Most people do some work, fewer will actually work hard,
even fewer will work hard on a consistent basis,
even fewer will work until they actually succeed,
but then there's another level, then there's those who
will work relentlessly until they cannot fail.
If you're watching this video right now,
I need you to get up and give me one more.
I need you to give me one more day.
I need you to give me one more rep.
I need you to give me one more smile.
I need you to give me one more.
And then I need you to do it again, because ----'s never going to stop.
The success that you want in life is never out
of reach, so long as you keep going.
But you're letting one discouraging day,
one bump in the road, tear you down.
Well, let this be a ******* sign that whoever is watching
this video right now is going to succeed so long as you choose to.
So make sure you choose right.
I know how badly you want to quit, bro, because I've been there too.
No matter how hard it gets,
I need you to promise me that you'll give me one more.
This is going to be a lot of late nights.
A lot of early mornings, a lot of times I got to be by myself,
thinking about the process
that is next in my mind.
If you feel that you have no control over your life
and you are just spinning through this
chaotic mess of an existence,
the quickest way for you to start to regain control is to fix
something. I'm not even telling you what to fix, just fix something.
Sit down with a piece of
paper and say, what is the one thing that I know for certain,
if I fix, would make my life a little
bit better? And then forget everything else.
Sit down with that one problem and think of
Every single possible solution to that problem.
Then focus 100% of your energy on solving it.
And one by one, problem by problem, you go out
and you do the exact same thing that you did with the first one.
And before you know it, you've got control over your life again.
Do you honestly believe that you're
the only one that's going through hell?
I mean, think about it.
You believe that you're the only one that matters.
That you're the only one that's hurting.
That you're the only one that's been rejected.
That you're the only one that feels alone.
Let me remind you, too many people are going through hell right now.
Too many people are hurting.
Too many people are feeling a sense of failure
and don't know how to rise up from it.
But I'm here to let you know right now,
just because you are experiencing something
in your life that feels like hell,
that doesn't mean you stay there.
For once in your life, add some ownership,
some credibility behind your actions and your words.
Mean what you say, do what you say.
Follow through for something for one time in your life.
One time, follow through on what you said.
You will feel a high that you've never felt before.
When you follow through on things in life, guys,
you achieve the confidence, the mentality,
that anything's possible.
Maybe something that's holding you back
is you're waiting for the perfect time to get started,
To go work out, to go work on your craft, to go study,
you're waiting until for a day of the week
where you have the most energy,
where you're the most motivated.
You can't wait for the perfect moment.
You may delay, but time will not.
You may procrastinate, but time won't.
You may take the week off, but time won't.
How bad do you want this?
If it's as bad as you wanna live, breathe, or sleep,
whatever the hell it may be,
I can work with a lot of people, most people don't want it that badly
and it's hard, everything is
easy. If there's potential inside you
which you know it's there but you're too scared to tell
anyone else about it and you go on and on get older
and older and older and older and the
winners are not putting up the clothes
and you knew it could have been given birth to but you never did it
I promise you it will haunt you, it's a living nightmare dude
That fact, that you have the ability to do something,
and you have two weeks to ******* turn the key
and start the engine on it, and a greater burden to carry.
It all starts with this. Two hands. Putting it to work.
The thing that has worked for me is to remember the hard times.
And I just remind myself, alright, I was evicted when I was 14.
We were kicked off the island, we couldn't live in Hawaii.
Had no place to live.
It's also a lot easier to let go of something
when you're deciding to let go of it
because you've decided yourself that it's you're done with that
It's a weak part of you. It needs to disappear.
People can live with themselves
That's the first thing. A lot of people can live with themselves, look
in the mirror and say I'm okay with being afraid
A lot of us are going through a hard time in life.
Some people have been bullied. Some people are just stressed out
Some people are insecure. Some people are fat and overweight
I leave home, like you guys left home. I'm ready to tackle the world,
get after it, achieve my dreams and goals.
Crushed by 22, 23 years old.
Now I've got to move back in with my mom and dad.
A lot of what people regard as their own personalities and are proud
of about their own personalities aren't their own personalities at all.
They're useless idiosyncrasies
that differentiate them trivially from other people.
You have to first be uncomfortable with how you feel about yourself.
With that voice that a lot of us like to run away from, we all have it.
And if I could be who I needed to be, what would that look like?
Self-deception and arrogance.
To be proud of your insufficiency, that's a very foolish thing.
And that means to cling to the parts of you that are dead.
So we first have to face the real you,
who knows I'm weak, who knows I'm afraid,
who says, whatever you think about me, take it, whatever, I'm here.
At some point, you got to be tired of not being number one.
You have to accept what you're not.
And people don't want to do that.
That's the only way you can fix it.
You have to accept it first before you can go on the journey.
As you elevate your aim, you create a judge at the same time.
The new ideal, which is an ideal you,
becomes a judge because it's above you, right?
And then you're terrified of it, maybe.
Who they want to be, they act like they are,
but they're not because they haven't fixed
all this stuff yet.
