Quick look at Harris County Attorney race

All right. Big changes on the way for sure. Well, polls are open for election day. If you happen to live in Harris County, one of the many races on your ballot will be the race for county attorney. We have Ruben Dominguez on the election beat this morning. He is joining us live from Kingwood Park Community Center with more on those candidates. Hey, Ruben. Yeah, guys. Good morning to you. So this is the Kingwood Community Center that you see here right behind us. I'm going to give you just a quick look, a shot at the door there. We've got the volunteers who are out this morning. They are already out here. You know, this is kind of like the last minute push where you can actually. Where you can actually give folks some maybe some last minute information that may or may not help make up your mind. But you had mentioned the race earlier just a minute ago for the Harris County attorney and that's Abby Kamen, the Democrat, the incumbent going up against Jacqueline Lucy Smith. Who is the Republican in this race, Abby Kamen is, she's her platform focusing on voting and election rights, environmental enforcement, consumer and civil protection. And then Jaclyn is, she advocates for running Harris County's district attorneys strictly, the office strictly by the rule of law. She's also a fiscal conservative, and she highlights strong fiscal management in her platform. And that's what she hopes to do if elected. You guys, as you know, the polls are open here. I will tell you if you're in the Kingwood area, and maybe you're thinking about, hey, do I vote before work, after work, Whatever Mike's been telling you, it could get a little dodgy with that rain this afternoon. If you come to the Kingwood Community Center, we're right here off of Rustic Woods. I can tell you, everybody is getting in and out easily. So if you've got a few minutes to spare before going to work, this is a good spot for you to come and vote. We'll be out here all morning long, guys. We'll see you in the next hour. Yeah, and that's what's so great about being able to vote at any polling location, if you live in most counties, is that you can plan your day around, like, where you live, where you work, where your errands are going to be, and just find a spot near there.
