Which Players Are Jets Fans MOST Excited to Watch in 2026??

I asked you guys, Jets fans, who is the player you are most excited to watch this season and these were the responses that you sent in via our free subtext text community. If you want to learn more about how to join that, stay tuned to the end of this video. But for now, let's get into it. The two answers that were very clearly the most common responses I got, one on defense and one on offense. On defense, it was rookie number two overall pick David Bailey. And on offense, it was this guy right here, wide receiver Adonai Mitchell. And I'm right there with you guys. I feel you. Man, I traded for the guy in Dynasty. I am a true believer in the Adonai Mitchell breakout season, whether it's the Geno Smith connection, which we've seen on display both in the spring and the summer, or I made a whole video about this talking about how I think his confidence has been restored and the Jets have really empowered him and allowed him to play the freest and most relaxed football of his career. And I think the best is yet to come for him this season. I'm excited to see what he can do. I think it's going to be a big year for Adonai Mitchell. And of course, Jets fans are excited about David Bailey. He's the number two overall pick in this year's draft, the highest drafted defensive player in franchise history. And while those are lofty expectations, and while I'm not sure he quite meets them in year one, he had an extremely encouraging summer and was kind of dominating at points in training camp. Of course, Jets fans are excited for David Bailey. I am too. You guys mentioned you were excited to see Mason Taylor, and I thought that was such a good shout. I think Taylor has gotten so overlooked this offseason because of the additions of, of course, Kenyon Sadiq and Omar Cooper Jr. And all the Adonai Mitchell hype. But remember, Mason Taylor led the Jets in catches as a rookie last season, and he's only gotten better this summer. He's had a really good offseason. Like, I think people are sleeping on Mason Taylor. I think he might be the most overlooked player in this Jets skill position group entering 2026. This was an interesting one. Somebody mentioned Joseph Osai, and I thought that was so fascinating because he is not somebody that has gotten really any hype this summer just because he's missed pretty much the entire summer due to injury. And he finally came back in the last preseason game, and then he hurt his foot and he might miss some regular season time. But I thought that going into the year, the Jets had big plans for him. Obviously, they gave him the most money of any player that they signed in free agency. But this is a guy who played a little bit of off-ball linebacker. If you go back to his Texas days, and I thought he's always been a better fit as a three, four outside linebacker, which he really didn't get the play in Cincinnati. So I thought the scheme fit was there. I thought the Jets had big plans for him, and I just, I want to see him back out there healthy soon enough. Hopefully we see that soon. Somebody mentioned Garrett Wilson and how they think he could go for over 1400 yards this year. And, you know, I don't know about that, but I love the optimism. I love the energy. Keep that positivity going. Finally, my favorite response. And that one hurts, man. Like that, that cuts deep. He was my guy. JBC was my dude, and I'm still holding onto that stock, but I, I don't know how much it's worth at this stage, man. I really don't.
