Hey, it's Graham Dietz with Boston College Eagles on SI, part of the SI Network.
BC football is about 24 hours away from taking on Rutgers in its 2026 home opener.
I'm here to tell you about a player that BC fans must be on the lookout for.
The Scarlet Knights have playmakers really both in the run game and the passing game,
but hands down the number one threat offensively they have is wide receiver KJ Duff.
Rutgers' season opener against UMass, Duff had arguably the best performance of a wide
receiver in college football that week, hauling in nine receptions for 196 yards and three
touchdowns, including a 78-yarder. What makes him so difficult to cover is just the catch radius and
size. He has size that you can't teach as a receiver, 6'6", 225 pounds, and a giant wingspan.
He can make pretty much any contested catch and led the nation in contested catches last year
with 22. Just one game into the season so far, BC secondary really hasn't been tested yet,
which it feels like they're going to go from a little bit of a zero to 100 this week with
the type of matchup that they face in Duff. We're going to be on the lookout to see if
cornerback Sire Torrance will play. He was out in the Eagles' season opener because
they're going to surely need him.
