HAD TO MENTION THE PRICE Burger King EXPENSIVE Festive Burgers Review

I hope you're all absolutely merry, spot on. It's that time of the year, isn't it? It's Christmas coming. I know we're in November, we've not had bonfire night, but I'm off to Burger King. They've got a festive menu out, can you believe it? I don't think I've ever reviewed a festive menu before at Burger King. So I've got two burgers I'm going to look at. I've written it all down on a bit of paper. Ultimate Camembert Wagyu Burger. And they've got the festive Big King. Loads and loads of information as to what's in it. Or in them. So we'll take a drive to Burger King. We're here. There's no one in here apart from me and the staff. Well I've got it. Oh just bear with me I'm just setting up my tray. I've got my tray here look. You have to turn your steering wheel upside down I always forget. Yeah so I got the, there was a problem with the receipts that they wouldn't dish the receipts out on the actually you know them standing like standing computer boards. I had to go and ask and get the receipt from the drive-through. So yeah, I got the Ultimate Camembert Wagyu, £11.49 just for the burger. And I got the Festive Big King, that was £10.89, so a grand total of £22.38 for two burgers. That's the most expensive burgers I've ever paid for. I think I did a Gordon Ramsay Wagyu, that was over £10. So they were lovely in there, nice service in the end. That's your festive big king. I'll tell you what's in them now. And this is your gourmet king Wagyu. Look at that. Box must have costed it. The box must have cost a few quid itself. And I got some receipts. Some napkins. Right, so what's in it? The ultimate camembert Wagyu. You've got flame-grilled British beef patty layered with a deliciously gooey camembert cheese patty, Peppery rocket, truffle, black... Pepper mayo and sweet tomato cranberry ketchup served in a soft glazed brioche bun that's 790 calories. Now the festive Big King, I was looking at it there's nothing festive in it. Two flame grilled beef patties, two layers of American cheese, lettuce, pickles, five onion rings. That's the only thing I can think of festive. Big King sauce and glazed sesame bun. That comes in at 1096 calories. Wowzers. OMG. So right, let's have a look at the festive Big King first. They come like that. So I'll tell you what I'll do. Oh my goodness me, need a degree. I'll shut the box. Look at this. Oh my goodness me. Right. It opens up like that anyway. So that looks better, doesn't it? I'll try to get a thumbnail, but I'll do it like that. There's more weight in that one, yeah. I might as well open this now. I won't be able to shut that box. There's your onion rings look. So I'll try and get a thumbnail there. Right, I've got my thumbnail. A little bit of editing. I do do a little bit of editing as well, you know. Crikey, yeah, you definitely need it. I'll put that lid on the best I can and keep that warm. They were freshly made. There was no one in there, basically. So, God, this Big King is huge. Wow, look at the weight in that. Yeah, 1,096 calories. Let's just have a look. Check, I've got me five onion rings. Got five onion rings with all the bits and bobs that I read out. So let's try this. Yeah. What's that song? Five golden rings, four calling birds, three French hens, two turtle doves, and a partridge in a pear tree. You get the crunchiness from the onion rings, plenty of beef in there. It's massive. It is. Probably the biggest burger I've ever had from any of the burger restaurants I've reviewed. Restaurants? Takeaway joints I've reviewed. Don't do restaurants. Let's have a look here. Crunchy onion rings. It is tasty. It is, yeah. It is tasty. I'm not going to deny it. I'm going in again. I can't help getting big bites. It's my nature. I've just got to get big bites all the time. Like a gannet. It is tasty. I like the sauce. It's beefy, you're getting a crunch from the onion rings with the onion flavour coming through. It is messy, it is just cooked, there's no one else in, so they were just preparing my food. I did see just three people, which is a, you know, so it is warm. Service was lovely, and I do like it. I don't like the price, it was over ten quid. Unfortunately, there's nothing we can do about that, there's just nothing we can do about it. I'll put that lid back on, I'll cover that up, put that bit of lettuce in, that's escaped. Nothing festive really about it apart from the five onion rings. So let's try this, you can get meals if you want, I think the meals was 13 and a half quid but I don't want, I don't want, yeah this is a lot smaller, cool. This was, this was more expensive than the other one, it's playing They're playing on the old Wagyu aren't they? Yeah this was 11 pounds 49 pence. the big king Festive was £10.89 comes in a fancy wrapper look a fancy wrapper yeah that's what you get in there look so you get a just basically one burger and you get like a camembert patty um with some sort of cranberry i did write it down didn't know what did i do with all that some sort of cranberry ketchup yeah black pepper mayo let's see what this is like oh that is tasty that camembert is lovely it is the sauce is nice as well yeah and you've got some crunchy green rocket on there as well which you did see it came out unfortunately that's just casualties of being a food reviewer unfortunately it's just some things you can't edit out isn't there. I'm gonna go and in again that is lovely that is tasty I'm picking that black truffle mayonnaise is coming through that is lovely with the ketchup the cheese the burger itself is absolutely lost absolutely lost with the sauce and that camembert cheese and the star of the show is the burger what they should have done was they should have put two two beef patties in there for 11 pounds and wherever it was 11 and a half quid there should have been two beef patties in there made that the star of the show the wagyu beef it's just totally overrun by everything else um it is quite um sloppy as well but i don't mind that a brioche bun i don't mind the brioche bun But yeah, it's tasty, but I'd like to taste more beef. And I wouldn't be able to say, oh, that's definitely Wagyu. I wouldn't. I'm not, you know, a beef sort of connoisseur when it comes to it. It's beefy, but it's not, I'm not getting that through, really. I'm getting the texture, but the flavour is gone. I'm just getting the cheese and the sauce. Yeah, you should have put two in there. Would have felt a little bit more like, oh, that's not too bad, but still at 11. 11 and a half quid, you're still thinking, that's a lot of money for a burger. Prices are creeping up, like I said. We can't do nothing about that. We can't. Yeah, it would have been nice as well to have been the same size as the Big King. Yeah, it should have been the same size as the Big King. It is tasty, though, if not expensive. And it is repeating on me. And it is repeating on me. Sorry. Right, I've just spent 20 quid on burgers. Can't believe it. I'm going to...
