All Things Detroit Holiday Shopping Experience

Experience is happening on Sunday. So here with more is All Things Detroit's founder, Jennifer Crawford Williams. Hello. And Nicole Couture from Lucy Goosey. Welcome to you both. Thank you. Okay. So let's talk about this experience because it really is something for the whole family and it's a great chance to get a jumpstart on that holiday shopping. Yes. What we do at All Things Detroit is very nostalgic, very holiday. It's kind of like you're going to the mall, but not. It's shopping local at the Eastern Market, 200 businesses. So we're things, holiday photos, and our theme this year is PJs and presents. Come in your holiday PJs. Okay, okay. How important is it, and what is the ripple effect to bring so many different vendors together all under one roof? Well, I always say that, you know, you're helping people feed their families. This is their job. This is what they do every day. They're going to work. So coming out to an event like this, supporting and shopping is helping them feed their families. And so what better way to do? That is holiday shopping around the holidays. I like that the gifts are unique. It's not something that you would get in just, you know, your mall or your store where they're mass producing things. These are things that are also unique and local to the city. So what did you bring for us today? Well, first, I love these handmade ornaments. We have some very, very creative businesses. There's also a skincare line part for teens. That's different. A few food for all different types of food, there is popcorn, cookies, the soaps are... Our number one seller, and then we'll also have a coloring truck that will be there so you can get on the truck and color. And I'm going to have you just slow down or stay in one area so the camera guy can follow you. So let's start over here. So there'll be a coloring truck on site. We have also handmade mittens. There's your All Things Detroit PJs. There is also the skincare line for teens, which is something new. There are custom caps. And I like these hats. Let's stay on these hats for a second, because it's Detroit style, but I see a little bling bling over there as well. Yes, it is. We all love the bling. Detroiters love the bling. Yes. So we also have books. as well, local authors, but like I said before, the soaps is the number one seller there. Okay, and Miss Lucy Goosey, I'll bring you in over here. What did you bring for us? So I brought some of my featured winter-themed cocktail infusion kits. So they're all made with dehydrated fruit that we locally source and dehydrate ourselves. And then you add the liquor to the jar and let it infuse for a couple days. Then you add it to a mixer of choice. Oh, I could tell. So that one is the winterberry mule. And it's also, you can also make them as mocktails. So that one was infused with water and a little bit of cranberry juice and then topped with ginger beer. So the flavor and everything is in here and I would add the alcohol to the jar? Yep, and let it infuse. Just to make it nice and convenient. It's like you're a craft bartender at home. What was the start for this idea? So I have a mobile bar business where I do weddings, graduation parties and things. And then I just had the idea to do something else to offer. We'll stand out a little bit. And they kind of have taken off since then and are offered in a few stores. You have the whole kit here. Does it come with a little shaker if you want? Those are new, so I'm going to do like a quarterly subscription box and gift boxes with the little shaker, the jigger, and some other local things. Quarterly subscription box is a great idea. I think you'll do very well in that. Okay, tell us one more time. Where can we find you? This Sunday at Eastern Market. We will be there. Our Beat the Crowd is from 10 a.m. to noon, but you have to have a pre-sale ticket. And then we are moving there until 5 p.m. So noon to 5 is general admission, 200 businesses, it's going to be a great day. Fantastic information right there on your screen.