You got to fix this first before we can start our journey in life.
Get rid of everything about yourself that isn't perfect.
There's nothing you can't accomplish.
The other end of suffering is a world that very few have ever seen.
The judge that you're creating by formulating the ideal
tells you what's useless about yourself,
and then you can dispense with it.
People, are you writing you off?
It should drive you. It should.
It works for me. It should drive you.
You're setting the example every single day of your life.
You may be tired, but you ain't ever coming back home, man.
Now you're judged.
Embrace the darkness. You do have to embrace the rage.
Every single person that you look up to,
your favorite person in the entire world, is a failure.
Has been, at one point or another, a failure.
Dissatisfaction is an innate part of our psychology.
There's no amount of money or success
or love that you're ever going to achieve where you're like,
Cool, I'm done. I got it.
The moment you realize the next step isn't going to kill you,
and that next step is the first step to evolving,
changing, growing, and learning, and becoming better,
Literally the best version of yourself.
That's the most beautiful thing.
You've got to have a reason why.
And most people who succeed ultimately have a strong reason why.
I look at rage and darkness as a supercharger.
I have a reason why.
And the supercharger on top of that engine is my rage and darkness.
So many people in life, through no fault of their own,
have a bar set for themselves,
a glass ceiling set for themselves that they don't even know is there.
I think more people ought to put themselves
in positions where they deal with adversity
and challenges so that they can develop some sense of anger
and darkness and rage.
The more we struggle with meaning or purpose in our lives,
the more hope we look for to
kind of compensate for that.
You almost have to take the huge goal and shelf it.
Don't forget about it.
But shelf it and now focus on everything that's small to get there.
I think we focus so much on trying to be perfect
when really we just need to be successful.
Even if you failed, that failure was an event.
It's not who you are.
It's not a person.
We're surrounded today by people being satisfied with mediocre.
As soon as I realized that I could believe in myself,
that it opened up a lot of the
doors.
It's not bulletproof, you know,
but this armor that we have around us, and that armor has
chinks in it.
We all have our own insecurities, our own fears,
our own limited beliefs, and our own
limited mindset.
We are imperfect humans with these doubts
and these cracks in what you see, and you
do that by one chapter in a book, or one video,
or one minute, or five minutes of visualization
and seeing yourself winning.
Put yourself in a position where you're going to thrive,
not where it's going to be comfortable.
But society, parents, whoever,
have set the standard for you to not play it safe, take risks.
What if you lose? What if you lose?
Who cares? As long as you don't die, you can come right back.
I said, what do you want? What's your passion?
What are you trying to accomplish?
You can't formulate a plan and figure out
the steps unless you know where you're trying to go.
How can you go somewhere if you don't know where you're trying to go?
And so the fighter jet mentality is that someone
who is just determined, relentlessly obsessed
in achieving an outcome in the face of all adversity.
So failure is an event, not a person.
Every single person that we've looked up
to has gone from failure to the next failure
to finally triumph
Have to move to start feeling something.
And if you move and start feeling something,
you're on your way to the best version of
yourself.
Out of how you've been showing up lately,
there's a lot on your plate, no doubt.
And it might feel like you're falling behind, but you're not.
You're overcoming stressful situations.
You're fighting for your mental health.
You're doing your best.
The only thing you're falling behind
on is giving yourself the credit you deserve.
Because at any given moment,
you're doing way better than your inner critic would like to admit.
You have a plan and you have a process.
When opposition, adversity, challenges,
uncertainty pops up, the problem doesn't look as big.
The adversity doesn't look as big.
The challenges don't look as big.
When you got a plan and a process in place.
Now, when you don't got a plan and a process in place,
adversity and opposition shows up,
uncertainty shows up,
problems look real big.
Adversity looks real big.
You forget about the sacrifice.
You forget about the long hours.
You forget about the vision.
You forget about the mission
because you don't have a plan or process, right?
The process makes you stick to
Whatever it is that you're doing.
How bad do you want it?
We all know when we're reliant,
it's exactly the person we want to become.
The question is, do we believe we can become it?
Without that belief,
every journey will turn into a debate.
A debate.
So when pain starts to fill the body,
you weigh the temporary pain
versus a lifetime of pride.
Champions find a way
to make it happen.
No matter how long it takes,
they find a way.
Champions
Find a way to get through their nerves.
So don't be ashamed to say you're nervous,
but find a way to get over it.
Passion and the drive has to be followed by an action.
That's the hardest part.
People don't want to have that action.
Dreams want to live just like everybody else.
And if you don't bring them to life, somebody else will.
And you're going to be sitting there back thinking,
man, I could have, I should have, I would have.
You had your chance.
You got to deliver.
You got to have action.
You got to deliver.
Ever tried?
Ever failed. No matter. Try again.
Fail again. Fail better. The world is yours.
You could either do the work today to become
your highest version tomorrow, or tomorrow you can feel
a lifelong of regret. That's a given.
