I'm really hoping that Trump gets squashed in the elections
and that they have some power
now to actually stop him from doing all
the crazy stuff that he's doing.
A lot of Canadians are living from paycheck
to paycheck and I think that the changes like
political in the US will definitely affect us.
We're going to hopefully for the better,
but yeah, we'll definitely see some changes soon.
This significantly will impact
on Canadian economy, Canadian job market,
Canadian investment, and Canadian financial market.
I think it was a wake-up call for us when the kind of geopolitical
scenario changed a couple of years ago, I'd say now.
But I think we're in a good spot where we've
at least made that realization
and building up for our own self.
Very interesting to have a conversation about
a U.S. midterm election here in Canada.
When we look at it from two aspects.
Both economically and politically centering around all of that,
I'd say one of the main words is tariffs,
both affecting things on both sides.
When we look on the economic side,
how it's affecting not just the cost of living, but businesses as well
and the business that they do with the United States.
We know a number of businesses have had to pivot around
that relationship because of those tariffs.
But when we look at how deep that relationship is,
3.6 billion dollars in goods
and services crossing the border every day, totaling about one point.
3 trillion annually. That's coming from Statistics Canada.
So it's a huge amount of money there with a very strong
and long lasting relationship.
But what is going to happen to that relationship?
It is being watched very, very closely and certainly very significant.
