How do you feel about online shopping?
I think we've all gotten really used to it,
particularly, you know, with COVID and it's just,
and it's so easy now.
Like, it's like, I think people resisted it,
but now it's like so easy to do on your phone
and everything else.
So are you constantly adding things to your cart
or do you prefer to see everything in person?
So here's some people from our area that were on a podcast.
Do you online shop?
No, I can't do it.
My grandmom used to online shop and then she would pick it up.
But I don't know how to do that.
I barely know how to use Uber Eats.
I'm serious.
I don't have time for it.
I want to go in person.
I want to talk to somebody.
Same.
And I don't like self-checkout.
Like, I love human interaction.
Right.
I did online shopping back when COVID was a thing,
and I ordered bananas.
I got one banana in my bag.
I was like, this is the last time.
Fine.
I asked for a roast.
And I'm like, family of four.
I got a roast that probably would only, like, one person.
So, yeah, I'm like, I can't do that.
I like going in person.
Plus, I'm like a visual.
Like, I don't write a list.
I just go down each aisle, and I know what I need down there.
So that's specific to grocery shopping as opposed
to like everything else because sometimes it's
like really helpful like I'm looking for bathroom items like
to compare and what there is and then
what stores are selling the same thing for the price
for and you can like you need to do research
when you're doing research it's really helpful
to do it online I think. Yeah I mean I love online
shopping but not for groceries like I take the trip
to the wholesale club because I walk up and
down and I'm also cheap
but I've become such an impulse buyer online because
Things come to you in the middle of the day
or in the middle of the evening and you roll over and you're like, oh,
I do need that, you know, nasal mister because my throat's been sore.
And you go, I can order this now.
It'll be here by two o'clock today.
So I do way too much of that.
But not grocery shopping.
Yeah, grocery, especially because when I was doing like some
of the shopping where they have it delivered,
sometimes like this isn't ripe or like this is too ripe.
I'm supposed to make this work.
I like to be able to pick and feel myself.
I do like, when it comes to regular clothing shopping online,
I just hate returns.
It's like, as much and as lovely as the buying process is,
the return process is just, it's horrible.
Like, getting the dates right,
sometimes you have to pay a restocking fee,
or you have to pay to put it back.
Like, it's a lot.
And then sometimes, if you buy online,
they won't even let you return in person.
You have to return it online.
Like, there's all these different rules,
and everybody's switching it up to make it harder,
and that just really makes it difficult.
That's like store online shopping.
A place like Amazon, I discovered how easy it was to return that.
I was like, wait, I can just drop it off at the store?
And then you end up buying so much more there.
I mean, and to your point about, like,
I needed, I'm blowing the leaves.
I'm like, oh, I need noise reducers, you know?
And so, like, and they're there by, like, tomorrow.
And they're, I mean, I know that they're the big thing,
but they have great prices on groceries.
And you can also pick with the bananas, like,
Right now or ripe in a few days.
And I find that I buy less because I just go through
and hit the same things that we
always need, like lettuce, milk, juice, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
And it's like a set amount.
So I buy much less.
And when you're in a supermarket, you're always tempted by everything.
Yeah, because you're hungry and you're looking like,
oh, that looks good.
And all the new products and the seasonal
stuff, like you just get taken in.
I must have this seasonal whatever it is.
So, yes.
All right.
So we got to figure that out.
Yes, we do.
Cardi.