The people who know that they were meant for more and didn't
go for more end up with a lifelong state of regret.
And the reason for that is, is because
They didn't want to hurt the people around them.
Didn't want to hurt family members.
But instead, they gave in to the life of average just
so they can blend in and not stand out.
And years later, they regret not doing the things
that they could have done to become a winner.
We often don't realize we're in control.
We're in control of our own lives and we can...
Make different choices,
and if the things in our life are not bringing us joy and happiness,
if our career that we've devoted all of our lives
to isn't bringing us joy, we can change them.
If we decide our relationship is not the right relationship,
we don't have to suffer in that relationship.
Comfort zone, that's where you will fail.
To get something you never had, you have to do something you never did.
You will fail in your comfort zone.
Success is not a comfortable procedure.
It is a very uncomfortable thing to attempt.
So you got to get comfortable being uncomfortable
if you ever want to be successful.
Ask yourself, what do you really want?
What do you really want?
I mean, down inside, if you can have anything you want,
what do you really want?
Let your mind take on.
You're a creative being.
There's nothing on the planet that's like you.
Give me evidence that you're not qualified to go get that.
Give me evidence that you're not qualified for a great life.
You have not.
You are ultra qualified.
No one can tell us what we're capable of except us.
And when we believe these truths, it's over.
You're unkillable.
You have the ability to take a sledgehammer
to anything in your life and remake it.
Life is clay.
So long as you realize that you can mold it
and shape it and change it to do what you want to do.
If you knew what you were doing,
then you would be stagnating because you'd be doing nothing new.
And so if you're going to do something new,
then that is what would be the catalyst for growth.
So you can't want to grow and also want
to know everything you're doing at the same time.
It's like the two beliefs contradict one another.
And so I think that's a lot of the...
Discontent that people suffer
from is they want two things that are polar opposites.
They want the really strong character.
They want the easy life. Like one is the price of the other.
You don't want hardship.
Hardship creates growth
and so they want both and you can't.
Basically it all begins with how we choose to think.
As you think so shall you be. Seven little
words that I think are perhaps the most important things
that we can learn and master in our lives.
This old proverb notion that I become what I think about all day long.
And once you know that what you think about is what expands,
you start getting real careful about what you think about.
You don't allow your thoughts to be on anything that you don't want,
or that you wouldn't want to have manifest
or show up for you in your life.
Okay, well, if you have some faults,
and you feel insecure and inferior because of that,
well, you should.
Now, it shouldn't be so much that you're crippled by it
and unable to take action.
You shouldn't be beating yourself into the ground
because you're not everything you could be,
because no one is.
And if you beat yourself into the ground,
then you can't get up and improve.
But you have to differentiate.
It's like, okay, to what degree am I being hard on myself?
counterproductively critical,
adopting inappropriate stereotypical representations of masculine
competence. How much of my self-criticism is ill-advised?
Fair enough. And you want to deal
with yourself with a certain amount of care.
But then along with that, there's the, well,
fix your weaknesses.
I tell people this is a daily practice.
Like if you get up and you have
no discipline whatsoever, you get no value in anything.
Diets don't work when you don't do them.
Exercise doesn't work when you don't do them.
But most of the people have some experiences that they want to shift.
And once you shift those things, your whole life changes.
But life is constant growth.
Everything worthwhile is uphill.
Life is difficult.
It really is.
What makes life difficult for a lot of people
is they don't think life should be difficult.
And so therefore, they're looking for a quick way,
a quick answer, an easy way.
There are none.
And to go uphill, you have to be intentional.
No one ever wrote a book on accidental achievements.
Sooner or later, you've got to bet on you.
You believe in everybody else,
you clap for everybody else,
you support everybody else,
you're making cakes and making cookies for everybody else,
but when are you gonna look in the mirror
and believe in the darn person you see?
It's about time for you to believe in you.
Stop complaining about the results you didn't get
from the work you didn't put in.
The only way to become more successful than most people
is to be willing to do something
most people aren't willing to do.
If there's something inside of you that you don't like,
a behavior, an emotion, a thought,
it's not you, there's nothing wrong with you.
It's a pattern.
And we can develop patterns and do them so often
that we think we're our patterns.
It's just a habit, a habit of thinking, a habit of emotion.
And the majority of the fears that we have
are not life or death fears,
not those kind of fears but through our imagination we blow them out
of proportion and we give them more power than they actually have
or deserve and we permit them
to govern our lives. We permit them
to determine how far we can stretch out on our dreams and
discovering our stuff. You can overcome anything except your own death.
Anything else will pass and
And when you're in the middle of it,
It sometimes seems like it won't pass, like your life is over.
You can only see according
to your perception of things.
So unless you make a change inside,
new opportunities will never come to you.
So when you make a mistake,
you have to have faith that there's always a way out.
You're going to work as hard as humanly possible.
Blood, sweat, and tears.
And nothing's going to happen.
And the hardest part is knowing that you're going
to have to show up tomorrow and do it all over again.
