Welcome back to TMZ Sports.
Dylan here with Luca, Alex, and Chris.
If you've been tuning into the internet,
the internet invitational specifically on YouTube,
the major golf tournament that is making waves,
64 influencers, creators, including celebrities,
athletes, and YouTube golfers.
Well, one, Jason Williams, participated.
He is a barstool personality.
He, if you didn't know,
Was eliminated after day one of the Invitational.
Basically, it was divided into four teams.
His team lost collectively.
And, you know, the Internet is slowly reacting to it all.
Well, we finally heard J. Will's side
of his experience out there at the Internet Invitational.
And he actually was very critical of his team's captain, Peter Finch.
Peter Finch is a very popular YouTube golfer,
a really class guy, fantastic golfer all around,
a guy that is a really good leader.
I don't think anyone has anything bad to say about him.
Well, White Chocolate does.
He went on his podcast, Hooping and Hollering,
and here's what he had to say.
Our captain, I think
that was the first time he's ever captained anything.
We were up 8-4, I think that's what it was.
After the first nine holes then the second nine holes will come
in and they got to break our teams up again and
Put two and two together versus the other team, right?
So all we had to do is get four points
He come in and he put our best two players together
out in the first match,
our third and fourth best players out in the second match,
and then our fifth and sixth best player
out in the third match,
and then our seventh and eighth best player
out in the fourth match,
thinking we were going to win those first four.
And if we didn't win those first four,
you got a**holes like me down there
trying to carry us across the finish line.
That ain't happening.
Not that I give a**.
I mean, I guess I do, because I'm bitching about it,
but you asked me.
I did.
He didn't ask me anything about who I wanted to play with
or anything I thought, which I don't give a ****,
because I knew we was fitting to lose after Buddy did what he did.
Peter Finch is his name.
So that's Jason Williams kind of unloading there a little,
you know, inside baseball
there with the details,
but essentially he did not like how Peter Finch stacked up his
team.
Yeah.
Jason Williams, admittedly,
they're not the strongest golfer on his team, but it was,
you know, your team was the amazing golfers down
to like Philly influencers could be mixed
up.
However, what do you make this Luca?
No, I mean, honestly, I've watched all almost 15 hours
of this along with the other 16,
probably 20 million people at this point who've watched it.
This is such a BS.
Peter Finch is like a guy who, I mean,
I know you guys aren't familiar with the golf game,
but you know, this guy, when you think about golf,
is this classy kind of, you know, country club sport.
That's Peter Finch.
That's a guy who is one of the most respectable characters
out there on the internet.
And for him to get dragged like this is absolutely crazy,
especially when White Chocolate, you know,
honestly did stuff that was detrimental to his team
in the first day.
You know, there's, for those of you who watched,
there was a part where Luke Kwan,
a guy who's one of the more skilled players in the field,
hit a ball into the bunker with a chipper
I thought was a good shot and he literally forfeited his shot
to go play that one, which who knows if that would have helped or not,
but it could have. This guy doesn't know what he's talking about.
I mean, to go after a guy who's a consummate professional
and to go say that you're, you know, he doesn't know how to cap,
he doesn't know how to do this, that, clearly that you're not watching
the same thing that we're watching because that's just not the case.
Well, Peter Finch, while he is a class nice guy, he took a shot.
He saw this clip and he said, brother was high then and he's high now.
And this is what we call ratio, Chris.
Yeah. Yeah. He got ratioed over there. White chocolate did.
And this is just overall a tough look from our guy, white chocolate.
You know, we love him, but he's an NBA legend, not a golf legend.
He's a little outside of his depth here, especially talking about,
you know, the order was right. It's like, you got to go out there
and you got to, you got to play some stick white chocolate.
Like this is just not, not, not, it's not it.
Luka, you said you've watched almost all 14, 15 hours.
I've watched all of it that's out.
Not criticizing, but...
With the hindsight, do you still think the pairings were right?
Yeah, I mean, I think at the end of the day,
when you kind of get down to the brass tacks of, like,
some guys that are good and some guys that aren't so good,
some of the matches were kind of throwaways.
And, I mean, I think when it comes to your team composition,
what he did was right.
He expected the guys that were on his team to go out and win,
and they just didn't win.
And, I mean, as a guy who's an NBA player who's played in the playoffs,
you should understand the fact that
sometimes the other team is just better
and you don't win.
I don't know.
The Internet Invitational continues on.
Barstool Bob does sports,
we will be following it every step of the way.
