Road Trip: Long Table Studio

If you're feeling creative and looking for something fun to do, you can sign up for a craft club with Long Table Studio. Long Table Studio is a currently wandering art space that's here in Riverdale in the Bronx. We currently host monthly craft nights. The reason that we call it Craft Club is because there's no pressure, right? We want everyone to feel welcome to come in and create something. We provide the materials, we provide the guidance, we provide the support ongoing throughout, so it really provides an entryway for anyone who is excited and interested about creating. We currently are hosting monthly adult craft clubs at On Bill Bach Cafe. Our goal is to give people the tools to explore and feel confident in using different materials. We believe it's so important to make things with your hands, to feel comfortable making a mess. We wanted a space that someone could come in, make something with their own hands, and leave feeling kind of refreshed and part of the community. We've done cyanotypes, we've done vision boarding and collage nights, we try and do something new every month. The easiest way to find us is on Instagram. It's Long Table Studio on Instagram and on TikTok. The classes are open to all experience levels, and you can see what craft they'll be making and book a spot on their website. It's a little unusual nowadays to make something with your hands. There's no chance that a lantern decoupage is going to be AI at the end of the day. So it's kind of nice to be in a room with other people and walk away with something that you physically made.
