Well, things are changing a little bit here. 🚐❤️ After spending four weeks exploring Wales in my little Vauxhall Vivaro, I've got some new work commitments coming up, which means my full-time vanlife adventures are going to look a little different for a while. But does that mean I'm giving up travelling? Absolutely not! In this video, I'm sharing what's happening, how I'm going to balance work with living full-time in my van, and what I've got planned for the next few weeks. There might be a few changes, but there's still plenty of exploring to be done - even if it's a little closer to home! Thank you so much for following along and supporting my adventures. It really does mean the world. 💛
Let me know in the comments — do you enjoy the little local adventures just as much as the bigger road trips?

🚐 ABOUT ME Hi, I'm Sara! 👋 After spending almost two years living full-time in my van while my house was being renovated, I moved back home - but I never stopped missing the freedom of life on the road. So I've decided to give full-time vanlife another go. 🚐❤️ This time there's a challenge: can I build enough online income to pay my mortgage back home AND support a life of travelling in my van? I've worked out that I need to earn around £100 a day, so I'm sharing the real journey as I try to make that happen - the adventures, beautiful park-ups, costs, income, unexpected problems and everything that doesn't quite go to plan! This isn't just a travel channel. It's my attempt to build a different kind of life - with more freedom, more adventures and hopefully a lot more time on the road. Thanks for coming along for the ride. ❤️

The creator announces a shift from full-time road trips to \"part-time van life\" to provide respite foster care for a baby with complex medical needs. While staying local in Northwest England, they aim to balance caregiving, social media work, and short van excursions, while introducing a monthly charity initiative to give back to society.
I did not think I'd be saying this quite so soon,
but my van life plans have changed completely.
Things are going to look
a little bit different over the next few weeks.
But does that mean less adventure? Not necessarily.
Let me explain what's going on.
I'm heading out in the van just for one night.
My plan was to be doing a massive big road trip,
but things have changed drastically.
So right now I am going to visit another foster carer,
go into their house for a little meeting.
I'll catch you back up when I'm done with that, I think.
Right, that's all done.
I've been with...
Oh, reaching for my sliders down there.
I've, yeah, met with the foster carers.
Let's go and find a park up.
Just going to park for night to find a park up
for the rest of the day and the evening.
Apparently, this one has...
It's a beautiful spot with stunning views.
I will be the judge of that myself.
I don't know if this is the park up that was on park for night,
to be honest.
I think it is.
I'm hungry, though. I need to get in the back and eat.
I am so hungry. It is...
2.46pm and I have not eaten yet today.
I'm starving. I've got some leftover pizza so I'm
just going to heat that up in the air fryer.
My plans have massively, massively changed.
So up until a couple of days ago my plan had been to,
like I've been at home for about two
weeks or so, so I'm going to go back out and do another big road trip.
But I was even thinking
of going up to Scotland and doing the NC500
but I think maybe it's a little bit late in the year,
But anyway, plans have completely changed because I,
as you know, I'm a foster carer.
I was contacted by social services about doing some lift
and respite for a baby.
It's got, without saying too much,
it's got quite a lot of complex kind of medical needs.
And the foster carer that they're
with is just struggling a little bit with, you know,
with the demands of that and their own children and all that thing.
So what I'm going to do, that's where I've just been to visit
this foster carer now and meet the little baby.
I'm going to, for the next block of time,
I don't know how much, and it's going to be a little bit
flexible, but like go and help out in the evenings,
a few evenings a week with the baby, which is good
in the sense like it's a little bit of money for me and,
you know, it's just nice to be able to do
this and also possibly I might have the baby
for a week whilst they go away, like at my house. So
this little block of time is going to be part-time van life.
My idea is that I will
be at home sort of half the week
and out in the van half the week and be doing some foster care
or um like at the at the other foster carers house
and then like come out in the van like i'm gonna
do tonight i've been there for a bit
and i'm gonna sleep in the van tonight so staying pretty local
probably probably no big road trip in the very imminent future
although there could be like i
could organize it i could i can take a week off
from it like it's not it's not this thing that
i've got to do every single week and things
and so i could get something in but for now
I'm quite pleased to be honest that it's come up
because it's just that extra bit of money
I can still continue to work on the background
of you know the social media things and try and
build up to that £100 a day that I can afford
to not go back to full-time fostering and I've always
wanted I've always said like I want to stay
as a foster carer like I don't want to lose like my
my license kind of thing.