But that is the process.
That pursuit of maybe today will be the day.
Showing up, not knowing when the final destination is going to arrive.
Showing up regardless is what makes a champion.
It's not how you achieve your dreams, it's how you lead your life.
And the direction and the routine that you set
and how focused you are on the little things,
that's how you achieve everything.
You don't focus on the big goal at the end and have
all this hope and desire like, oh that's good,
everybody has that. But it's the ones that
strategically put it in place every single day
that really figure that out. You have to
dance beautifully in the box that you are comfortable dancing in.
Your box is different than mine.
Everybody has their own.
It's your job to try to perfect it
and make it as beautiful of a canvas as you can make it.
And if you have done that, then you have lived a successful life.
You have lived with Mamba mentality.
Look into the past and realize how much progress you've made.
How much better you are today than you were before.
And let that progress fuel you
to continue working towards becoming the next version of yourself.
Brother, it's the journey of life.
It's the journey.
The process is the prize.
The prize isn't the destination.
It's the process.
It's who you become.
No one is ever inspired by a movie where the hero didn't have
to overcome some great challenge after being brought to their knees.
Only to come back and claim the title.
What makes you think that your life should be any different?
That's the excitement of life, facing challenge and overcoming it,
and in the process discovering that there's
so much more to you than you once believed.
Life will test you. It's great to have a dream.
It's great to have a goal. It's great to have a
vision. But in your journey, on your way to the top,
life will test you. Life really wants to
weed out the people who don't truly want it,
who aren't really willing to go through anything. You
may say you're willing to go through anything,
but life will make sure that you're willing to
go through anything. Understand that you're just in a season.
And that you're going to go through many more.
And if it's bad now, it'll be worse later on your way
to bring your pastures, man.
And so if you just understand that it's only
for a period of time, and then if you keep punching long
enough that you'll come out on top,
I don't think there's anything in the world
that any individual can't do.
If they simply stick to the same fight,
know that they're in a season, and relentlessly refuse
to do anything other than succeed,
then I genuinely believe that.
The foundation of all strength is pain.
Embrace pain.
Pain is something to embrace.
If there's no resistance to you,
you're not gonna get anywhere in life.
The purpose of a goal is not getting it anyway.
The purpose of a goal, who you become.
Who you become is gonna make you happier,
it's gonna make you sad.
Because some people think
when you lose your dream
or you lose something, that it's over.
But you didn't lose who you are.
You lost that thing, that placement.
Life might not be adding up to what you want it to add up to,
but at least you have another,
every single day is a new beginning.
Every day is a new beginning and
Certain days aren't going to look like you want them to look,
but at least you have another chance.
Like 150,000 people die every day.
That's 55 million people a year.
If you're looking for a blessing, realize that's your blessing.
You have another opportunity in life.
The only way you're going to get strength in your life
is if you go through that hard moment, that tough moment.
Realize this, just because it's a chapter,
it doesn't mean it's your whole story.
Most people think the things
that are temporary are the permanent things.
The temporary passing.
I'm going through a breakup.
You don't understand that in a month you're going to be okay.
When you're in a low, when you're feeling bad,
you think that thing you're feeling is
how you're going to feel forever, which is what makes it feel worse.
All of your emotions are temporary.
They're passing things.
So most of our pain comes from believing,
I believe, that we should keep holding on
to these things that are really heavy in our lives.
We're constantly looking at life. What is it? What is it? Where are we?
Look how interesting. Look at different cultures, different beliefs.
How do they come to that? How do I feel about that? What do I think?
It is a daily adventure. You have your voice. It's there.
Just do it. Do it. Do it. Do it. Create. Don't let anyone stop you.
Life. Life is like a puzzle.
Life is like pieces of things that go through your life.
Images that are small fragments if someone sees them individually.
But for you, you realize they're part of a bigger picture.
If people knew all the things that you had survived so far,
things that you've been through,
if they only saw the big picture of your life,
instead of hating on you,
instead of dismissing you or disrespecting you,
they would stand and give a standing ovation
that you could even stand after all you've been through.
But the reason why you survived,
It's because there's something inside of you that is being transformed
so that everyone else can see
that every caterpillar can become a butterfly.
You've got to come out of cocoon.
Each and every one of you got a vision, man.
And you know it.
A vision to do more, be more.
And as I said earlier, your next level might not be upward, but inward.
That vision has been given to you.
But a lot of us, we discredit ourselves so much of the not enoughs.
I'm not enough for this.
I'm not enough for that.
Congratulations.
Maybe you're not supposed to be enough for certain things
because certain things aren't enough for you.
Maybe you're not supposed to be enough for that job
because there's a job greater for you.
Maybe some doors have to close in your life
so you can walk through the better doors that are meant for your life.
Maybe sometimes you're going to get some no's
that don't make no sense to walk into your yes.
I've learned this in life. Rejection is the ultimate protection.
Rejection is just redirection for what God has for your life.
You are a choice away from a new beginning
and a commitment away from a new life.
