Why are you registered Democrat?
Do you normally vote Democrat?
Yes, I'm a registered Democrat.
Was it more important or less important
or just the same as every other year?
I think it's more important this year.
I think we're close to making some changes in Congress.
And I think that's needed right now, absolutely needed.
Why is it needed?
To sort of push back on some of the changes
that the Republican Party specifically,
We are trying.
Trump, has made in the last two years.
What in specific? What were your big issues?
One of the big issues is this,
Definitely the big beautiful bill and what it's done to healthcare,
what it's done for Medicaid and Medicare.
Just taxes. I mean, I'm paying more taxes.
I'm paying more for my health care.
I'm paying more for everything.
And I feel like the big beautiful bill had a huge part in that.
And we need more representatives in Congress
that are gonna stand up to Trump for at least
the next two years. Anything else as far as like the war?
War, how do you, where do you,
What do you think is gonna happen if the Democrats don't take control?
I think we're going to be in Iran for a lot longer than you think.
I mean, there's unless Trump backs down
and I don't see with his with his personality,
I don't see him backing down for anything
and giving up and saying he lost.
So I don't know when that war is going to end.
I think there needs to be some pushback to on on Russia
and Ukraine that needs to be resolved
And I don't see, I don't see Trump resolving any of that.
And then again, there's just the kitchen sink issues.
I'm paying more for everything now.
Gas, my, my utility bills, they're all going up.
So I'm hoping that my vote today will make some changes to that.
Media, the noise.
It's all irrelevant.
This election, especially for the role of governor, just comes down to
who's going to allow your family to live a better life.
That's why Porv and I are in this together.
I truly believe we will be able to do that.
Our work begins tomorrow morning.
Tomorrow morning begins the process of holding us accountable for that.
But today, for the next 12 hours, the question is,
are you able to get out and vote like your
kid's future and your grandkid's future depends on it?
Because we believe that it does. When we
prevail tonight, we want to tell this entire state
that we're working together with a one
Ohio mentality. We're done with the us versus them.
Rural versus city or central Ohio versus
Or even in some measure, Democrat versus Republican.
We want to lead the state One Ohio mentality
and I'm confident we'll wake up tomorrow morning
to a new dawn where we're leading this state
to greater heights than we've ever seen and that is
what I hope makes families live
a better life after we're leading Ohio starting in January.
So thank you for your time. We're going to
get in there and cast our vote. Thank you.
Three other motors.
Who's checking that box next to my name
or frankly anything on that ballot.
I want them to hold me,
to hold all of us on this ticket accountable to deliver for them.
So today is about voting
and beginning tomorrow morning, I want the people
of this state to hold us accountable for delivering on lower costs,
lower property taxes.
Safer streets, this is a big issue.
The things I've talked about during this campaign,
we want to turn words into action that improves people's lives.
And as I voted today and watch all of those men and women in line,
I want every one of them to hold us accountable,
to do the things we told them we're going to do.
That begins tomorrow morning after we celebrate
what we hope and expect will be a victory tonight.
So thank you for coming.
Thank you.
Thank you.
There are threats to our
democracy, and I want to be part
of correcting the course.
I'm extremely upset with what's happening
in Washington, with President Trump's policies,
and I want to see Congress change.
I've definitely noticed issues with, like,
affordability and, like, groceries have gone up
and just the general direction the country's taking.
You know, I haven't been happy with the, you know,
Republican administrations for the past two years.
So this is, you know, I vote in every election,
but this one seems really important to just get my voice out there
and hopefully a blue wave.
I wish that we had a Congress where,
you know, in DC and in Harrisburg where
You know, if different bodies had different party affiliations
that they'd all work together,
but it seems like they don't.
So it seems pretty important to sort
of get across the board with one party
because it seems like the only way to get stuff done.
Immigration, I'm a very...
Very pro-choice, so I follow,
I don't think it's really on the ballot in Pennsylvania,
but I do follow abortion on the ballot, and I'm very pro-choice.
That issue is very important to me as well.
In terms of our governor, he's a Democrat, but I like him.
And if he was the president, I think I'd support him.
He just has character, and he's bright,
and I think his heart's in the right place.
Well, current administration is doing things the way they see best.
Yes.
I sometimes agree, I sometimes don't,
but whoever's in office I think deserves our respect.
Media, the noise, it's all irrelevant.