Because I'd like to be able to do things like this.
I just don't think that I want full-time children anymore.
Being able to still foster, like, it is important to me.
Because I don't want to...
Sorry, I'm eating.
Someone told me off the other day
in the comments for talking whilst I was eating.
I'll stop.
I don't want to not...
Like the way of the idea of like earning £100 a day
so I can not return to full-time fostering
and like getting that by making these videos
and things that's all very well but it's all
a bit frivolous and pointless isn't it of a way to earn money.
I'm not really being a productive
member of society or doing anything good in the world
and just gallivanting around the place in
your van making some videos and you're watching them.
That all seems a little bit pointless
doesn't it really in the grand old scheme of life
so actually to be able to still do a bit of fostering.
Is it like I want like it's something worthwhile
in the world rather than just stupid youtube
videos. Although I'm glad you watch them and I'm glad you enjoy them.
The park up is eerily silent
here. I think that's a pub actually. I don't know.
See if there's a little hiking trail or something
somewhere. I don't know where I'm going here.
I don't think I understand. Is this going into the
pub? Is this a little walk out here?
Look at them. Oh look public footpath.
Follow that sign. This
place is like silent. It's a bit crazy.
I've never been anywhere quite so silent. Just a few birds.
I've got my hat on. I know I look like
a fool in a hat, but it's chilly.
I was thinking, you know, I was talking
before about, like, just making videos
is just a bit of frivolous,
kind of pointless way of earning money and things.
What I wanted to do, I've got a little idea,
and I need your help with it.
Once a month, I'm going to have, like, a charity video,
and it's going to be this one this month.
And...
I'll let you know that it's a charity video
and if in the comments on those videos if you could
recommend a charity that you've either worked
with or has helped you out in you know a difficult time
of your life leave me a comment recommending a charity
and if you feel comfortable sharing a bit
of you know why you're recommending it and if you haven't got a charity
that you would like to recommend if you can thumbs up
the charity that you like the comment with the
charity that you think deserves
a donation i mean most charities deserve a donation that's real
and then the one with the most thumbs up i'm going
to donate the proceeds of the revenue
it's not peaceful now is it i'm going to donate
the revenue from that video to that charity
it's just for me it's just a way
of doing something like to give back and like i said
Because I just feel so very...
Frivolous way to be spending my time of making videos.
I just want to give something back.
So yeah, this video is the charity video.
If you've got a charity you'd like to nominate to receive the revenue,
which is, let's be real, it's not a lot of money right now.
If you've got a charity that you want to put forward,
do leave it down below in the comments.
And if you haven't got one,
have a little look down in the comments and thumbs up.
Am I at a dead end? No.
Thumbs up the one you would like to receive the revenue.
I fear my journey may have come to an end
because I'm gonna have to turn around.
There's a gate, but I'm not walking through
what I think is actual, literal ----.
Stinks, I don't see any cows.
Walking through ---- and mud wasn't on my list today,
so I'll head back where I came from.
It really
does stink.
Maybe I've walked too far.
I think I've missed my turn off.
It all kind of looks the same.
I must have done.
Maybe that's the pub there.
I was gonna turn around.
The sun's kind of setting and it's quite nice.
So I'm just going to continue walking for a little bit longer.
Why not?
Thank you.
It is only,
this is wild to me,
it's like five o'clock
and it's dark out there.
I'm putting my window coverings up.
Okay, these dark winter nights,
I don't know what to do with myself in the van.
What did I used to do when I was in Wales?
What did I do every evening?
Maybe I was editing videos and things.
I haven't got any videos to edit.
I've decided I'm making a shopping list.
I'm going shopping tomorrow, food shopping tomorrow.
So I'm making a shopping list.
I don't know what to do.
Maybe it's just...
Cook some dinner and watch a movie, I think that's all I can do really.
My friend just messaged me and said, do you want to come on Outriders?
The game that I play on the PC at home.
I can't, I'm in the van.
I've got to finish my shopping list.
I'm making some delicious food next week.