If you're an underdog, man,
the beauty of being someone who has to go through struggle,
the beauty, because you get that.
There's no, if there's no struggle, there's no,
if there's no struggle, then it's nothing.
There's no journey.
There's no journey.
Life is, if you're growing and you're talented and you're gifted,
like your talent, your skill
can get you out of certain problems, right?
And then you get to a certain point in life,
you hit a certain level of adversity and opposition
and your advantage becomes your disadvantage.
And if you ain't built right, if you ain't cut right,
it's going to annihilate you.
Everything can become possible if you find the way
to translate what is in the mind into action.
Because this transformation makes things come to us.
You got to come out of hiding.
You got to come out of being silent.
You got to stop being on mute.
You got to open up your mouth and let out a loud sound that says,
I am still here.
I am still standing in spite of what I've gone through.
You see?
You can be in spite, or you can live with spite.
When you live with spite and anger
and frustration about the things that have been done to you,
you miss out on all the beautiful blessings
of the lessons that were taught to you.
If you don't have any adversity, then you will have no story.
Fear limits you, but every day, just push it a little farther.
A choice away from a new beginning,
and a commitment away from a new life.
How specifically am I going to achieve that goal?
Like, what are the strategies and the tactics?
Meaning, what are you going to do?
How specifically are you going to do it?
By when?
I'm going to ask myself empowering questions like,
how can I overcome this obstacle?
What can I do to overcome this obstacle?
To manage your
Mindset and your emotion.
What are you going to do to overcome
the obstacles that are in your way?
Whether they're mental obstacles,
physical obstacles, financial obstacles,
strategical obstacles, tactical obstacles.
Well, yeah, if you want to achieve goals,
there's a thinking, there is a feeling,
and there's a behavior that gets you there.
You can't give away
what you don't have.
You can't give away love for others
if you don't have love in here to give away.
If what you have in here is contempt,
if what you have in here is anger, if what you have
in here is fear, then these are the things you're going
to be giving away in your life.
You need a sustaining meaning that's deep
and profound and deep and profound enough to get you
through bad times because there will be very bad times in your life.
There'll be death and there'll
be illness and there'll be disappointment of all sorts
and there'll be just the
standard difficulties of life in the world
to contend with and you really must have something
That's profound and powerful to set him against
that and I think that your voluntary adoption
of the struggle to improve being
is the proper antidote to that.
Right now in most people's experience, it is me versus universe.
This is how people are experiencing life.
Otherwise why continuous anxiety, fear,
they think they are fighting for their life all
the time.
Why?
They are fighting the whole universe.
Individual and the universal.
Being in competition with the universe is a stupid thing to do.
The thing that will make me love my life the most
is to do the things that are fulfilling.
And I think fulfillment has a very specific universal formula.
And that formula is work your ass off to get very good
at something that you care deeply about.
That allows you to serve not only yourself but other people.
That's it.
The simple thing is this.
See.
If your joy, your sadness, your happiness, your misery
is determined by something or somebody around you,
the chances of you being joyful in your life is remote.
Core, core of what really matters, that we are the same.
And you know how I know that?
Because all of us are seeking the same thing.
And we'll go out into the world and each pursue
based upon what you believe your talents are.
What your skills are, maybe your gifts are,
but you're seeking the same thing.
Everybody wants to fulfill the highest, truest expression of yourself.
Deep down inside,
I believe most people on the planet are heartbroken.
Why?
Because they have betrayed the visions,
ambitions, values, mission in their heart.
They have betrayed their talent.
It's all the things that you aren't willing
to give up for the dreams that you have and
that is what the person who will beat you is willing to give up.
You might slip and fall in the process
of trying to achieve your goals, but you need
to remember that it's all part of the journey.
You see many people say they want to be great
but they're not willing to pay the price of greatness.
Are you willing to do what most people are not willing to do?
Are you willing to put in the work even on holidays?
Are you willing to work to perfect your craft even on weekends?
Are you willing to study and get better
and grow even on the nights you're invited to those parties?
Are you willing to pay the price of greatness?
Are you willing to pay that entry fee,
the cost at the door of what it takes to be great?
You don't just stumble upon greatness.
You pay the price day by day, moment by moment.
Winning didn't know my name.
Winning doesn't know who the hell you are.
Winning keeps his hands in his pocket.
It's going to keep his hands in his pocket.
You know why?
Because it doesn't want to point to anybody who isn't worthy.
In order to see winning in all its glory, it wants to see you suffer.
It wants to know what you're made of.
You stay in environments where people don't recognize the value of you,
you will shrink your gift to the size of what they can stand.
And that's what causes anxiety and depression and stress.
Because you have had to shrink
into a form where people can tolerate you.
I don't wait for the perfect moment.
Usually the perfect moment is now.
The right time to tell somebody that you love,
that you love them when you feel it, is right now.
The right time to make that contact, right now.
So, I want to challenge you today.
That call you need to make, make it now.
That email you need to send, send it now.
