All right. Here in the weather center, you know,
Mother Nature getting a little funny here, trying to like psych us out
with the clouds, like, oh, we can cool down. Not the case.
And then right back up tomorrow. Here we go.
A little bit more sunshine tomorrow afternoon.
And look, great weather for the election day tomorrow.
So it's like, you know, open the polls,
open the polls, polls and polls. I like it.
Yeah, hit the pools and jump in the pool on a very warm
or very mild Tuesday coming up here across the D.C. region.
But, yeah, weather's not going to give you any excuses.
It's going to be a great day to get out.
Go vote, and then, of course, stick with Fox 5.
We'll have election coverage all night for you tomorrow night
as those results start coming in.
Another autumn warm-up on the way
as we're going to go for day 17 in a row tomorrow
of another rainless day here in Washington.
Now, one thing that the lack of rain has actually been well-timed with
is the changing of the leaves.
The reason why, well, a lot of times
when those leaves start changing colors,
Of course, the trees going into kind of hibernation
for the winter leaves are very, very weak.
So any sort of rainstorm
or big windstorm coming up will knock the leaves right off the trees
and you'll progress this map very, very fast.
This has been a pretty slow progression
towards peak color here in D.C. this year.
The colors have lasted a lot longer because,
again, two weeks plus now of no rain,
no storms here in Washington to help get the leaves off the trees.
So very, very pretty across the D.C. region.
High color just about to move in or peak color.
Excuse me, we are in high color,
but peak color just about to move in before the end of the week.
So great couple of days here to get outside
and see some of those leaves.
Take a peek at them when you're out voting tomorrow.
47, Haymarket.
46, West Springfield.
La Plata's at 50.
Waldorf, 51.
Prince Frederick sitting at 50 degrees.
46, Bowie.
Beltsville as well.
50 for Columbia.
Germantown, Maryland sitting at 51 degrees.
Nothing happening on satellite and radar locally tonight.
It is a quiet night.
Clouds,
you can see a little bit of them at the beginning of the loop here,
but they're starting to fade off to the south and to the east.
Big picture will show you a few more,
even with some showers up through Ohio.
Mentioned that big storm system out
in the center portions of the country.
This is going to go almost due north,
and the trailing cold front where you see the
tornadoes, that's going to come our way towards the end of the week.
Now, it will be much weaker when it gets here.
No tornado threat for us here in Washington,
but we'll finally pull with that cold front
the chance for some showers into the forecast
by the time we get to Thursday.
Tonight, clear skies here for the next little bit,
52 degrees by the midnight hour, 2 o'clock,
50 degrees into the 40s.
We'll go with a few more clouds moving
in as we head towards the sunrise hours tomorrow.
High pressure in control.
It won't be perfect blue.
We'll have some clouds come across from time to time.
But still, 70s for early November is downright warm.
And for the next couple of days,
we will be downright warm here in the D.C. region.
60s, upper 60s, lower to middle 70s, sunshine aplenty.
It's a nice midweek forecast here in Washington.
73.
That's what we're going for officially tomorrow,
Wednesday, up to 76 degrees.
And then, yes, finally, towards the end of the week,
there's tomorrow, there's the day on Wednesday.
As we head into the day on Thursday, cold front finally on approach.
And it doesn't look like a heavy, heavy rain,
but at least a chance to end this dry streak here in Washington.
We'll talk more about this and the weekend beyond all coming up
with that seven day later in the show.
Angie.
