We appreciate it and handled with the respect
that they believe that they deserve or with the aftercare.
So once the media is gone, once the case is over, who's giving them
the comfort and the need and the therapy that they deserve?
There should be funding for that.
There should be funding that helps them get back
on their feet emotionally, mentally,
and to deal with the issues that they are about to face.
As a result of that, I think we are in a great position now
in our nation to move those needles forward for everyone.
And we'll let Ms. Scarborough speak.
First off, again,
congratulations to our new elect.
Congratulations to the brew crew.
I know there's been a lot of excitement in the Milwaukee.
But I still continue to have to deal
with the wicked Wisconsin layers that have been ongoing.
Again, this has been traumatic.
We want my baby's crown. I still don't have my baby's crown.
My beautiful angel baby. Please
continue to say all of the names of all
of our missing and our murdered BIPOC.
All individuals,
but there's been a lot of outreach and a lot of other crime victims
too in the community.
There are a lot of unsolved cases and cold cases and things going on,
but I respectfully
am thanking the entire community.
Thank you.
You all have been the reason why Sade's case has
been able to progress as it has.
Shaday has
Solved her own case.
She has spiritually guided us in every direction
and it's individuals and the light workers like you all
in the community that keep coming across my baby,
her remains and I respectfully thank the individual
who was out on the beach, beach lines
and came across these remains and they reached out to the
I, um...
The law enforcement, and thankfully, this was,
sorry, can you turn it off for me, please?
Yeah, I'm sorry, but thankfully, it was notified
to the ME, and I strongly encourage all families
to make sure that you are doing
your routine six-month dental checkups with your kids.
As parents, pay attention to your kids. Be their voice.
Do your own planning, care for your own family
and be your own advocate. The dental records have
been detrimental and began to identify
Okay.
validate that these were my baby's remains.
This is 31 months later and she
Sade is still continuing to solve her own case.
These are the type of daughters that I have raised.
This has been very traumatic.
But I continue to ask the community if you're out walking your dogs,
if you happen to be again on the
The shorelines anywhere from where
my baby's remains have been recovered.
I strongly feel that she,
I wanna be able to have
her crowned, okay?
That there's no, I would not put no other family wish this on anybody.
What we're going through with my parents, with the rest of my family,
my youngest daughter, the freshman at college.
Please respectfully do not outreach
or inbox any of my family.
I am the point of contact they are dealing with a lot.
My daughter is
My youngest daughter, she's at school,
please do not disturb her peace, no media, no new stuff,
everything goes directly to the foundation,
Sade's Voice Foundation or myself.
Respectfully, I'm requesting of that.
And my Sade's Voice Angels, my niece, Kiki,
She's loved all on the social media.
You can direct outreach her and follow our pages.
We're gonna be putting together our,
You know, they.
they have been the main reason and led,
Kiki has led all of the search parties since day one.
And again, her, the team and the community,
you all have been finding my baby
and I wholeheartedly, I thank you guys.
I thank the people who have said something when they've seen something.
That's how we as a community moving forward.
The law enforcement can't do it all on their own.
But there's gotta be transparency and accountability and
the communication and the layers throughout the entire trial.
We were not given any type of respect with media.
Accessing records before we could even walk out the courthouse.
Things were not sealed properly.
It's really, uh, there.
It was very disrespectful.
There were things put on, you know,
from people in Waukegan, aldermen,
you know, exposing things, Keith, on their media pages.
Just so many layers of disrespect to a crime victim's family.
So, just...
We will, um...
Moved by the weather so more than likely I believe they're going
to be doing their own search Sunday. I don't want to put any dates.
This isn't a one day thing. This is just ongoing.
So I'm just asking anybody in the community if you
are on the beach line, if you notice something, if you see something.
We're still needing my baby, her crown and her head.
It can be under the rock. It can be. I'm praying on Bruce's legacy.
I respectfully want to give them a shout out.
I have been trying to contact Keith.
They were the only nonprofit that did come up earlier.
So if Bruce's legacy, if they can get in contact
with Shade's Voice Foundation and possibly do another.
Solar radar equipment that he has,
but I thank you all in the community for your support.
And just the goal is to do the search on Sunday.
The issue is gonna be whether the weather holds up, so we can do it.
But as long as the weather is good, the plan is to do it on Sunday.
And thank Milwaukee Parks Foundation and
Guy Smith and Becky, they have been ongoing,
very supportive with supporting
The foundation with the search and.
And we thank you all for coming out as well.
Yes.
Yes.
Sunday around what time and where specifically?
Yeah, we'll post something on the foundation page.
And we'll send it all to you as well.
Yeah.
Do you want law enforcement to be involved with that search as well?
Or is this all- This is just a family-
It's a community more search.
A community.
The-
Typically, once cases are closed,
law enforcement doesn't do a lot of involvement because it's...
Not necessarily a good use of resources.
We have limited resources, and therefore we have to rely on ourselves
and the community at times to do certain things.