That chapter you need to write, that copy, that funnel, do it now.
I love knocking things off the list because that creates momentum.
And the more you do this, ironically, you will develop confidence
in yourself to be able to attack things in the moment.
It's not just about you.
It's not just about whatever you're going to get.
It's about the example that you're setting
for every single person around you.
It's the example in your household.
It's the example in your neighborhood.
It's the example in your community.
And if we all took that seriously,
the world wouldn't look the way that it looks.
You have an obligation to extract the potential that is within you.
You are given gifts.
You are given a purpose.
You may not know what they are yet,
but it is your duty to figure out what they are.
It is your duty to become the
The best possible version of yourself and you figure out
who you are and what you want to do and you devote your life to it like
a maniac, like you're all in on this thing and you manifest.
Most of these people end up doing what they say they're going
to do and being who they say they're going to become. It's real.
Okay, each and every day I'm just going
to try to progress little by little.
I'm going to try to take small, small steps each and every day.
Understanding that every day is not going to be perfect.
I'm going to make mistakes.
I'm going to have days where I mess up.
But that's okay because we're focused on the progress.
We're not focused on trying to be perfect.
And when you focus on the progress, that means even through mistakes,
you're looking for the lessons and the ways that you can grow
and progress through the mistakes.
The important thing is that you just keep climbing.
Even when you do slide back, you're never at the bottom,
because you're always higher up than
when you started.
We live in a constant state of fear of missing out.
We're always thinking about what we have pending,
the plans, the future, our vision.
There's almost like this ADD quality life now
and especially now with social media and with
all the things coming at us so fast
and if you're committed to creating big results in your life,
you have plans, you have goals,
but a lot of that steals time and steals moments from us
and the magic is in the moment.
I'm here, I'm all in, I'm engaged with you
because so many people are not present,
they miss out on things, they miss out on life.
And I think that one of the biggest problems
that we have is that we think that where we
are isn't it.
This is not it.
And so we think that happiness or joy
or fulfillment is in the future or it was in the past because
then we lost it.
One of the things that we do is we miss out on the moment
and we don't realize that happiness
is right now because the only moment that we really have is this one.
There is no other moment. The next moment is a promise.
The next moment is an idea.
The last moment is over. We live life like we have forever.
We live life like it's gonna,
like there's a guarantee of tomorrow.
And I don't know there's another moment. And so when I live
life from this is the only moment I have,
I'm living life from urgency. And so I'm living life
from I may not see you again, so let me be present.
Or I may not, we may not pass this way again.
And so when I live from the moment,
what I'm doing is I'm celebrating it and acknowledging it.
And I'm able to be present in it.
And so what stops me from that is the guilt of the past
and the anxiety of the past
and the resistance of what I've been through,
afraid of going through it again.
Embrace and accept where you are.
That what's happening right now is actually happening for you.
That what's happening right now is your benefit.
Because as long as I'm thinking that this relationship isn't it,
this moment isn't it, this house isn't it, this career isn't it,
what I'm doing is I'm putting all of my happiness on a result.
being grateful for the moment that I have,
whether it could be a bad moment, it could be an amazing moment.
Because my happiness is up to me.
And so my enjoying of this moment is up to me.
And so when I'm able to embrace the moment and live in it,
then I'm present.
So many people go through people's lives and they were never present.
They were never there.
They were never connected.
They miss out.
They don't remember even conversations.
You see it at funerals.
People are like, what was the last thing I said to them?
Or what can I remember of them in a whole lifetime can
be summed up in two conversations.
Where there were so many moments that you
were with somebody that you weren't present.
And so by not being present
with the responsibility of what I'm creating,
then what I do is I'm always thinking that this is not it
and it should be different
and then we stay stuck
and then we're stuck in a situation we don't want to be in
and then we're miserable about it and we complain about it
but we don't do anything about it.
You're deciding not to decide, and so you're making a choice
to be in limbo, which is why so many people are unfulfilled,
because they're not doing what they want to do.
If you're in a career that you're not all in, get out.
If you're in a relationship you're not all in, get out.
Be in ownership of whatever moment you're in.
Most people are spectators. They're like watching.
They're observing. They show up to a place and they observe.
They go to the party and they, oh, I don't like the food.
I'm like, you know, this is the vibes weird. And then they're
in this observer mode or they show up into situations.
Their life is their life, but they're a spectator. What
is your intention when you're sitting down with your significant other?
What is your intention when you go into the board meeting?
What is in your intention when you're talking to your employees?
What is your intention when you talk to your mom?
So what's the experience that you want to create
when you're with that person?
Accountability is love.
Holding people accountable is saying I love you.
When I hold you accountable,
I'm saying you're capable of a bigger game.
And so holding people accountable to being present
creates an environment of people being present.
And also there's the whole thing of wanting more, more,
more, more, more, more money, more followers, more success,
more of whatever, something hotter, something brighter.
And we don't realize that the keys to joy
and happiness is happening right now. This moment, this is the moment.
