Wednesday, everyone. I'm meteorologist Claire Anderson
in the Fox 13 Weather Center for today.
We've been seeing more clouds out there heading
into this evening with cooler temperatures into tonight as well.
We are tracking more showers, especially later this evening
into the overnight hours, rain and wind out along the coast.
As we move into our Thursday, we do get a bit of a rain break,
mainly dry conditions for Thursday. So enjoy that because
a soggy day ahead heading into Friday, a little bit drier.
for Saturday and then another round of rain for Sunday.
So kind of going back and forth in this season.
Looking at our high temperatures today, mid to upper 50s.
So it was another mild afternoon. 57 for SeaTac.
We're usually at 55 degrees this time of year.
So a little bit warmer for those spots.
As we head into tonight, this frontal system is moving on shore.
Considered a weaker frontal system, meaning not too much rain.
Breeziness but mostly out along the coast and the north interior.
So as we move through the rest of tonight,
these showers will move further on shore,
mostly dry by Thursday morning. You can see that rain out towards
the coast as we look at our forecast by 11:30 tonight.
Most of those showers have moved through, so spotty rain is still possible.
A foggier start to the day. We do see some sun breaks here and there,
especially around the Puget Sound out towards the coast.
Clouds linger a little bit longer.
Mostly dry though, potentially a sprinkle passing through,
can't rule it out, but overall most of the rain is done.
Thursday night into Friday though, another push of rain.
Here's Friday morning, a few scattered showers
to start the day, wet out along the coast.
That continues throughout Friday afternoon,
into the evening hours it gets a little bit more scattered.
We do see some drier time into Saturday though.
As we move that warm front early Saturday, behind it, drier conditions,
a few sun breaks, and then we do see more rain, of course, for Sunday.
How much rain are we talking about, though, with this event?
Not a whole lot.
Here's a look at some of the forecast models.
Late tonight, we'll see about a tenth of an inch.
Seattle, Bellingham through 11 o'clock,
third of an inch out along the coast.
But into tomorrow morning again,
most of the rain out towards the beaches.
Not a whole lot of moisture with this.
Winds will get breezy, though.
By tomorrow morning, 20 to 25 miles per hour wind.
Snoqualmie Pass, a calmer Thursday,
but I do want to show you heading into Friday,
winds pick up out towards the beaches, north interior.
We could see some wind advisories,
especially look up towards Bellingham,
Whidbey Island, Neah Bay.
So we'll be watching that really closely as we get closer to the event,
but just keep that in mind for the end of the week.
Looking at our temperatures tonight, 40,
so milder conditions for this evening.
Tomorrow, if you're out walking the dog, mostly...
Mostly dry, not too muddy with those paws and mostly dry soccer field.
So no major puddles for the kids
or adults out there playing, upper fifties
tonight or tomorrow for Seattle 58
for Olympia, fifties out towards the coast
at Wenatchee and your extended forecast, pretty mild conditions,
pretty nice Saturday also before wet returns Sunday.