I know what I can do, I'll just get my iPad.
Saturday, it's Halloween actually.
The Mexican qualifying GP.
That's what I can do, I'm going to get my pyjamas on.
And watch, I don't know what's on.
I think it'll be the practice sessions and then qualifying later on.
Got my pyjamas on so I'll get cosy.
Might have to put the diesel heater on.
Need to make sure I've cleaned
this when I was at home,
make sure I get it back in before I run my tap
and forget I haven't got anywhere
to collect my water.
Disaster, imagine.
I think maybe there's some fireworks out there.
Oh, there is.
I think we're gonna have a little wonder.
Can't really see them, to be honest.
It's a bit far away.
I should have thought about that,
because it's like Saturday.
I thought fireworks would have been done Friday.
Oh, no, maybe not, no.
A bonfire night, it's so misty.
It's a clear night.
I don't know whether you were able to see them,
but there's so many stars.
I think it's like five to eight.
It's very, very early,
but I'm gonna get all cozy in bed, I reckon.
I could put my winter duvet on.
I'm boiling.
I've had the diesel heater on,
and it's that far.
I've still got it on low now.
It's absolutely boiling in here.
Watch this one Quali.
Have
a nice
little
early
night.
Oh, it's so much darker on the camera than it actually is.
Let me turn my light on
so you can see Mel's morning face.
Oh, it's cold.
It's definitely turned
in that like two weeks since I've been in the house.
I fancy a little early morning walk.
November, 1st of November today.
Can we start talking about Christmas now? I reckon.
It's morning.
All these sheep
are coming down.
I don't see them. Where are they all going?
Quarter past seven now. I'm just going to go
to the same place I did yesterday for a little walk.
I'm sure there's other walks around, but I quite liked it up there.
It should be nice.
I've set myself, because it's 1st of November,
I've set myself a little goal.
of doing a 45 minute outdoor walk every day just
because i know i think i talked about it in a
different video that getting outside
on a little walk really makes me feel good like mentally
and i have a tendency that when it starts
to get a bit chillier or the weather starts
to turn just to hunker down
and it doesn't make me feel good like long term so let's see
set myself a little goal for every every day get outside 45 minute walk
A bit of fresh air, a bit of nature, good for the soul, hey?
A bit chilly, should've put a hat on
That was lovely.
See, it just makes me feel so much better.
Just get out, have an early morning walk.
I'm just watching qualifying for the Grand Prix
because I fell asleep last night watching it
and I want to watch it before I find out
anything that happened.
There'll be spoilers all over my YouTube or whatever.
So I'm just going to watch.
It wouldn't have been very exciting if I fell asleep.
I was just absolutely knackered because the last two nights,
I don't think I got to bed till like three o'clock
because I was gaming, which is not the best, but.
I'm going to go and do my food shop for the week now.
This kind of part-time van life that I'm doing over the next few weeks
is going to be very much more real life.
I know someone commented about how I'm treating van life
very much like being on holiday.
And I would agree like 100% with the Welsh road trip it was.
It was very much I've got this Welsh road trip that I'm going to do
and I'm ticking off places.
And like I still want to do, I want to do road trips like that 100%
and they will be more kind of like holiday van life type stuff
but then this van life,
this part-time van life that I'm going to be doing
will be very much more real life.
So we're not necessarily going to be exploring beautiful places
although I'll try, I'll try and go to some nice places
but it will just be a bit more real life-y.
I'm done.
I'm going to go and pick up my sister now.
I've got to take my sister to the train station.
She's off down to London for a week or so.
I'm going to pick her up and then I'm going to head home,
sort out all this food, make some videos for the food channel.
See Stephen, watch the Grand Prix.
I'm going to end it here.
I'm going to be hanging around, like I said,
I'm going to be hanging around like the northwest of England
for a few weeks, but still going out in the vans.
If you've got any suggestions of nice places,
northwest, do let me know.
Because I'm always up for a little adventure.
If you've got a charity, remember to leave it down below
in the comments.
Complete change of plans to what I was thinking.
was going to be happening in life from a few days ago
but yeah i hope you'll stick around
even for just this part-time van life
because definitely more full-time stuff is coming
but for now it's just mini adventures