All of those things will never bring fulfillment
and don't bring people back and don't bring memories back.
You know, some people are so on auto, it's like we live on autopilot.
In this moment, it's the most important moment you have,
because you may not have another
one.
You may not wake up tomorrow.
The plane may not land.
So I think that if we live,
we live more consciously present and be present with the people that
we love, express how we feel today, make every moment count.
This will elevate people's lives.
If you've got something that you want,
what is stopping you from getting it?
an awakening that you that you should have kind
of a self-reflective awakening where you can
actually understand the fact that you're
not just floating through space in your life oh man
you gotta you gotta realize that you're
in complete control right you're behind the
wheel every day it's just filled
with cracks cracks are tragedies our setbacks are
...challenges, but it's through the cracks that the light gets in.
So the truth is we have to look at pain
and suffering not as something we invite and welcome,
but if it does come our way,
you have to see it as the ability for a new birthing,
for like a paradigm shift,
and all paradigm shifts happen through some disruption.
You go higher, you go even more alone,
because nobody is willing anymore
to invest their energy in going higher,
because it's becoming more difficult.
People don't realize is that when you walk through
your journey of life, it's education.
The world is your teacher.
But the thing is, not all of us have the courage to live this life
because we're afraid of
failures.
We're afraid of mistakes.
We're afraid of hardships because that's survival mindset.
But what if I were to tell you to place it all on the line,
bet it all over your own
existence to live your truth?
Because through my struggles, I found my truth.
The actions that you take, the choices that you make,
the decisions that you make.
Determine who you are.
We're the ones who get to die.
We're the lucky ones.
You only get to die for having lived.
Most people who could ever exist will never even be born.
You won the lottery.
Most people will never even know there was a lottery.
I just don't get the mentality of being head down sad.
Please, take a step back and think about
how awesome it actually is.
And then recognize that you can attack the world
in a totally different way,
because you were lucky enough to be born during this era.
Life is not gonna get easier.
It's just that your mind and your body
become more resistant, more strong.
Same situation,
more relaxed.
Why? Because you finally start to find a solution
that is within your reach, within your hands.
Winston Churchill
said many years ago,
history will be kind to me for I intend to write it.
A heartbreak, a breakup, parents getting a divorce,
a fight, getting bullied.
All of these things then make you because of those experiences.
Now when that happens, you are going to do one of three things.
You know the whole flight, freeze or fight.
Now, you know what? Freeze happens, nothing happens.
Flight, nothing's happening.
But fight, that part is born during those moments.
What if I get asked a question that I don't have the answer to?
One of the scariest things about life is a question.
The scary question can shake a soul up
because no one's asked that question for you.
If you don't ask the questions of what you want to do next,
the world is going to put you in the box on what you have to do next.
And you are rising up to their expectations
because you're not asking the questions yourself.
What life do you want to live?
And why do you want to live this life?
Why is it important to you?
Why is it what you're putting through all these hours?
Why would you want to do that?
That's transition when you go through it.
And then the pressure part, when you said,
here's who I'm going to be,
when you declare your intentions to the world,
this is what I'm going to be doing.
A lot of times we keep things a secret.
I think declaring intention serves a purpose.
I think when you go out there and you say,
this is what I'm going to be doing.
This is where I'm going to be at.
You officially have the world holding you accountable
That pressure could be good pressure to put into your life.
The identity goes from being a regular person to the next day,
no one recognizes them.
Haters highlight your weaknesses.
And if you're smart, you're like, he makes a good point.
Hey, one day I'm going to make so much money,
I'm going to shut everybody up.
That doesn't work.
First of all, that's not going to take place.
So you have a choice.
Either you can say, I don't want to deal with the voice,
live a small life, but if you can't live a small life and you have
to live a big life, you have to understand that it's going to be pushed
and you have to figure out a way to silence everybody.
Anticipation is gained. The more you tell the world how
to manage expectations, dealing with you and what to anticipate,
you actually minimize a lot of the noise.
We don't take the time to say, what are the values
and principles that I'm willing to build my life on?
And what really are they? What are you willing to really stand up for?
You know, what is your core belief system? You got to go really deep,
really deep with purpose and really deep
with if you don't move what could take place.
For people to sit there
and realize if you really want to move yourself,
ask the questions,
go deeper on what life could happen, both good and bad,
happen to both of them and hopefully
that creates urgency for you to start taking
the next necessary steps.
The gift of imagination and visualization is rarely used properly.
Most people know what they need to do,
but very few actually do it.
We spend a lot of time trying to figure out how to get better
and way less time actually doing the work.
It all comes down to how much you want it.
Most people know what they want,
but very few people want it bad enough
to actually do something about it.
So on the days where you don't feel like showing up,
are you the kind of person to push past and keep going?
Or are you the one looking for an excuse to take a break?
And the last thing I think about is like, why not?
Like, why not you?
Like, why can't you achieve all the things
that are in your heart and your mind?
Why can't you, you know, break that generational curse?
