Bill Belichick Gets Asked About Jordon Hudson Split | TMZ Sports

Welcome to TMZ Sports. Love is dead. That's right. TMZ and TMZ Sports last week broke the story that is shaking the sports world. Bill Belichick and Jordan Hudson have broken up and they have been broken up for nearly a year. Welcome to TMZ Sports. I'm Dylan here with Luca. Alex and Tawanda. Guys, this story has taken over the internet and actually we heard from the legendary coach today. We will get into that. But first, a couple details on this breakup. We have heard that the couple broke up about a year ago, but it's not, it's not very, there's not much animosity there. What we hear is that the two remain close as friends, that they have a lot of business ties together, and so that means we might actually see them together just as much as we did before. Now, Coach was asked during the North Carolina press conference on Monday about this, which of course, Bill loves talking football, but he also loves talking his personal life, doesn't he? Let's hear what he had to say. There was some national reporting over the weekend about the relationship status with Jordan Hudson on there. If you had a comment on that and what it might mean with this all. But do you want Kurt Tappel in there? Unfortunately, Bill. Yeah, I'll keep my personal comments and relationships to myself. That's all right with you. Well, there you go. And he's been doing that since they've been broken up for about a year. And I'm going to go out on the ledge and say that I feel that Bill was the one to be doing the dumping. Oh, really? I think that's fair. I think Bill has nothing to lose. Who's, uh, what are... Really, honestly, nothing to gain either from dating a 24-year-old at his age, his kids. We're not a fan. Okay, well, as soon as I said that out loud, I was like, you know what? Men might think a little bit differently, but yeah, no. His kids weren't a fan of the relationship. His ex-wife, Linda Thompson. Who he's very close with, wasn't a fan of the relationship. Did we expect her to be okay with the relationship? You know, yeah, because they didn't, they also weren't, they didn't have a bad falling out. But you just want your, you want to see your ex with someone who's good for him. And at the end of the day, I think a lot of people felt that Jordan Hudson was just clout chasing and was just trying to ride the coattails of Bill Belichick. Well, the fact that they've broken up, apparently for a year, but it's the money and the business ventures that have kept them together, isn't there? Which, yeah, we knew that, like, she was kind of in control with some things. Remember the 60 Minutes interview? Yeah, the interview, yeah. She was stepping in, and she's been on sidelines. She's been, you know, involved shooting commercials and all this stuff. Well, it makes a ton of sense, because, I mean, she seemingly just kind of inserted herself into everything Bill Belichick. She almost became his, like, pseudo-agent for everything, you know what I mean? A year is not enough time to separate all of your business ventures, all the things you have partnered with UNC, everything else that you guys work together on. So, I mean, at this point now, I mean, I'm glad that it wasn't an angry breakup because otherwise that would be pretty awkward when you have everything kind of intertwined like that. Bill also doesn't seem like a mean guy. He knows that if Jordan came to him and said, okay, we're not working out, but can we just not make it public right now? I think he's 110% said yes, which is why we saw Jordan at almost every single UNC football game this season except on Saturday when UNC played Miami. And almost beat Miami. It was, what, 38-35? Let me tell you, that is the luckiest day of Jordan Huntsman's life. I was going to say, and you know what? To be honest with you, UNC, or Miami didn't win that game. UNC just lost it at the end of the day because they should have gotten the dub. They were playing the number one team. And boy, like Lucas said, if they had beat the number one team. And Jordan wasn't there. It was on the heels of the news that they broke up. Because UNC has been kind of a dumpster fire since he came. Even before he was there. And even before. And he hasn't really helped all that much this year. They kind of have a little bit of traction. This year, they're not together. Exactly. It makes it look worse, even though, because last year, we saw Bill Belichick's Tar Heels look like doo-doo. They were not good. This season, they're 4-4. They're still not bowl eligible yet. But they look... Drastically different than they did last year, and you know, you not having Jordan Hudson in your ear and coordinating interviews where you've got bullet holes in your shirt might help you. Go back to ball. Sources also tell us that Jordan, Jordan Hudson, is dating currently, too, that while it is amicable, Jordan's moved on. We don't know about Bill. Is Bill moving on quick, you think? I don't think so, man. Bill, get back with Linda. See, the thing is, Bill's got all the money in the world. He's got a good gig going right now. Jordan seems to be making the most sense of it. Is her name Jordan? Why do y'all keep saying that? You do that because it's spelled O-N. Okay, well, hold on. Her name is Jordan. Okay, for Jordan, it would make sense that you go from 74, the old buck, to maybe a young calf now or something like that. Well, I'll just say, the thing about UNC, especially now that we know Jordan and Bill have broken up, and here's the deal with Jordan leaving him. Mike Lombardi, his longtime GM who came with him from the Patriots, ...left this season. His son, Steve Belichick, left this season, was supposed to be defensive coordinator, possibly take the head coaching role after him. Everybody is abandoning Bill Belichick this season. And it's working, which just is weird. Well, that's why you probably shouldn't. I mean, if your son's good enough to, but I just never liked the optics of your staff having the last name Belichick being so, so, so many places on the staff, like the staff list, like that's crazy. And then also having your girlfriend, whether Bill or Jordan were actually in love at any point in time, being so close in your work life, like that is a very touchy thing. Personally, I don't think Jordan ever liked this man. I think that she saw what she could get out of him, which was a career. Now we all know her as Jordan Hudson, Jordan, if you will. You had him at cheerleading competitions. Like, what the heck? I don't know. I think that she loved the lifestyle, that being with. Bill Belichick afforded her. We're going to expect Jordan and Pete Carroll to be getting together after this year. That would be wild. Is he too young? What is this? What is this? This is certainly the end of an era. Oh, Lord. Not sure if Bill's heart is broken, but his mind is still on football. UNC plays UConn next week, so I'm sure it's on to Connecticut.
