B.C.'s Evie Pritchard wins skateboard bronze medal at Youth Olympic Games
Nov 5, 2026
Okay, we're taking it back to Canada
and Vancouver Island's Evie Pritchard, 14 years of age,
left foot forward, which is regular, wasting no time,
straight into the harbour, big frontside 5-0 to start things off.
Taking that board slide to Fakie, switch board slide,
backside kickflip over the hip, it's
looking good so far, the blunt every go,
taking it backside, frontside Smith grind along that
long rail, you can see that Evie is all about
having fun, that comes first, skate and then
competition is second, getting the kickflip backside 50-50 done,
eyeing up the big section again.
Bringing it in to get this feeble grind on time,
she's done it, there's the full pole she needed
and look at that cheeky smile.
It's a big line there from Evie Pritchard.
So we've got a new leader 65.26
and it shows just how important skating
switch is and that means that she is our new leader
but still three more skates
to go in the run section
but it is still very much anyone's game at the moment.
Other than our bottom two,
Evie Pritchard just having a practice kickflip there.
The bottom is still open for her.
So we know she's going to go back and try
and get that kickflip over the Dakar sign.
Sign.
Yet to get a score on the board in the trick section.
Got the 65.26 as high score on run number three.
Great.
Gearing up for getting down. Here we go.
Boom, solid kickflip over the Dakar sign, down the big set of stairs.
She's going to be very glad to get that out of the way.
And look at that smile on her face.
Super happy. That is what we love to see. Skateboarding is fun.
Let's see what the judges think.
Judges are going to reward her very well for that.
That's one of the biggest gaps on the course.
Awesome.
So that is a 72.53.
She's in the third place position, 137.79.
Nine.
So in bronze medal contention right now.
OK, the bronze medal from Canada.
We have
the
amazing
Evie
Pritchard.
Very proud moment for Evie.
