Why the Jaguars Might Be Better Than the Chiefs and Bills Right Now
Nov 5, 2026
We're not talking enough about the Jacksonville Jaguars
because this is a legitimate Super Bowl
contender that no one's really mentioning.
Yes, they don't have the brand recognition in the AFC
as the Chiefs or the Bills, but they might
be better than both of those teams with how they're
winning right now. You start with point differential.
The Jags lead the NFL in point
differential and it's not particularly close.
They're plus 85 on the season. Second best in
the NFL is the 49ers at plus 58, a 27 point difference.
But it's how the Jags are doing it
that makes it so impressive.
They have the third most efficient offense in the NFL by
But they also have the third most efficient defense
in the NFL by EPA per play allowed.
That means that they are getting it done on both sides of the ball.
No other team ranks inside the top three in both of those categories.
The fact that the Jags are doing this, it makes perfect sense.
Liam Cohen and Trevor Lawrence, they look like they're a hive mind.
The cast of weapons in Jacksonville is so diverse that there's
not just one guy that you can stop and they can't keep on beating you.
On the defensive side of the ball,
you have Travis Hunter coming into his own.
You have a front seven that I really trust with
multiple pass rushers that can wreak havoc in the backfield,
and this team just seems constructed to where they don't have
a glaring weakness, and if they make a move at the trade deadline,
that becomes even more so the case.
This Jags team looks completely dangerous, and I don't think
they're being taken seriously nearly enough by the general public.