Why can't you get up and start taking those steps?
You know what I mean?
Why?
Like, what's stopping you?
And when you really get to the root of what's stopping you,
the only thing that is truly
stopping you is you, you know,
and you have the power to take that stand and to pull one
foot in front of the other, take it day by day, step by step.
And become the person that God made you to be.
You're not what your parents tell you you are.
You're not what your friends tell you you are.
In fact, you're not even what you tell yourself you are.
Because you don't even truly understand your limitless potential.
So when you live in a situation where you're limited by the opinions
and the insecurities
and the projections of other people,
what you're doing is you're limiting your potential
and your growth for self-development.
And the first part is understanding
that you can become whoever you want to become.
You're a mystery to yourself.
You don't know who you are.
You have patterns of behavior and you're not even understanding that.
You don't know why you're angry.
You think you're angry because
that person said something mean to you or did something
wrong, but in fact your anger probably stems
from things from deep, deep within from your
childhood and you're not reacting to that person
but to actually your parents and what
they didn't give you.
The loser could keep on going if he continues to win.
The champion is the person who gets spit on, flicked off, pushed down.
Said they don't belong here, but yet they rise.
A champion keeps a promise to the one they love the most.
A champion doesn't allow the conditions or circumstances to influence.
They influence the person they wish
to be by the actions they take every day.
A champion lives by a powerful code.
This is the beginning of a new day.
You have been given this day to use as you will.
You can waste it or use it for good.
What you do today is important
because you are exchanging a day of your life for it.
When tomorrow comes, this day will be gone forever.
And this place is something that you have left behind.
Let it be something good.
You know, where you're going, right, where you're destined to go,
it's not supposed to feel good all the time.
It's not supposed to be easy.
You know, so when you're going through seasons of discomfort,
seasons of feeling overwhelmed,
feeling pulled in a lot of different directions,
understand that it's a part of you getting
to the place that you want to be,
you getting to the best version of yourself.
It's all playing a role.
If you win enough days, you win the week.
If you win enough weeks, you win the month.
If you win enough months, you win the year.
And if you win enough years, you win the life.
It's that simple.
All right?
There's no magic outside of that.
There's a saying, there's a quote that I really believe in.
When the pain of the current reality becomes greater than
the fear of change, that's when we change.
So when the pain becomes so intense that it's greater than
the fear that you have of the unknown,
then you'll go into the unknown.
Sometimes you need to feel the pain
and sting of defeat to activate the real passion and purpose.
You would rather find purpose than a job or career.
Purpose crosses disciplines.
Purpose is an essential element of you.
Challenges come so we can grow and be prepared for things
that we're not equipped to handle in the moment.
When we face our challenges with faith, prepared to learn,
willing to make changes, and if necessary to let go,
we're demanding that our power be turned on.
Just for me.
If you're scared, good.
Do it scared.
When anyone is pursuing something new and it terrifies you,
that just lets you know that it's valuable
and potentially world-changing.
If it doesn't scare you, it's not big enough.
If people don't doubt you, it's not big enough.
If you don't contemplate quitting, your vision is not big enough.
Everyone goes through these things,
but the ones that push through are the ones who succeed.
You know, there's something powerful that once you just sort
of embrace the fact that in order to achieve something big, you've got
to get rid of these distractions, you're probably going to have
to have some suffering to get there or some sacrifice to get there.
Suffering and sacrifice and hard work.
It's an indication of progress towards our dreams.
The lack of sacrifice, the lack of suffering in our lives,
it's removal, it's non-existence,
also equates to a non-existence of a great life,
a non-existence of a dream happening.
When we're suffering and sacrificing, we wonder whether it's worth it.
We wonder whether we're supposed to.
We wonder whether sacrifice or setbacks
or suffering is a sign it's not our real dream.
And so just remember this.
You're supposed to suffer and sacrifice.
Hear me.
It's not what you're capable of, it's what you're willing to do.
It's not what you're capable of, it's what you're willing to do.
I know plenty of people that are capable.
I know fewer people that are willing.
If I want to be good, I got to wake up in the morning,
I got to do the extra work and I got to show up when other guys aren't
and I've got to learn, I've got to continue to be open to learning,
but I had to take it to a new level that the other guys wouldn't.
Whatever they ask me to do, that's what I'm going to do to the best
of my abilities. I'm going to go out there and compete as hard as I can
and I'm going to treat practice like a game.
I'm going to work hard in the weight room.
I'm going to work hard in the film room.
I'm going to work hard to be a good student.
We're all going to have to face the consequences
of our decisions at some point in our life.
You can scroll social media and play video games
and pretend that reality doesn't exist.
But the reality is a moment
is coming where you have to face your decisions.
Were you the person that you wanted to be?
Did you live the life that you wanted to live?
With all the distractions in the world,
it's real easy to pretend that moment isn't coming.
But the truth is it's coming and you don't know when.
And that is why you have to live your life in such
a way that if that moment arrived tomorrow,
You would be happy with how you lived your life today.
