Youngest Canadian Forward in 19 years
Nov 4, 2026
Chris Vogel here with College Hockey on SI,
and with the Women's World Championships about to start,
there's one player whose resume stands out as she looks
to make an impact in her first World Championships.
That's Rosalie Tremblay, the Wisconsin forward.
She's the youngest player to make Canada's roster
as a forward since one of the all-time greats, Marie-Philip Poulin.
A Boston University legend as well.
She first made the Canadian roster all the way back in 2009.
Now Tremblay will be the first 18-year-old since her to make her debut.
Tremblay brought an impressive resume
to the defending national champion Wisconsin program.
Was a Liz Turgan Player of the Year in the JWHL.
It's the top prep league in U.S. and Canada.
Also was on the U18 championship team
a year ago as an assistant captain.
And won a player of the tournament award for her country.
Has appeared at that event twice.
Has captured a gold and a silver medal.
She's taken that production to the collegiate game already.
Six games played.
Has posted nine points.
That includes six goals.
Four of those coming in the game against Minnesota State.
The young forward already making an impact at the collegiate game.
She'll now try to make it on the international stage for Team Canada.
