Dwayne Johnson Looks Unrecognizable in New Movie | TMZ Sports

Welcome back to TMZ Sports. The Rock looks completely unrecognizable on the set of his new movie, Lizard Music. I am shocked by this. I mean, this is like skinny rock, old rock. Like, what is this? I thought this was Arnold Schwarzenegger for a second. Like, old man Arnold. Don't do Arnold back now. This is The Rock on the set of his new movie, Lizard Music. This is terrifying. Now, you remember a year ago he did the movie Smashing Machine? Yeah. And he was on all that weight. Right. He was with director Benny Safdie. Oh, okay. Another Benny Safdie. So this movie, Lizard Music, is also with Benny Safdie. The Rock has talked about that he spent five hours in the makeup chair to get this look. This is adapted from a young adult novel from the 70s. Kind of a weird one. The Rock said that it's like Benny Safdie's Willy Wonka. So it's going to be whimsical. I think it's going to be for kids. But yeah, the future WWE Hall of Famer, Dwayne Johnson, looking weird. But yeah, he's supposedly in his 70s here. Am I crazy thinking that that kind of looks like an old man Arnold? Like, I feel like just cast Arnold Schwarzenegger for this. No, you are crazy. Go back to that. Kyle, if we go back to that last picture, I think that looks a little like a little Arnold-esque. Oh, wow. I don't know. You're stretching a little bit. I just can't believe this. Like, when people change this much for the movie, just like cast someone different. Well, he put on his makeup, Gianna. It's not like he's changed to this person. No, I know that, but I'm just saying, couldn't you just get an old guy? Yeah, but, I mean, you've got to have The Rock. You need The Rock. You need The Rock. And he needs to go and get the Oscar because he was trying to get it last time with Benny on The Smashing Machine, right? Did it bulked up style. Now he's going old man style. I love this for The Rock. This could work out. Give him the Oscar now. This is best actor material I'm all about. I'm not rocking with the lizard. I mean, so is this a, like, kind of more dramatic movie or kind of like a... I think it's more fun. I don't know. I think we don't know at all, Luke. I don't think this one feels more of a kid movie. Because I'm just curious. Wait, isn't it a kid's movie? It's Benny Safdie. Benny Safdie doesn't make kids' movies. Right. Well, I mean, I just think of The Rock, you know, as like Fast and Furious, you know, doing, you know, Central Intelligence with Kevin Hart. Kind of goofy. We're a long way from Hobbs and Shaw here, Luca. Not quite looking like a 70-year-old man. But, I mean, I guess. I'm curious now. No, absolutely. I'm curious, too. It comes out next December. I think I'm the most curious about hearing how his voice is going to come out of that 70-year-old body. I don't know how that's going to work, guys. But, I mean, tune in, I guess. Look for it around theaters and you, but that's all we have for you guys today. We'll see you guys tomorrow.
