World's largest Build-A-Bear Workshop comes to Orlando

All right, so you come in here and every single stitch of your bear is customized. From the beginning. Yes, absolutely. It is the most incredible personalized experience for our guests. First thing you do is you choose out a head. I chose that color. I love it. All right. Next up, you. Pick out eyes, and I chose what I thought would be nice matching eyes, light tan. Absolutely, I love it. Great choice. And then we also want to add some arms and bodies, right, just like that. I went with a more traditional bear color. Yeah, I think that's perfect. It seems perfect for you as well. Yeah, but you can, by the way, customize everything. You can do different... Colors of the arms, different shapes of the tails, and by the way, different styles of the fur. Yes, and these are some very luxurious, super soft furs that are exclusive to Design Studio. In fact, the Design Studio that we see behind us, all of these bears, there's only one of these in the world, the ones that we're looking at. Absolutely, everything is one of a kind. And so once we pick out our bear parts, they get put into a box, something like this, right? And then what happens? And then it goes back to our sewing specialist who will do an incredible job bringing it to life for you in the back room. That's right. So that's Kiara back there, a sewing specialist. She's been working hard at sewing what we're going to put on our bear this morning. I don't want to reveal that yet because it doesn't happen in 40 minutes. It takes a little more time, doesn't it? Absolutely. There's a lot of extra special care and detail going into each one of these creations. So what will a design studio experience take? About 90 minutes, you think? Roughly. And from start to finish, you can walk out of here with a bear, and of course, you're going to stuff it upstairs too in your own little private heart ceremony as well. You can add a heartbeat, you can add a sound and a smell to your bear, right? Yes, and you get extra special packaging to take it home. This is wonderful. And I have it right, Jazzy, there's nobody in the world that's doing this except for the Orlando store. That's right. It is a Build-A-Bear exclusive, the most personalized experience you could get at Build-A-Bear or anywhere. Yeah. Truly. Why is it we get the biggest of everything? Because we're Orlando and David Martin is there. Right, we are. He's giving us a preview. David, I've enjoyed looking around this place because I've seen it from the outside. I had no idea about the big party patio. This is amazing. Yeah. And we can't show you everything, obviously, all morning long, because it's that massive. But on the first floor, in the 8 o'clock hour, we showed you a more traditional Build-A-Bear workshop. It's massive, a lot more options, but it's what you might expect at a Build-A-Bear workshop. On the third floor, there's a terrace outside and a Build-A-Bear bake shop where you can eat and customize your own cupcakes. And then in the second floor, well, that's where the heart of this unique attraction really is, thanks to Jazzy and Misty. They are VPs at the Bear Quarters in St. Louis, Missouri. How are you doing this morning? Fantastic. Do I have all that right? Absolutely. Absolutely. Okay, and you are responsible for bringing in a very Exclusive Orlando-only attraction. Completely, yes. We wanted to create something a little more upscale and elevated, but still has that Build-A-Bear heart. So our teams worked together to bring that to life. And we made one ourselves this morning. You get to have a heart ceremony and finish stuffing your bear. All right, Ainsley, do the heart ceremony as quickly as you can. All right, so you're going to take this heart. And you're going to shake it on up, get the heart beating. You're going to rub it on your head so it is super smart, just like you, on your belly so it's never hungry, full of all those yummy bakery treats. Hold that up to the heart chandelier, close your eyes, make a special wish. And then you're going to shake those wishes to those hearts so they can capture them for you. And that heart is going to go right inside of your furry friend. Now you've brought your furry friend to life with your love and wishes. This will be on the studio set with all the anchors every single day. Well, look what we have here behind you. The girls and their customized bears from downstairs as well. What a very special treat.