Um, you know,
The politicians and whatnot,
they put resources towards capturing criminals
and not necessarily always towards making a person whole.
And so that's part of the reason that we're
talking about the legislation issue of this,
is that there should be more done to make a person whole
after that person has already been incarcerated.
I think that's what will lead.
Just having less of a cycle of violence.
If you've ever studied the cycle of violence,
one of the things that they talk about
is people who witness violence and people
who are engaged in violence or have violence happen to them.
Many times in their families, some will become violent.
Part of the way that you diffuse
that is by putting more resources in the aftermath to families.
When you got that call Friday, what went through your mind?
It's like where
I never get.
The wounds are constantly reopened for me daily.
I'm trying to protect my family.
My youngest is, you know, a Harvard freshman.
Throughout all of this, you know, I am so
I'm trying to stay focused because I still have another child
that I'm responsible for and the barriers, my disabilities.
I haven't been to work. There's so many things
and challenges that crime victim families have ongoing and our mental
And we had court on Tuesday, I believe it was, last week.
And Mr. Anderson made a comment that new evidence had been found.
And we were all puzzled, including the judge.
New evidence was found.
How is that possible?
We haven't been notified of anything.
And then all of a sudden on Friday,
we get a phone call that this was located on Friday.
So I don't know still what Mr. Anderson was referring
to as far as new evidence was found on Tuesday.
But we're still waiting to hear that as well.
We're having a hearing on Tuesday, I mean, this isn't everyday.
It's an everyday, yes.
This is triggering
and then, you know, in July there was a burglary of my storage unit.
And then there was a vandalism
at Pizza Shuttle at her mural.
There's just been a lot of ongoing things
that the community has been seeing.
And I thank all of you for capturing and notifying.
I'm not sure if the media saw the video
of the person that did the vandalism, but
it's on Facebook.
If you want a copy of it, we can send it to you.
But because we would be interested
if anyone in the community knows who that
person is, so they can be properly prosecuted.
They destroyed the mural,
they destroyed all of the candles that were present.
They bashed everything that was present and then they just stormed off.
And luckily a community member saw it and they recorded it.
Could you tell me just a little bit more about what you know about
where the most recent remains were found?
It was near Warnham Park on the beach,
I'm going to teach, um...
washed up on the shoreline.
It was on top of a stone from what we understand.
They were still attached to, it's a jawline piece,
so it's the piece, this part of your jawline.
And who found it?
It was just a pedestrian. We did not get the person's name.
Yeah, and I thank them.
My, you know, I...
Request it if, you know, if they see this,
if you can reach out, you know, personally,
if you like, I really, I thank each and every person.
I have not met any of the people that testified during the trial and,
you know, on the documentaries that you see.
I have not personally met any of them,
but I want to thank each and every one of them.
Everybody who testified, everybody who's been,
the eyes, the Flock cameras,
the up the seat, that's another issue.
But these cameras and these buses and all of this stuff,
Shade solved her own case, and she led us to each location.
She spiritually kept her phone charged and pings it and we moved quick.
And, you know.
We did everything, we cooperated with the law enforcement.
We are a team, but we want to find victims
to be able to feel comfortable with
law enforcement and work together as we all need to.
And we also acknowledge the fact that the people
who locate these remains will have their own levels of trauma
and attack on their own souls when they see these types of things.
You know, when you're walking your dog,
that's not what you expect to see.
When you're taking a jog, that's not what you expect to see,
and no one should have to see that.
So when we say that we want crime victims to get therapy
and to get help, we mean those types of people as well.
Tina, do you want the water for the students?
Yes, I do. I have outreached Bruce's legacy.
I believe I may be getting closer to
a contact with him and thankfully to the Milwaukee Parks Foundation.
Becky, there was a anonymous donations
that I can help Bruce to get down here as needed.
Nonprofits, you know, they don't move off of air.
There's donations and grants and
The Shade's Voice Foundation itself, we don't have ongoing funding.
I have not gotten to that yet.
Anybody in the community that is retired, law enforcement, counselors,
attorneys, or anybody that's open
to wanting to volunteer, college interns,
or anyone that are open to this, this is very traumatic type of.
And Jamie, oh my gosh, one of my best teachers here,
there's so many, Kiki, Shondy, Kenny, thank you guys,
Marper, everybody, the community, we appreciate it, yes.
Thank you.
And just once again, if we get a chance to,
we'd love to sit down with any other politicians,
the governor, the governor-elect, the mayor,
any other politicians that are willing to
hear out the laws that we have written
and drafted that we'd like to try to get implemented.
Shade's laws, yeah.
Thank you guys so much.
Thank you.
In case we're not the ones who put this together,
can you say it's all your first and last name, of course?
Oh, yes, yes, yes, yes.
We got your sheet now.
Yeah.
Verona Swanigan, the attorney on behalf of the Sade Robinson Estate.
V-E-R-O-N-A.
Last name is S-W-A-N-I-G-A-N.
Thank you guys so much.
