This video is different to any video that I've ever done in the past.
This is a congratulations video.
I just want to give my honest congratulations to Andy from Andy's
Fishing. Over the last couple of days
his subscriber count has surpassed mine and you're
probably thinking well that's not a big deal
but between me and Andy that is a big deal. I was one
I was one of the first people who subscribed to him,
I've been following him right from the start.
And ever since he started making videos,
we've been having banter back and forwards via the comments,
basically just seeing Andy saying, I'm going to catch you one day,
and me just giving him encouragement all the way.
That day has come, he's caught me and he's surpassed me.
He's going to fly miles past my figure and he absolutely deserves it.
His videos are not only well shot, they're educational,
they're colourful because he lives in Australia
and it always seems to be sunny there apart
from when there's a hurricane on.
They're just really,
really good videos and recently he's gone to another level.
He's got himself a drone.
He's just got himself a load more gear,
specifically with the purpose of making better videos.
Now, one day we're really hoping to meet up
and make some fishing videos together.
It's more likely that Andy would come over to the UK than I would go
to Australia, just because of my work and commitments and so on.
But I just want to say, Andy, those fish behind me are all yours.
I'm feeding them up for you, and I can't wait till you visit.
Now the thing that impresses me most about Andy
is not the marvelous videos that he makes,
but it's the time that he devotes
to answering questions that are posted on his videos.
And as someone who posts a lot of videos that are educational,
I know how long it takes to do that.
And Andy's done that right from the start,
and I've no doubts he'll do it as high as he goes.
He's just that sort of fella. He just really
He cares about what he's doing, he's passionate, and he's not like
a lot of these channels where you can see they're going to get big,
and their heads get big, and his head has never got big,
and I really, really appreciate that.
Now you've probably had just about enough of me gushing over what
a marvellous chap Andy is, and how excellent this channel is,
and how you should all subscribe to it,
so I think I might as well just put a few short clips
on to show you what he does on his channel. Check this out.
Exciting, I've just been dropped off by Bill, thanks Bill.
I've got one rod,
I've got the Samaki Zing 6 foot 10 to 20 pound spin rod,
a couple of lures, soft plastics and Finnair 3000 Rampage reel.
20 pound braid, 20 pound and 30 pound leader.
So the idea is to follow this creek up to the next road access
where Bill's going to meet me tomorrow afternoon or night.
I've got very little food so I've got to catch some food on the way.
I'm going to say the fish are hiding
in the dark corner at the bottom of these trees.
Oh yeah right
over there come
on oh we hit it like
a bit of coriander
okay really delicious.
This is all of the stuff I need
for a good night's sleep this is
my sleeping bag and my hammock.
Andy's fishing that's like an 80 kilo pig and we've
been in the bush now for six hours. Noah's getting hungry.
I'm hungry.
Hopefully catch us live bait
for the night there we go nice
and sturdy it's good to fish up it's
now at least half an hour after dark
and look the net works this one goes a little deeper too
a few more fish down the edges here he's definitely
a legal size and i think that'll
be my fish for the day oh yeah that's
a nice crab they are definitely big fish
because i can see them from the air there's one feeding down there
There are these other ones over there
on this sandbar I think, yeah there they are,
that's them right there, that is really cool.
Flat but that's alright, we'll figure that out,
here we go, very nice, beautiful landing.
Oh that's him, got him, got him, oh yeah,
oh that is a good fish, that is a good fish.
Oh he's rubbing the boat, yeah right under the boat,
leave him in the water when we get him.
That's it, beautiful, how far buddy?
Yeah, there we go.
98cm, fit it in,
beautiful fish, won't
muck around too long,
we will just let it go.
That was a pretty good day for me, poor old Andrew didn't do so well.
How do you feel about that Andrew?
Not again with the big smudgy thing.
No words out of Andrew.
We are going home.
Andy's fishing on YouTube. I'll put a link in the video description,
and if you check out my channel,
you'll notice in the recommended channels, Andy is in there.
He was the very first channel that I put in that section.
That's the very first channel that I was recommending to other people.
Well done, Andy. I'll raise a toast to you.
And until you go on your world tour and conquer the fish in England,
just remember, I'm the King of the North.
