And let's check in once again with meteorologist T.J. Springer.
T.J., thankfully a much drier day for most people today.
Yeah, for sure, Luanne.
So much better and just good in the regard to the cleanup process
that so many are dealing with here today after
the unbelievable flooding that we've seen.
We can still see some rain kind of in
the vicinity of Southern Brevard County,
fairly close to Melbourne, Malabar, Grand Valkyria.
Some showers in your vicinity and a bit more rain.
No lightning, just some heavier rain.
Just to the northwest of a Kenansville kind of hugging
the turnpike here at this hour, but most of us are dry.
You are heading out to vote. Shouldn't have too many issues aside
from the spots that have dealt with the flooding in the last 48 hours.
You can see some of the hardest hit locales. Grand Valkyria.
One of the hardest hit spots where rain fell rainfall,
I should say, amounted to nearly 25 inches over two feet of rain,
just over 16 inches in the Atlantic and 22 in Palm Bay.
Just remarkable. You can still see the flooding concerns, though,
including places like Melbourne down to Grand Valkyria and Sebastian.
Those flood warnings in play through 930 in the morning tomorrow.
Now tonight's forecast overall dry aside from a couple of
Showers can completely take that chance off the table right around 70
then tomorrow for our hump day as a ridge of high pressure starts
to build back in. We are expecting temperatures to warm up a bit
and with some of that drier air,
not as high of rain chances around 30% with that chance
for a few showers and storms, mainly during the afternoon.
We'll see that here with our Fox weather model on future cast
as we take you through the remainder of our election day.
You can see those showers fading away as we lose that heating,
but we still can't go out of straight shower,
especially on the coast with that onshore wind. Then
And tomorrow, drive for the commute into work.
But on the way home, we might have to dodge a few sprinkles, maybe a...
A clap of thunder out there, but the trend continues of drying.
Now, a front does look to swing in on Thursday,
and that does bring at least a chance for an isolated shower or storm,
but I think the bigger impact, so to speak,
will be the cooler, more refreshing air
that starts to build in behind it Friday into the weekend.
Now, our Fox 35 Storm Team 7-day forecast shows
temperatures dropping a bit behind it.
Low 80s Saturday, staying in the low 80s, then upper 70s.
Monday and Tuesday, and it looks like the lows jacking
the wind for some spots could slide back into the 50s.
Maybe a hoodie Tuesday morning.
